Welcome to the club. It only goes downhill from here.
Be careful what you wish for. My daughter's nickname is Crash for a reason.
The Pirate Princess is deep into studying for her International Baccalaureate (IB) exams. First one was today. Had three group study marathons this week going over math. She needs to get a certain cumulative score to get her IB certificate. Friday is an early release day but instead of getting out of school she has to take an exam. The non IB kids checked out long ago and she is very PO'ed at them.
Cool youre the fella that would be giving my boy fits right now were he inroled at your school.
Actually thats not quite fair. He drove his math class into the ditch last year, but this year hes really been on the ball. Its quite the change actually and a good one to see.
Getting his license has actually been rather good for our boy. He doesnt abuse the privilege and hes able to stay very busy with extracurricular offerings at school while not obliterating our work schedules. Teenagers can be hard to deal with, but they sure do make you proud when they get things right now dont they?
We realize that his driving could have a bad side too, we think he's a pretty responsible kid and we'll be ok, but we'll find out when he gets behind the wheel. He knows that he can quickly lose his driving privileges.
I'm glad to hear your son has changed things around this year, it's always pleasing to have a student start to apply themselves and do their work and the grades usually follow.
The daughter of our old babysitter was in an IB program and it served her well, she entered college basically as a junior because of the credits she had accumulated.
