Good morning all....

Weather's going to be nasty today here, it's ffinally winter up here I guess . After work we're driving out to Sarnia, and it looks like we'll have a window of decent weather to drive in (let's hope). Going to be a nice lazy weekend there sitting around, with a bit of shopping in Port Huron (staying off the lawns of course). Will try to catch up to the thread, from the in-laws computer, don't know how long this thread will last Amelia is really excited today, she has skating at school today, her first ever attempt at it.

That's going through a lot of dirt to get a little bit of gold. I think they've lost a lot of it due to their poor sluice box and lack of good water. I give them "A" for effort though!

stopping in to say hello. work has been super busy so I've no idea what's going on in here... probably a lot of bacon, post count padding, and football.

Add beer to the list and you've pretty much got it all covered.

I've never been there in August, but I'm guessing that I would spend most of the day at the pool or a water park.

Until this fall, July and August are the only months I've ever been there. It isn't all that bad with good planning and use of AC.

Peyton may be heading to Miami. Probably the end of his career. Lets call it the continuation of the Marino curse.

If this thing ends between the Colts and Manning in the manner that it looks like it will, I might just have to follow him to his new team. I understand that the Colts need to make some changes, and I'm all for shaking things up and bringing in new blood. I've been pushing for this to happen for a while.

What I don't like, is how Jim Irsay is going about it. He's essentially saying one thing and then doing the complete opposite. Peyton says that everyone with the Colts is on edge. Irsay argues that they aren't... well how could your employees not be on edge, when publically you seem to be giving an endorsement to someone and 2 days later they're gone?

Seriously, Jim, stay off twitter. If you want to can everybody and start over, just say it and do it. Quit saying one thing and doing another.

I think Manning leaves, but I don't think he ends up in Miami. The new Miami HC wants the backup QB he's been working with in Green Bay, Flynn and Flynn's a free agent. While both Flynn and Manning will be expensive, neither is a particularly sure thing. Manning's health has to be a constant question at this point, and Flynn has only played a couple of real games. But if you're going to invest in an unknown quantity, it seems to make more sense to do it with the one who's going to give you the best chance to amortize the investment.

I am all about sharing, but when I have to share via the government who wastes 2 out of every three dollars you are forced to give them, I start to get bumed out. And that statement is true for whoever is in office.

A for effort because they do work hard but I can't help but think they should have called in a mining consultant before they ever got to Alaska. A little more investment up front might have saved them a lot in the long run.

I was there in mid-june and that was pretty hot. Actually that's probably as bad as it gets the heat index was at 106.
