So onto a real discussion:

What is everyone's opinion on the BCS's version of the Final Four? From reports I've seen they are looking to rotate 2 of the "major" bowls and convert them into a semi-final match-up where the 2 winners would meet in the BCS championship.

Personally, I like it but am leary of the potential where the top 4 teams end up with 1 undefeated and 3 teams with 2 losses, then the undefeated team loses in the semi's. Be hard to say that a 2 loss team out-ranks a 1 loss team for the championship, assuming that the strength of schedules are relatively equivalent.

What are your thoughts?

The team with the best record heading into any playoff rather often won’t end up winning. For me, just about any change to the BCS is fine. I see the whole set up as a bit of a joke anyway. Either you have an actual play off, or it’s really no more then a beauty contest.

If the schedules are pretty equal, then sure. Instead of only 2 of the major bowls, I think it should be 4. 2 is a good starting point though.

Shoulder is better but still hurts. The bruise is still about 6" X 4".

It could happen. Look at this year. LSU wins their division and the conference but loses the national title to Alabama. I think a 4 team playoff is a good idea. How to implement it is going to be the issue.
