How did I do that?... or did I just do it...

OWNAGE is when you get the first post of a page. If you time it right, you can get it, but you just beat me in with a post! Really, I need to find a hobby...

I got some cool swag.

This book is about 200 pages and is filled with amazing artwork and stories. It'd make an awesome coffee table book, if your kids won't destroy it. (mine would and we don't have a coffee table so I'm out of luck.)
I make so few requests when it comes to gifts, but a good Disney book was one of them. Still I got shut out.
Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work…
Hello boys… have a good night's rest? I missed you.
:thumbsup2 Couldn't let your movie quote go unacknowledged.. (Blazing Saddles)
Yeah, the double booking kinda urk's me (not even sure if urk's is a word). :)

The only time we made an ADR and didn't use it was in 2009, we booked Chef Mickey's for breakfast, and Crystal Palace for dinner.
Well after a big breakfast, lunch and snacks during the day, we were not into Crystal Palace that night.

I went to the window of CP to cancel, but before I got there, I passed a family and overheard them saying "They're all booked up". I told the father to come with me. I went up to the window and told them, "I'd like to transfer my ADR to this family", and they did. :thumbsup2

That's awesome. I've done the same thing with FastPasses a few times.

On an unrelated note- I was somehow able to get Le Cellier for Jan 7 yesterday. I've been trying everyday for a few months! It's a Festivus Miracle!

Tim I did not quote anything but I dont think you can go wrong with either ot the PO resorts.Though I never have stayed in French Quarters I have strayed in Riverside and loved it there. trying to find my pics,if I do I will post some for ya

Thanks Carl! I hope you find a few pics for me! :thumbsup2

um Polar Plunge is coming up.Are we having a Dis Dad meet up? Did you find out if that is your Klondike prep weekend?
If you can make it you can pick Tim up on your way down.

Ok, I abstained from the DISboards over my long weekend opting for family time at home instead.

That said, CRUD, I've missed over 15 pages.

If anything happened that I need to know, please fill me in. Otherwise hello to any new Dads, Prayers to those who need them, etc. etc.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Carl, what's the date again?

If I came I wouldn't have to plunge right? Can I just watch while drinking some Yuengling? :lmao::lmao:

Would love to hear what you think of the performance! I didn't think he'd pull off that win, but he's got the talent. Hope he stays humble.

He is a VERY humble person and very grateful for what he has been given. One thing he said that impressed was was about his faith in God and how he asked for God to helphim be able to provide for his family, and he said that God had a bigger plan for him.

I had no idea his wife was ble to sing also. Together they sang what Shari and I refer to as "our" song. It was Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable". then she was part of his back up singers as he did several Mo Town songs. His Sinatra type songs are his bread and butter though. He finshed the show with "My Way".

The only thing that I did not like was...as a new artist he has not developed a smooth trasition between song sets and I am sure that is something that will come in time. He has sold out everyplace he was performed so far. He has another sold out show here again tonight. After the show he did a meet and greet with everyone who wanted. Overall a VERY nice man who has tried to remain true to himself after having fame land right in his lap. I hope that he continues to be himself.

Last day of my 4-day mini-vacation, we are still in Sarnia and we are putting off the 3hour drive home as late as possible, hoping the kids will sleep part of the way . I'm sneaking onto the computers when I get a chance, a good way to catch up.

Tried catching up on the posts on the NOFQ/RS, and All I can say is we've always wanted to do the Riverside. We visited the resort when our in-laws stayed there in '08, and it was nice, if not expansive to walk.:lmao: I really think the kids would get a kick out of the Ol' Man Island, and the idea of cane-pole fishing there would really make my day. The only thing that has stopped us from this is money, it's been better for our budgets to stay at the POP, which we love as well. I'd do the FQ in a minute too, I love the look of the resort.

I see that the Royal Princess themed rooms are about ready to go at RS, I am sure the girls would love that too, ALTHOUGH...what is the state of the Haunted Mansion themed rooms they were talking about when they first released details on the Princess ones? I figure FQ would be the natural place to put these in.

Sounds great! I'm working a 24-hour shift on Friday and another on Sunday, so if the hospital is still slow (and I hope it is!), I'll probably be burning through another thread.

I get to do my 24 hour shift on Monday since the new years falls on Sunday our place is observing the "official holiday" on Monday. Man I hope it is slow!!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I'd be with Time on the sideline!

So cool! Sounds like a good night for date night :thumbsup2
Not sure if I'll be tuning into the next season. I've heard that not only are they adding Howard Stern, but are adding a fourth judge... changing the theme, theme music, and just looking for a younger audience by moving to the East coast. Guess we'll see how it affects the show.

SAVE-THE-DATE!
2012 Eastern Polar Plunge
January 28, 2012 at Neshaminy State Park
No plunging is required, they have a to chicken to plunge shirt for people raising $50 and not plunging.or you can just show up and support the crazy people that are plunging.
Its in a state park so alcoholic beverages are not permitted. So I say, Red solo cup,I fill you up,Proceed to party :thumbsup2

Any Dad within driving range of this event is invited to join up and plunge with me and the team or just come out and support a good cause(and of course have a meet up) I will have a tent set up and be doing some cooking(think porkroll and bacon).

I am VERY leary about the whole Howard Stern thing...he is so trashy I think and not fit for prime time when children are watching TV and especially for a family oriented type show!!! Who is the fourth judge going to be? I had not heard that or that it was going to move to the East Coast.

Brian.....I somehow missed your original post about switching your ADRs to a fmaily who was not able to get into CP , but saw it on a quoted response....that was an awesome idea tohave at that minute. You spread pixie dust and Disney magic right there for that family without even trying!!! That is the DisDad type thing to do :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (not a finger) :rotfl2:
