Good Afternoon!
It's an obvious assumption that lack of use would be the reason behind it. (DW had a card closed for that reason once). But mine was closed with a high balance on it. The three reasons listed were:

1. Delinquency on accounts (I've fallen behind on all my bills in the past 3-4 months.
2. Delinquency reported in the last 48 months. (see #1)
3. One of more of your accounts with us is currently delinquent. (see #1, again)

So... according to Chase, I am a delinquent. Even though I speak to them weekly to update them on my situation and arrange payments when I can and they refer to me as a "valued customer" with no previouse history of problems paying my account. But of course, that's a different department.

Ahhhhh - the old "universal default clause." I HATE those. There are, at times, valid reasons for a delinquent account. (In my case, we had an entire box of checks stolen, and it took fully 18 months to clean up all of the chaos that created). In any case, sorry you're having to deal with this. I feel your pain, having been there myself at one point.

Well it looks like I'm in good company as we fall into this camp as well. We would love to go to WDW every year, but with family away and frankly our desire to see more of the USA (and world) WDW every year is just not feasible.

Uh oh. My nemesis agrees with me. This can't be good for the space-time continuum.

Starting to think about our October trip, specifically ADR's. Not sure if I want to go with the old standby's, or try some new places... Seems we always end up doing the same places because we enjoy them so much, but this last trip we purposely tried all new places for as many meals as possible, and really enjoyed ourselves...

Might need a glass of scotch or two tonight in order to make these difficult decisions...

I might lose my membership, but I don't need to go to a Disney Park every year. I can usually only afford one vacation a year, and there are lots of places I want to see. So I'm happy to try and get back to Disney once every few years. For us, that helps keep the magic and novelty of the parks alive.

No shame in that at all. Not going to lose your membership over such a thing as that. I agree with you there are lots of other places to see and visit.

Wow... FL in July... Better than August! Maybe she was also trying to talk herself into it with all those sweet words...

YES, we have snow. It snowed all day long yesterday. Ice for a while this afternoon. Blech.

i still call it epcot center. took me a long time to stop calling the mk, disney world. when i was a kid, mk was disney world, there were no other parks. and i guess as per roy disney, its walt disney world, not disney world. now, i dont really have to answer the "oh, your going on vacation, where ya goin?" question anymore, they just ask when are you leaving this year and coming back.

I still call it Epcot Center myself a lot.

Or the boards are so unbelievably slow it's painful.

PAINFULLY, yes.

We love to see other places as well. Our kids have been to 28 of these 50 states, with lots of great destinations under their belts. Everybody's different, and that's okay.

I've decided to just roll with it, assuming the boards are functioning at normal speeds and I'm just doing everything else faster. It helps if you periodically play this sound in the background or when you do things like walking to get coffee.

It turns out DW's Iphone hasn't shipped yet. She knows it's coming, and has been eagerly awaiting its arrival. However, when I tried to track the shipment today, the system could not find my order. I then logged into my account online, and at the top of the screen it said something to the effect of:

"your pending order cannot be shipped until you accept the terms and conditions. Click here to view and accept terms and conditions"



I ordered the phone at the VW store, not online. I hadn't logged into my account since before that. If that was something I needed to do, why couldn't they tell me that at the store, or better yet, have me do it at the store!! ugh!@!@!@!@!@!@!!!!

I went on line and pre-ordered the Nike Fuel Band last night. Got all excited about it, and then got an email this morning telling me it will be delivered on Feb. 22. Got all excited for nothing!

I hear you. I hate Chase. I had a credit card with them with an 11% interest rate. I ALWAYS made my payments on time (and paid a little more than minimum). One month I accidently did not get my payment done on time. I was 2 days late. They immediately raised my rate to the maximum 29.99%! I called to plead my case, but they wouldn't have any of it. They said to keep paying on time and check back in 6 months. I checked back 9 months later after always being on time and they still refused to lower the rate. So I made arrangements and paid it off in full and then closed it.

Those look really neat. Our neighbors got Jawbone ups for everyone in their family and really liked them until they stopped working. I really like my Nike + sportband.

First Answer: Not very. Especially when you're all jacked up on adrenaline and P.O.'d.

Second Answer: Yes (Get your mind out of gutter). Believe it or not, women fight worse than men in certain situations. Men being Men are usually hesitant to knock the you know what out of a female fighting with them, because your whole life you're taught not to hit girls. That changes when you try to take one to jail and they turn into the Tasmanian Devil on you.

I actually had no intent on being in the gutter for this one! Any woman crazy enough to get pulled out of a cart hat way has GOT to be crazy!

I think you'd find that with most, if not all, cc companies. We only stick with Chase for the Disney rewards. There are some better reward programs out there, but it's nice to use the Disney dollars to pay for park tickets and such...
