So it wasn't just me? Glad to hear that.

I just wasn't feeling the love yesterday, and the only reason I didn't leave work early was because I had a meeting at 2PM. I get to 2PM, and I sit on the phone for 10 minutes, with no one else on the line. I text my boss and ask Where everyone is. He responded with the meeting is going on and he briefed my slide already.

Seems my outlook is adding and removing my appts randomly. I got a scheduler popup yesterday that said I was 14 weeks overdue on one my meetings. Really? 14 weeks?

I would stick my laptop in the microwave if I thought it would fix anything. Might make me feel better though.

Matt

Let's help you out here... NUKE IT! NUKE IT! :cheer2:

Got an email last night that we were having an Organizational Announcement meeting this morning...

Ruh Roh... Those never seem to go well for at least one person. Good luck!

I know I need to watch my language. Today was starting out as mediocre and has since plunged headlong into dreadful. I had a 118 slide power point that I worked 2 weeks on, and I just got a call from the customer saying he was 1/3 of the way thru it and had 15 comments that must be fixed. Oh and its the day I had set aside to go to daughters school and get licence on my tow behind trailer.

Matt

Should be easy to fix their comments... ahem... the trash can. :lmao:Problem solved.

So, our AC in the house went out at the beginning of a run of 90+ degree days around here, and we just got it fixed yesterday, in time for the temps to drop into the low 80s. The bill was a bit over $500, but it also made me worry about how much life is left in the AC unit. At least we were able to put the bill on the Disney Visa to get the rewards points. Gotta find that bright side...

:headache: Seems to be the season for units to need attention. We've had to replace both our heat pumps in the last few years (Yes... BOTH) :sad2:
Yay for reward points! :cool1:

The pharma companies do a lot of research and development work and it gets pretty expensive. They will charge as much as they can to recover the costs, and make a profit. As you found out, though, there are roughly a gazillion prices for a given medication, depending on your situation, who is paying (you vs. insurance company), and where you live.

With you minimum dosage comment, I was also going to say that you get the doctor to write the scrip for, say, 10mg pills when you take 5mg and then split the pill. That can halve your cost for the cost of one copay, if you're going through insurance. This seems to be a thing that is done, because both my doctor and my pharmacy have suggested it.

And, of course, always blame your nemesis. For everything.
..

Always a good plan :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Morning guys!

Update on my Indy trip next week. My boss is sticking around for Monday night and our meeting on Tuesday.

I am planning on heading down Sunday afternoon (probably getting to Indy around 8:30 local time) and I would expect our meetings / lunch to end early afternoon Tuesday.

Let me know if any of you would be available and I'll PM you my cell # for coordination.

Ouch- on both counts. My oldest had an orthopedic expander so that was $2K. But, it is paid for. He had several of here baby teeth pulled to open up her mouth. I thought she had a big enough mouth like her mother already. So, we still checks her, but it won't until all the adult teeth come in that a decision will be made on braces.

We're headed down this same road. DD's trip to the dentist last week gave us that bit of bad news. Time to get reacquainted with our benefits plan.

2 nights, flying out on the 16th. I will most likely be back July 1st and leave the 3rd.

Matt

I'll miss you on that trip...I'll be in Charleston all week...finally taking a break:banana:

And this is the town I live in. Fed, I may need "How to Kill Zombies" training.

Miami has to be one of the strangest places on Earth. This story only scratches the surface. Pun not intended. (Well maybe) Come on down!

No problem, next time I'm down (which may be soon), let's get together and discuss...

We did this $2K out of pocket. I buy dental insurance for children thru work for $10 paycheck. But in my small town, i don't have network providers, but it covers basics - cleanings, fillings, xrays up to 80%. It is worth it. To go to the Ortho option, it is another $50 per paycheck and it only covers 50%. So, i just went with standard option. Fortunately, orthodontist did payment plan. He named fee and we broke it payments.

We went to another orthodontist who we go to church with that used a "new" technique that involved breaking her jaw. I said no way. We get snubbed now, but I don't care. I really like the one we went with.

Hey guys.

Looks like my Sept-Oct trip to WDW is changing a wee bit... We were at BLT from Sept 27 - Oct 3, but now we'll be at WL Sept 25- 27, and BLT through Oct 2. Basically traded our last night at BLT for 2 nights earlier in the vacation at WL (due to DW having some schedule issues). Never stayed at WL so I'm excited to check it out. :thumbsup2

I really liked WL, but DW did not. The boatride over the water bridge to MK is so cool. They have a really large beach and have movies closer to the DVC side. The pools don't have water slides and the community halls are not as good as the other resorts. The lodging theming is terrific! To bad you're not there a couple weeks later. Have a great trip.

Let me know Fed if you are down here. We are the weird capital of the US, maybe the world. Strange things happen almost every day here.

Stayed at WL a couple of times. Nice place. The boat ride to the MK is a relaxing way to start or end the day. Sure you will enjoy it.

My son just got an expander as well. They seem to have worked well for other people we know, and helped avoid braces altogether in some cases. Here's hoping.

We finally paid off our van just in time to pay for orthodontics! :headache:

As for the technique of "breaking the jaw" Norm mentioned...:scared1:

What did you think the positives and negatives were?

It's a really nice place. Like CJ (kind of) said, the pool is awesome. Part has a sandy bottom and sand bars for building sand castles (and SMASHING them when you're done). It also has a lazy river, a water volleyball area, and a nice big slide.

Beaches and Cream is right there, so if you're in the mood for a kitchen sink, you don't have to burn too many calories to get there. Plus the Boardwalk area is a short walk (or boat ride) across the lake. Walking distance to Epcot and DHS - although that one is about a mile, but on a nice walking path along the water.

We stayed in the DVC villas twice. Very nice rooms - I can't think of anything we had an issue with. We really liked it. :thumbsup2

Anyone stay at Beach Club before?

I did. I really liked the location right by Epcot (DW and I were there for Food and Wine Festival). I liked the theming and decor. I liked the Concierge Lounge.

Honestly, I was not crazy about the pool. The whole naturalistic, sand-covered bottom of the pool schtick didn't really work for me. I thought it was just messy because of the plant debris that was down there mixed in with the sand.

Then again, the other big pool in the Boardwalk area is the scary-###-clown pool at Boardwalk, so it's up to you as to what the lesser of two evils might be. :scared1:

I loved the Clown slide...the slide that went with it was awesome:)

Hopefully, Old Key West is just as good...
