 Burned through another thread already???

Goodbye XIV. We knew you well. Ahh, not really. You didn't stay around long enough to get to know you...

No way to get caught up at this point so I'll just bid you all HAPPY WEEKEND!

good morning. won't be online all day, due to DD's birthday party extravaganza. Computer must be disconnected to make room... lol

It's very cold here in Southern Ontario.

We will be getting together with some friends tonight.

Looking for an indoor activity for 4 kids.

Any suggestions....?

Morning all!

I have a feeling it's going to be a boring weekend, I have no plans and no idea what to do.

Right now, I'm watching a lame movie about Cleopatra. Sample dialogue, "HA HA HA! I'm laughing now!"

Let them all make cookies. Yummy!

My DD had such fun with that last night, she's already asked this morning when she can make more. :thumbsup2 Definitely a little chef in training here.

Got a roaring fire going, pandora is filling the room with Star Wars music... packing the last of the Christmas things from my dining table that I didn't get done this week (our friends who were supposed to come over for dinner last night had to bail due to flu in their house - both DW and said "Gladly!") - and checking a few things on the computer. Looks like a quiet day around our house today. Not too shabby. We have way too many weekends throughout the year that are jam-packed active. This is a nice morning. :)

DW and I were talking last night about when our next WDW trip will be. That was fun, as with so many other things going on in the past few months, we have not really talked about it. We had cancelled several trips, but now it's finally time to start planning again. :cool1:

She even mentioned spring break - yikes, I need to hop all over that and see what I can pull off. Not sure though - need to see what the teenagers think too. Have to include them in the planning now - it's not like the old days of "here's what we're doing and when..."

Happy Saturday! I'm ticked that I have to go to a wedding at 4:30. Got to admit, I was happy to see the Niners step up this year. Always respect a team that can win withplayers who haven't been given much respect over the years. Its just a shame that I won't be able to see Drew take them down.

A buddy of mine from work (yes from here in TO), flew down to San Francisco yesterday and is going to the game, and then the Grand Canyon, etc...

OOOOhhhh, the Grand Canyon. I haven't been there in many years. Flown over it many times in the past decade. I need to get back there. What a great experience that is.

Of course I have ridden past the "edge" of it many, many times, including how it may have "looked in pre-historic days when dinos roamed the earth" thanks to the grand circle tour on the Disneyland Railroad. I love that Grand Canyon Diorama. Simple pleasures, from a simpler time. I can still hear those dino roars in my mind.

I like the dinos at the Universe of Energy too - which of course were a recreation of scenes, from the Grand Canyon diorama, plus new and expanded scenes. Gotta love those imagineers who see a good thing and repeat it, here, there, and there, and there, and there... :rotfl:
