Everyone knows that next to cats which periodically get thrown overboard dolphins are the most conceited mammal in the sea. Its perfectly fine to yell at them. They're gonna mock you to their friends anyway so you might as well give them a reason.

If I recall, he's trying to suck up to Brian so when Brian wins the lottery and builds a house in Golden Oaks, he gets a free room there.

So he's just trying to make sure Brian remembers. ;)

Please correct me if I'm wrong Patrick.

You mean you missed the butt kissing that started about 2 days and 50 pages ago? :confused3 :lmao:

I thought he was going to buy DVC memberships for a select few dads if he won the lottery and TL is trying to make sure he's at the top of the list.

That PB started last week when we were trying to close the other thread :rotfl2:

GENTLEMEN! I am appalled that you would call my integrity into question in such a manner! Brian is a fine person, and I'm just letting others know in the best way I know how.

That being said, I am not above extolling the virtues of other DisDads in the same manner, were similar compensation to be on the line. :littleangel:

You're gonna wind up with a 2 page signature.

So on the Magical Express back to the airport yesterday, I found myself getting pretty excited about the idea of a Disney Cruise (great Job Disney Marketing!), and started thinking about doing a 4 day DVC stay at WDW, then maybe a 3/4 night cruise (Or reverse order of that)...

My question is, has anyone done a cruise with younger kids? DD would be 5 or 6 then, and DS would be around 2. I feel like that's too young for them to really enjoy it, but I'm not sure.... Any thoughts?

We took our first cruise when DD12 was 6 and two years later the family next to us (who we had met on the DIS) had a three year old and neither of us had problems. There is so much to do for them. I would suggest a 4 night cruise as the 3 night cruises go by so fast. With the extra day at sea, there is a little relaxation. DW & I now have 6 DCL cruise done, and the DD's have 5, with a cruise tentatively scheduled for June and "Dummy" cruise also. If you do go, make sure you take advantage of the discounts and extras by booking a cruise onboard, even if it is a dummy date. When you get home, you can transfer to your TA if you have one.

DD went on her first cruise when she was about 7. She had a blast in the Oceaneers Club and was upset when we picked her up. Allowed us lots of time to have fun on the boat without her. But if you couldn't tell when you met her, she is pretty outgoing. One of her "friends" she made wash't much of a fan of being away from her parents.

The 2 YO would be a different story. I think the youngest that can be left is 3 and they need to be potty trained. They do have a nursery for the youngest set but it is more limited hours. Certainly enough adult time to go to the spa or Palo's.

Skip Nassau and DO go to Castaway. There are tons of activities for all the family both on the boat and at CC. I would also do a 4 day and cut back on the park rather than a 3 day. You just get on and you have to get off.

That's a good point, forgot about the potty training part... Maybe Waiting till he is 3 is best, that would give me time to plan well with DVC points and all.

I was thinking that we would skip Nassau when we go next year. There are still activities while the boat is docked right?

Hmmm... sure my toddlers would enjoy watching Daddy drinking a half a bottle of scotch on our balcony and screaming at the dolphins off the side of the boat because they think they're better than me... :thumbsup2

I thought you would see it my way!

You really don't want to use DVC points to pay for a DCL cruise. The exchange rate is awful. You'd do better renting out the same number of points that DVC wants to charge you for the DCL cruise, paying cash for the cruise, and having money left over for excursions, etc.

THIS is why we pay him the big bucks! :thumbsup2

Would you guys recommend using them even if you have Dining plan for your trip?

I don't know if it would be a waste of money to have some snack type foods delivered or if the DDP would be enough to get us by for the week.

Nemesis - we have done DDP and found there is MORE ten enough food - especially with desserts every meal.

The only thing we would bring in (and we brought it on our own) was cereal and oatmeal. We would go to the food court and buy milk daily.

We never felt hungry once on the DDP.

Hey, guess who stopped by the ICU today?

He gave me crap for not wearing my Mickey watch today! Fortunately, I was wearing my Mickey T-shirt (but not my DisDads shirt) underneath my scrubs so I got a pass

Very very cool!!!!!!

:thumbsup2

He NEVER comes to my work.
