Oh c'mon - there have been many days when I haven't been here at all - and you guys just run and run with it. Today, it's been mostly me. That's okay. You can all still play here. I'm not the king of the hill... that much.

I moved some DVC questions I was going to put here to the DVC thread.



We enjoyed DCA but it seemed like there was a lot less there than at Disneyland. It was also really tight coming through the main entrance because of all the construction walls that were up. The construction walls heading down towards the Art of Animation really closed the park in. I think visually the park will seem much bigger once the walls come down and it will add another e-ticket too. It was amazing to see from the top of the Funwheel how much of the park was under construction.

Most definitely.

When DCA first opened - it was very much like DHS - pretty much a half day park. In the 11 years since it opened, much has been added, and much is still coming. Once this massive relaunch is completed - DCA will be a nice, full-day park, with lots to see and do. It still won't have as much as at DL - but then really, no park has quite as much as at DL. DL simply has the most attractions, shows & entertainment jammed into the acreage of any Disney park. Period. And if the much discussed, debated and rumored Frontierland expansion comes about in the next few years - watchout! It will just add to the incredibleness of it all.

Wearing the medal around post race is one of the really neat things about doing a race. The running community is generally pretty friendly and supportive, but nothing compares to the way its handled at Disney. Its pretty much accepted to wear your medal around the parks for the remainder of your trip up to about a week. The whole time people congratulate you and other runners will talk to you and commiserate about the races. It doesn't matter whether your wearing a Marathon or a 5k medal that weekend you are a "runner" part of the family and everyone will congratulate you. Hopefully you'll be able to stick around a little longer next year.


So DW just dropped the bomb. Without prompting she mentioned we might want to start looking at DVC. I love my wife, so I'm willing to make a sacrifice and start evaluating it.

It's terrible. And, to make matters worse, I picked both games in Yahoo wrong. I may need to rethink tomorrow. I did get to catch 4th quarter of NE/SF game. It was great.

I'd like to make up an elaborate story, how Mike Myers was my best buddy growing up 1 street away, and we'd play road hockey all day long, and how he even based one of his SNL characters after me. Oh, the good ole days.

But that would be a lie, the truth of the matter is... I won it! I filled out a ballot at one of the Toronto landmark record stores (years ago), and they called me and asked me if I filled out a ballot... I didn't remember filling it out, but I must have. They told me to come down and pick up my prize.
