The first one is always the good one. It suckers you into having more.

If it had been the reverse order, who knows? We love our dds, but those first 3 months were rough with the youngest. Also, our oldest dd would go to anyone to be held. Youngest dd only wanted her mom and would tolerate me holding her, but no one else. All those tricks with the oldest - shushing, rocking, breathing on top of head - didn't work with her. It was tough.

::yes::

If DD has been first she would have been the last. If they still talk about that period of PURPLE crying that was her. From the time she was brought home until almost 7 months. :faint: Looking back I think she was a kid that needed a pacifier but we never used one for DS and didn't see the need for one.:confused3

I would have liked a mulligan with her.

gooooood afternoon!!! did i miss anything on the start of the new thread? if i did, let me know.

i enjoyed the brian family vacation pictures last night, the couple of min. i was on. are you sure brian that wasnt you in the second row??? guy looked canadian to me. :rotfl:

i will be doing my "on the fly trip report" , "over there" this time. its alot faster for me. also it will keep my post count up higher than docs! :lmao:

i also will be doing a," wheres the bathroom" thread.(over there) last trip i would text don and picture of a bathroom ( the door or sign of the OUTSIDE of the restroom to see if don could figure out where it was? i have to say, he knows his restrooms at wdw!! by popular demand and with permission, im just going to post it to a thread and you guys can figure it out!!! the winner who tells me where the restroom is first the most times, will recieve a gift in the mail!! Always up to a good ol' fashioned game of "Guess the crapper"! :lmao:
Shirt size... :rotfl2: Must be getting a coffee mug!

I am glad you enjoyed the slide show.

I wonder what that prize is going to be. :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thank you guys for all the prayers and messages today. It meant a lot!! Ethan got a kick out of everyone asking about him and praying for him. He was a trooper!!! Watching them take that little blonde headed boy back was hard on me. He was scared to death. He was more scared of having to get an IV more than anything else!! Thankfuly they waited until he was asleep to put one in. The procedure took about 30 minutes just as I thought it would. When he came back from recovery he was eating a red popsicle just as he ordered before he went to sleep :rotfl2:. the child can be bought with popsicles :rotfl2: He was starving to when he got back so as soon as we were discharged we headed to his favorite place to eat "Fat Pattys" He loves their cheese fries..just ask Mark!:lmao: He is still glassy eyed so we decided to keep him home from the baseball game tonight and let him sleep of his drunk:hippie:! His hearing is already better. He says he can already tell a big difference!! Thanks again guys!!!

Has anyone heard from Andy????

Whew! Glad things went well! Popsicles... who knew? :confused3 :lmao:

Greetings all from South Florida!

I'm happy to see that I made it in safely to this new thread by page 10 :lmao: I didn't even think I'd be posting one last time on the last one last night, so I was surprised with that.

Nice to see another new home up and running.

It's been a busy, busy, busy 3 days here, with 3 more to go before I head up to Orlando. But it's all good. Having a good time - despite the brain overload taking place. But for those of you who are also doing this travel selling on the side, you understand the ACC process for CLIA. This week puts me within grasp of my ACC certification - the only thing holding me back will be the # of cabin sales and my long cruise, but that's okay. I'm working on the sales aspect, and the long cruise is scheduled for this fall. Plus I'm getting lots of other cool stuff to work on while here, and have lots of great information to take home and implement. So it has been a very worthwhile trip. And thanks to being home/internet based, I'm still able to take care of business while on the road - as I have 3 different things to price out tonight for booking. SO, with that - I'll say - TTFN, and get back to work. Just wanted to pop in and christen this new thread with that "stopher" touch, and make sure I'm at least represented in the new thread. ;)

Take care guys.

Hi Christopher! Thanks again for taking time out to check into the booking for me. Don't be a stranger!

Here she is,24 1/2 hours after arrival at the hospital...

Mom and baby are both doing great.

:cool1::cool1: That is one beautiful baby! Congrats!!!! I do have a question though... do you have just one leg in your pants?? :confused3:lmao:

Contgrats Andy! My wife and I also just added another DD to our family; Ellie, 2 weeks old now. This is #5 and final.

And another congrats! :cool1:

My baby is 'old' now.... he will be 9 months this week.

Wow... time is flying by! He's getting big! Is that teething drool? Or just happy to see you? :lmao:

Been a busy morning.

Turns out DW's father had a minor stroke last night (they always seem to say minor but who really knows huh?).

They want to keep him in the hospital for about a week to keep monitoring him. We haven't seen him yet, but apparently he has limited movement in his arm, and speech is a bit slurred. Although he says he feels fine now.

How is he doing? Prayers sent!

Back from soccer. Another win today puts us at 7-1-1 on the season. But, we did not play well today. Refereed the adult game. Both teams did not have any subs do to some event, so it wasn't much of a game.

Congrats on another win! We "won" our game on Saturday (developmental league), but we just got lucky. Will be working on some fundamentals tonight because I am tired of losing my voice on game day! :lmao:

::yes::

So... the golf tournament went well on Friday. 11 teams this year. Ended with 9 stroke difference between first and last place team, so it was pretty close. Lowest score to take first was a 60 on a par 70 course. My team ended in a three-way tie for second at 61... so they compared the scores on the most difficult hole and as luck would have it... we ended in second place! :cool1: Awarded a $30 GC to Golf Galaxy. :thumbsup2. Overall it was a GREAT day for golf and I wasn't working! :woohoo: DW now informs me it's time to wake up and put the clubs away :lmao: Dream over!

The first one is always the good one. It suckers you into having more.

I learned my lesson with the second one, though. :scared1:

I see all the pictures on here and elsewhere of the new DisDads' babies and get the feeling that I... never want to change a diaper at 3am again. But, congratulations, guys. Well done.

Morning Dads!

What will the week bring? Never really know. One of our friends lost her step-dad this weekend. Their gospel band had just finished playing and he was complaining of feeling a little sick and some chest pain. Went to go to the bathroom and never made it. 42.

Too young. Prayers for the family.

Once upon a Time

Who watches it?

If you do watch it, who do you think Emma Swan is?

Obviously we know she is Henry's birthmom, and Snow White's daughter. But does anyone think she is also a character in the Fantasy World? If so...Who?

:lmao:

I'm an episode behind at the moment, but I didn't think that was in question.

Wow... a guy goes to The World for a week, and not only do you start a new thread, but it's up to page 22 before I can get to a keyboard. Sheesh ;)

Anyway, one of the things on my list that I DID manage to do was to taste that Beverly stuff I've been reading about here. I don't know what the big deal is, I liked it. :confused3 Different folks, I guess.

My condolences to the family of the step-dad. I'd say "That could have been me in July," but mine was minor enough that I had plenty of time to get to a hospital.

And to all the rest of you, Happy Monday.:surfweb:

PS... oh, yeah... gotta take that ticker out of my sig.

ETA... AAaaaand, I start page 23!

FIL and I headed to Club Cool on Monday while DW & DD were in line to see Characters. I filled up one cup with Beverly and thought, why not take up the challenge? I think that the most recent was Barry at six cups.

Then I drank that first cup and wondered why ANYONE would drink more than one on purpose!

It is so ugly outside, I blew off doing the multiple errands that needed to be done today and decided to hunker down. Have to go to Publix for sustenance though. Not sure what dinner will be.

If you're driving up the East Coast we have a guest bedroom that's always available.

Thanks. Think this might be a travel blog. Travel the country and see how many Dis Dads I can meet.

Yeah but I can say from experience that holding cholic-ie baby + holding cup of of coffee + laptop on lap = broken laptop + hot coffee on pants and unhappy baby.

Multitask, FAIL. Funny story, SUCCESS. The Pirate Princess was the perfect newborn. Slept through the night, always happy and a joy to have around. Little did I know that even then she was plotting her revenge when she became a teenager.

I'd love to see the January Wisconsin diving pics. :smokin:

Asked the TA that books out of state trips for Wisconsin dive sites. She sent me this.

Wait a sec... are you serious? We need to be out at 2:30am race day?

No, for you Tim they will start the race a noon. Feel free to sleep in.

Barry, just checked out the pre trip report and Tim updated his recent training. He is taking this seriously so you better get your butt out there. Considering the money I put down on you, my child's education is riding on your beating him.

Never tried the Beverly. Don't plan to try it.

That is too bad Norm. Planned on paying off my beverage bet with Beverly.

GOod for me. In doing my time sheet, I've had 37.5 days of paid leave this year. I am a proponent of taking time off with your loved ones. If I could have the nice weather, I'd be like CJ all the time.

I have a couch with your name on it.

Yes, Barry, don't make CJ give up all those vacations to help train you. He is way too busy.

That reminds me, I have to pack because I am leaving for WDW Friday.

Us too! It'll be like a DIS-Dad tour of the east coast. :thumbsup2

I like it. You may not if I stop by but I do. Not sure about Delaware though. I would have to cross over that damn bridge.

I imagine it would look something like this:

I'll talk to the staff about keeping the wind calm that day. :thumbsup2

I'm dreading the teens years just because of stories like this. DD has been just as you describe Pirate Princess... Maybe I need to start stocking up on Tums now....

Nice work! But did your team use any of your shots? :confused3

Actually... yes! :lmao::lmao: It was definitely a team effort that day.

:thumbsup2 She said she was going to try to find out if she could have off soon, I got a feeling this will be a short notice trip, that makes me nervous since you know how I have to have a certain time for our ADR's:scared1::lmao:

This past January we went down with no adr's. Every afternoon we'd figure out where we were going to be and then use the mobile dining reservation page to figure out which places near us had availability when we wanted it. It worked pretty well. We didn't get in everywhere we hoped, but we didn't have a bad meal that trip either.

Wait a sec... are you serious? We need to be out at 2:30am race day?
You might be able to sleep in a little longer. We try and be to the bus by 3:30am. Most people seem to get up between 2:30 and 3 am You have to remember it's about a mile from where they drop you off to the starting corrals and there can be issues with traffic if you are taking a bus to epcot that morning.

If you're driving up the East Coast we have a guest bedroom that's always available.

Given enough warning, y’all could add our guestroom to the DisDad East Coast Traveling Circuit. It’s not all that far from here up to where Ryan is, but you could still get into a number of different things around here as well.

Anyway, one of the things on my list that I DID manage to do was to taste that Beverly stuff I've been reading about here. I don't know what the big deal is, I liked it. :confused3 Different folks, I guess.

It’s heavily infused with anise so those that “just love” licorice might like it (meaning I could probable give a case of the stuff to my dad), but other wise it rather misses the mark when it comes to the concept of refreshment.

Revenge? I thought that the dark teenager stuff was just normal. :lmao:
We regularly remind our young’en that there is such a thing as a parents curse, and what ever grief he piles on us, his own kids will return back to him in the future…

Times 3.

Why Baby Boys Drool!

So (and I think I already know the answer to this)…

would this link be considered work-place safe, or should I just wait till I get home so that I can actually enjoy the reference?
