FOr those non-New Yorkers out there, which is most of you. Today is the parade in honor of the Giants down the Canyon of Heroes (Broadway).

I took the Metro-North train from my house into Grand Central Station as I normally do before catching a Subway to my office. The Metro-North train had more than twice its usual ridership with high school and college age kids all decked out in Giants paraphernalia. There were also older people, 20s and 30s, also dressed up.

This brings me to my point/rant. At eight in the morning, on a commuter train, why on earth is there a need to drink? Lord knows, I have had a drink or two in my lifetime. But chugging beer and doing shots from a fifth or a flask on a train at that time of day is just crazy. Nothing good is going to come of that.

Anyway, I skipped the parade and went straight to my office.

ClearScreen

What ticked me off is that it interrupted "The Bass Pros" on VS, I mean NBC Sports Channel.....

Fuzzisms. :lmao:

Don;t leave out pool-hopping! :rotfl2:

How could you forget the "taking kids out of school" debate?:teacher:

I saw that!!! CLASSIC!!! :lmao::lmao:

Multiple ADRs....

Line jumping

Cutting in front of people waiting for the parade

Brazilian tour groups

All of you left out the big one: Giving up seats on a bus.:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Some of these people, I swear, they're right on the edge of a melt down...

:lmao: some people take life way to serious. :lmao:
im never going back!!!! :lmao: all these people not going back after any change that they do or not do, the place should be just about empty. :lmao:
name calling, personal attacks, good god, relax, smile!!!! its a ride!!!! :lmao:
the best part, the mod chimes in and stirs the pot.:lmao:

Oh yeah - some people really take it all WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too seriously. Sheemanee... the company reserves the right to make any changes at any time. Wow.

That's why I stay away from those kinds of threads. They all just get too worked up over silliness.

I use the FP's - but at the same time, I don't live or die by them. If they're gone for the day, they're gone. If they are available, ok. I still firmly believe however that FP's have changed the theme park experience in a negative way, and honestly wish they'd never been invented. But hey, since they have them, and they aren't yet to the point of charging for them, I'll use them. I'm certainly not going to say such silly things as "I won't go back" though just because they change the game a little bit. Good grief.

I think the best strategy they can deploy is to boycott the parks anytime a disdad has a trip planned. That'll show them! and reduce the crowds for us..win-win! :lmao:

For those of you not following along with my Trip Report, I thought I'd just mention that I just finished a chapter about part of our visit to Gatorland. I struggled to decide if I should call it "The Dumbest Thing I've Ever Done" or "The Line of Death". Either way, it's right here if you want to give it a quick skim over.

Ummm... yeah... The kids sure didn't have any problems getting up to the line, did they?!? Sheesh

Can't keep up with the chatter today--having a Beverly of a work day. Getting tired of other groups in the department trying to assign as many of their responsibilities as they can to my group. Also getting tired of my superiors not fighting against it. :headache:

Ugh... department wars. The next adventure in reality TV :lmao::lmao:

You know, it was halfway into our trip last year that I even HEARD of this policy. Before then, we stuck to the window. So we still have to, big deal.If people want to be like this, I really don't want to be vacationing with these types anyways. Let 'em stay home.

Hey Randall- What's for dinner tomorrow? I need to be in Baltimore Wednesday night for an early meeting on Thursday.

Hey Fed...what's your schedule look like noonish on Feb. 27th. if not then well maybe on the way back up on Mar 2.

Should be cruising thru your neck of the woods (St. Mary-Florida Welcome Center) around Noon give or take an hour. I would like to meet-up if your available...

My DS17 who think he wants to be in the FBI would probably like to meet an NCIS agent as well.

:lmao: that was good!!! i liked, during the line of death picture, who got stuck next to the gators. bambi is in perfect position to grab the two kids, hip check barry and collect double the life insurance policy. it was an accident.:lmao:

Been MIA due to work work work, but looked on tourplans and was a little :scared1: about touring plans saying that March 12-15 being 10's all week? Easter is late this year, can this really be true? not too thrilled about the thought of the crowds.

Rocky Mountain Oysters.

Where are you staying Chris?

:rotfl: I'll pass on that meal.
Actually, I'll be staying in White Marsh MD and heading in to Balt the next morning for the Auto Show. I'll try to have dinner with my family and then head north so I'd actually be arriving fairly late. Pity, with such a delicacy being served for dinner.

As you can see, she has her hand on Madison's hip, ready to grab her and Evan's hand. I don't think she would take the time to hip check me. But I can't guarantee it.

Seeing the posts about the complaints, whines, rants, etc and I couldn't help but think that don't these people realize that these are just their opinions? They don't count for anything more than that? One man's thoughts are simply that and don't necessarily need to be broadcast to the world? Unless they are mine and then everyone needs to know them because I am the center of the universe.:thumbsup2
