Have seen the current WDW commercial airing on ABC about 300 times over the past week. Not sure if the commercial is making me like the One Republic song more, or if the song is making me enjoy the commercial, but either way, well played Disney Marketing team. Well played.

Not that they needed to sell me, but still. Well played.

Some Ibuprofen tonight may make getting out of bed easier in the am haha

I put in a new dishwasher last night and woke up last night with my arms so sore from carrying the old and new one. Thank god for aleve/advil!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I had to do that last year. And the year before that it was simply replacing the kitchen faucet. Both times - fun - was not quite the descriptor I used. But yeah, know what you mean - glad you're feeling better now. :rotfl:

Based on my general skills in this regard, I'm surprised I got it done...

Not as surprised as DW(:mad::mad:) but surprised none the less.

She ran something through it tonight and said "Whaddya' know..it still works"

I was like...

I can't stand doing anything that has to do with plumbing, I can do it but I always seem to get a small leak somewhere:eek:

I worked on pools for the majority of my formative years, so plumbing doesn't bother me. It's when you start including electrical stuff that i back away slowly... ;)

Oh don't I know it.....I turned off the power to the whole front part of the house...just in case:lmao::lmao::lmao:

My grandfather was a plumber. Taught me a lot when I was little. I put in outdoor sprinklers in our yard in CA.

I can handle most electrical stuff as well.

For me, I back away from automobiles. I can change oil, tires, filters, wipers, fluids, stereo equipment and I even put in a/c once in a pick-up truck I had that was purchased without it... but not a lot else.

'Evening all...

Finally getting time to check back in.

Hook it up yourself? We put a new one in a month ago and I debated running all the lines myself, but left it to the plumber when he came for the rest of the kitchen... Wondering how tough it actually was...

I’ve done it. It’s not that hard, but you do spend a lot of time laying on the floor in very awkward positions trying to reach all the connections. Replacement fittings and piping have gotten easer to work with over time as well. To date I replaced every faucet and p-trap in my house, the entire sink unit in the laundry room the refill valves in all of the toilets and even pulled on of those to replace the wax seal and reset it more level on the floor after someone else remodeled our first floor. If I can do it… y’all can.

This can be read a couple of different ways.

Now I can hang and weld sheet metal, frame work, floors, paint and tear down and rebuild a engine (well the older ones anyway:lmao:)

The new stuff I tend to stay away from, It's made to break:scared1:

My wife doesn't get my fear of electrical issues..."because you blow stuff up all the time at work...":lmao::lmao::lmao:

She even brought out my "Bomb Squad. If you see us running try to keep up" Shirt.

She's gettting too big for her britches 'round here.:lmao::lmao:

Growing up our neighbors always had cars in the garage they were working on - or motorcycles, trailers, RVs... I would go over and hang out and watch - I just never really learned how to do it myself.

I can do carpentry, hang sheet rock, paint, do plumbing, electrical, lay all kinds of flooring & tile work - pretty much all kinds of stuff for the house or yard - but not automotive stuff. Oh well... that's what people are paid for around here.

I have what I call "The Idiot Rule". The Idiot Rule pretty much says that I don't let idiots work on my stuff..."idiots' mainly defined as me.

I have found it to be easier, and in the end cheaper, to pay someone to fix my problem. As opposed to paying someone to fix the original problem and then paying them to fix all the other stuff I screwed up trying to fix it myself.

I absolute REFUSE to touch my boat motor--that's what master mechanics are for.

That may just belong on page one. :lmao: :lmao:
