Another Sunday ownage.

Big thanks to Brian who tried to help me the netbook working again, but no luck. I may try again tomorrow.

I suspect there really is no problem... it was just a ploy to get me off of the DISBoards and driving up the post count.

Either way... mission accomplished... :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh, and no problem... ;)

I wonder if any other dads out there have a netbook and can help. Norm needs to restore to factory default and F8 or F9 at boot up aren't working. According to what we found on the internet, it should be F9.... Asus eee netbook.

Thanks again for the help. I kept trying and searched thru comments and another video and tried those options. Still no luck. I have thought about calling our digital doc place and see what they would charge. I want to fix it myself though.

Morning, all! 4 and a wake-up for Myrtle Beach! :cool1:

Jealous. Have a great trip.

Morning Dads,

13 days until Hawaii. Just thought I would mention it.

Jealous. Have a great trip.

2 and a wake up and it's off to Santa Barbara!

Jealous. Have a great trip.

Guys, as I mentioned last week, my sons and I went down to Baltimore on Friday night to see the Phillies-Orioles game and meet up with Randall (Cinderella's Fella). Since we all know the Pictures Or It Didn't Happen rule, I hereby submit my documentation:

Good picture. Randall is your new good luck charm.

Good morning gentlemen. Monday again. Not sure how that keeps happening but I wish it would stop.

Well, I do hope Mondays do keep happening as I prefer that to the alternative.

We went to see Madagascar 3 since it was raining Saturday (Penguins remain my favorite)....I thought it was a riot!

A great series. I'll wait for red box, but those are funny movies.

This was before our nosebleeds started due to the altitude. Anyway, Randall is an awesome guy and a lot of fun to hang out with. I barely remember much of the game...we spent most of the time just having a nice conversation. Really fun evening. Thanks for taking the time, Randall! :thumbsup2

My Phillies won the battle--or rather, the game that evening--but lost the war as the O's took the next two. Obviously, I'm good luck for my team and need to attend more games.

Also, we showed up early for batting practice and hung out along the right-field railing in the corner near the big scoreboard. It worked out perfectly: a player tossed a ball into the stands, and my son David became the proud owner of a slightly scuffed Official Major League Baseball. Considering I've attended games for decades and never gotten one of these, I was especially happy for him.

There is no truth to the rumor that my other son, Scotty, had several beers before that picture was taken.

Thanks Mark, it was great. I wonder if any of the Dads in the area would like to do this?

One of those Mondays. I received a four page email with 1 assignment. Yet, after reading it, I still am not sure what the assignment is. I emailed and asked if I could call and ask some questions to clarify. 4 hours later - no response to email.

Afro afro Polka Circus...LOL:lmao::lmao:

Co-sign. Especially the one joke near the beginning that they snuck by the censors.

I would definitely trek up to Baltimore for a game as long as I wasn't required to, you know, parent the children that day or something silly like that.

Very cool. Looks like you guys had a good time. And got a great memento. Went to Camden for a game years ago. Beautiful park.

I expect lots of pics, CJ!

If I ever get the damn replacement camera for the one that is still floating somewhere in the Atlantic. Still waiting for it to be delivered.

I was having a Peanut Butter of morning. Around 2 years ago, there were 5 people in my group sharing the workload. Over time, 2 of them left and were never replaced so it was 3 of us sharing the load of 5. This week one is on vacation leaving 2 of us.

So I decided to fight fire with fire. (No, I didn't burn the building down - but the thought did cross my mind.) Actually, fight Peanut Butter with Peanut Butter. As I microwaved a leftover hamburger from last night's dinner, I decided to forgo the ketchup and mustard and top it with Peanut Butter. (no, real peanut butter - not that stuff that we mean when we say "peanut butter" to keep ourselves from getting kicked off the DIS).

And all of a sudden, I'm feeling better. At least until I decided to get back to work. Thanks for reading my vent.

Mark - looks like a great time at the ballpark!

Randall - if you think Scotty was bad, you should have seen it last summer when he and Evan got together. We might still be on a few "lifetime ban" lists a certain Chicago establishments. :rolleyes1

CJ - hope you get that camera soon. If you don't, you can't fulfill your "pictures or it didn't happen" mandate. And then you'd be forced to pay to bring me along to be a credible witness. On second thought, I've got to go cut a few fuel lines on South Florida UPS trucks.

Like you never do that to them... :rolleyes1

Who did they actually ban though? Was it Evan and Scotty or Mark and Barry? :confused3

Now that is funny. True comedy is based on fact. Imagine the wives and even the kids shaking their heads and averting their eyes.

Well, it was a good weekend. DW's studio had their dance recital and it went off without a hitch. DD6 did very well in her 3 dances and since I was in charge of keeping DD1 occupied I did not have to be an usher. This year seemed extra taxing on DW so it is a relief to have the 2 month summer break. I'm not going to lie, I relish this time of year both for the weather and the fact that we can do normal family type activities on weeknights rather than trying to cram everything in to the weekends.

Took the weekend off of my diet and enjoyed a few of my favorite things (beer, wings, beer, pizza, beer, ice cream). It was a nice little reward that also didn't make me feel my best. Back on the diet today to see if I can lose another 10-15 lbs before vacation in 3 1/2 weeks. I'm a third of the way to my overall goal but I think I'm going to have to step up on the exercise the rest of the way.

Swimming in the same peanut butter here. Both bosses above me are on vacation this week, and I have a major decision that needs to involve them. So apparently even when a state worker wants to do something, he can't. :confused3

I still think Evan had his elbow up the whole time. Can't believe he didn't get called for it.

I think it was the other way around at Lou Malnati's. We banned them.

If you lived at Golden Oak, Monday's never happen. It is the same law that it never rains or too cold or too hot on the golf course.

Just do what you think is best, and tell then I authorized it. Problem solved. :lmao:

It was too hot on the golf course yesterday.

Then again, I suck, so any discomfort is multiplied when you can hit any fairway but the one you're aiming for. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
