Morning men. Here's hoping today will be better than yesterday, cuz yesterday sucked.

Matt

So it wasn't just me? Glad to hear that.

I just wasn't feeling the love yesterday, and the only reason I didn't leave work early was because I had a meeting at 2PM. I get to 2PM, and I sit on the phone for 10 minutes, with no one else on the line. I text my boss and ask Where everyone is. He responded with the meeting is going on and he briefed my slide already.

Seems my outlook is adding and removing my appts randomly. I got a scheduler popup yesterday that said I was 14 weeks overdue on one my meetings. Really? 14 weeks?

I would stick my laptop in the microwave if I thought it would fix anything. Might make me feel better though.

Hello gentlemen,
I am officially a mail carrier for the US Postal Service. During the OJT I actually delivered a tray of mail, about 50 or so of the 478 mailboxes, on the route I will be subbing for. As the route I am assigned to does not have a scheduled day off (regular carrier works six 7 hour days) and the carrier does not have any planned time off, I was told I will be trained soon on another route to be #2 sub. I told the supervisor that I am available to work and I was told that when I make it through probation (and possibly before if I show promise) after I have been trained on 3 or 4 routes at this Post Office, I could be lent to others who are often in chronic need of subs, but cannot hire anymore due to regulations.

Congrats :rotfl2:

Morning everyone! We are one day closer to the weekend :cool1:

glad you got the discount card!! DD was on Xopenex for a while, and then they stopped covering it. We had to switch, or pay full price. :scared1:

That point about the renewals has me reconsidering the purchase. Bottom line is that we won't decide until we get there. Going to purchase MYW tickets ahead of time, and if our budget allows, AND if it makes sense, bridge them to APs.

Allears has a couple of PDFs that break it down. One for dining, the other for non-dining. Compares DVC, AP, and TIW.

NON-DINING: http://allears.net/pl/disc_other.pdf

Welcome!! Congrats to your "Kid"!!

Congratulations on the job!! does this mean you'll be making little voodoo dolls of various postal workers to get them to take time off??

so... the expiration date is one year from purchase, but renewal date is one year from first use?? Or is what you are saying is that your very first AP was used on dec 1, and that's why it's your renewal date for all subsequent APs??

the experation and renewal date start from the first day you use your pass at a park. we used ours dec 1st. if i want the renewal price, i have to re up my ap on december 1st every year even though i didnt use it till may 11th. so my year starts ticking december 1st.
when you re up them through the mail like we do. (to far to just buy a ticket)lol they send you a voucher. you have to take the voucher to a guest services window in any park or dtd and they will issue you your live ticket. they ask me for my old pass, id (drivers lic.) and my vacation club id.
so, i paid for my ap 12/1/11 but didnt start using it till 05/11/12. the expiration on my pass says 12/01/12. it would be great if it said 05/11/13 but they go by you pay every twelve month not when you use it.

Good news folks...

I am awake!

Now to just make it through the day....

Got an email last night that we were having an Organizational Announcement meeting this morning...

 Dude.

I know I need to watch my language. Today was starting out as mediocre and has since plunged headlong into dreadful. I had a 118 slide power point that I worked 2 weeks on, and I just got a call from the customer saying he was 1/3 of the way thru it and had 15 comments that must be fixed. Oh and its the day I had set aside to go to daughters school and get licence on my tow behind trailer.

Old man talk....

I got a new scrip from my doctor for my cholesterol medicine because he was not happy with how the other one was working. Took it to get filled and they wanted $158 :scared1:

I told them to hold, I was thinking there had to be a cheaper option since I take a minimum dosage. I called the doctor and he gave some kind of discount card. The new price?? $14 :thumbsup2

Who is to blame for these absurd drug prices???

The pharma companies do a lot of research and development work and it gets pretty expensive. They will charge as much as they can to recover the costs, and make a profit. As you found out, though, there are roughly a gazillion prices for a given medication, depending on your situation, who is paying (you vs. insurance company), and where you live.

With you minimum dosage comment, I was also going to say that you get the doctor to write the scrip for, say, 10mg pills when you take 5mg and then split the pill. That can halve your cost for the cost of one copay, if you're going through insurance. This seems to be a thing that is done, because both my doctor and my pharmacy have suggested it.

And, of course, always blame your nemesis. For everything.

So, our AC in the house went out at the beginning of a run of 90+ degree days around here, and we just got it fixed yesterday, in time for the temps to drop into the low 80s. The bill was a bit over $500, but it also made me worry about how much life is left in the AC unit. At least we were able to put the bill on the Disney Visa to get the rewards points. Gotta find that bright side...

Stinkin customers. What do they know? Hope you can still make both.

Blame the drug companies.

Really? I just heard Warren Sapp say that the Steelers will not make the playoffs this year! Is he crazy?

He went bankrupt. I'm not taking a lot of analysis from him. Kinda like Matt Millen providing commentary - just can't buy it.

Just lovely...discover tonight someone helped themselves to my stash of Coca Cola at work, took it all. Place just gets better and better...:headache::sad2:
!

Office thieves. Can't stand em. Time to put ink dye bags near your Cola.

?

I'm only doing APs if I'm going to get renewals.

I would stick my laptop in the microwave if I thought it would fix anything. Might make me feel better though.

When I was a supervisor, I had an employee put the on call pager in the microwave to dry it out after she dropped it in the toilet. Brilliant.

the experation and renewal date start from the first day you use your pass at a park.

So, if I bought it in June but didn't use it until Oct 1, then my renewal date is Oct 1 for as long as I have the AP. With Disney Cruise in 2013, we will only bookend a couple DVC nights and have 1 other trip that year. Not sure it is worth it.

Good news folks...
....

We won the lotto? Send me my check.
