Merry Christmas Dads!!

We got started arund 7am here and now we are trying to scramble to make it to church :rotfl2:

the big gifts this year were a 3ds for both kids...(I am noticing a DisDads theme here)...Lauren got a new American Girl doll (It's a boy doll). We, er I mean Santa brought Ethan a Kindle Fire. I figured that I could justify it for him but that I would be able to use it while he is using his 3DS :cool1: I bought Shari a Pandora bracelet. I think the man in Red treated us all well this year!!!

Yesterday evening I survived the In-Laws...this afternoon we are going to have Christmas with my parents and my Sister and her family. Then we can finally sit down and relax and enjoy things and not feel like we have to run here and there.

Did you notice last night that It's a Wonderful Life and The Sound of Music were on at the same time??? I would be willing to be that It's a Wonderful Life kicked The sound of Music's butt in the ratings!:rotfl2:

MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!!!!!
we were up at 4am to open gifts than back to bed around 6:30.
tammy and i went to church last night at 5pm and tammy, her mom and dad, her dad sings, briana and the boy friend, brian, went at 11 pm. the two bs were going to just go so grammy wasnt alone but tammy decided to go also.
tammy got her present this morning, this may we are staying at boardwalk instead of por riverside. its funny, we have owned points there for 12 years and never stayed. this trip we are paying cash for the room.:sad2:
have a merry christmas everyone!!!!! :thumbsup2

Heading Home!!!! :banana::woohoo:

Next stop... CHRISTMAS!!

unless of course my usual Christmas Inadequacy Complex causes me to stop off at an open drug store thinking I can buy "just one more gift"... I always feel like I didn't get my wife or kids enough!! :rotfl2:

A wondrous Good Morning(ish) to All

Crimma00.jpg

I hope all are safe and sound and that the season is treating you well. We delved into our collect of treasures this morning as well. Here’s my haul for the year…

Crimma01.jpg

I family did good, with out going overboard.
A certain win.

One of my son’s favorite acquisitions was batch of “Short Cokes”
St Nick did good to surprise him with those
(there weren’t expected at all)
Crimma02.jpg

Here’s a look at Tamara’s surprises (and I didn’t get in trouble for buying her frying pans, They were asked for… trust me, I eat well… besides, she needed them to whamp me with form time to time).

Crimma04.jpg

The fourth member of the house was decidedly un impressed…

Crimma05.jpg

But every one enjoyed our traditional Christmas Morning Breakfast:
Iced Orange Sweet Rolls
(and a few bacon wrapped dates)…

sorry, we didn’t save any

Crimma03.jpg

Oh… the coffee maker is new too (the old one broke down yesterday)
Now we’re just watching “Christmas Story” and waiting on the in-laws…
How did he jolly ol’ elf treat the rest of y’all?

And again…

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all. Long gone are the days when DD gets up at 5:00 to see what Santa brought. She strolled down here around 10:30. Had a nice morning. DD and I were happy with our loot. One thing she got for me is this:

Off to make stuffed mushrooms for pre-beast snacking. Hope everyone has a great day with family and friends.

Merry Christmas one and all. At a quiet point for likely the only point of the day, DW and Audrey are napping, Amelia is playing, I'm just sitting around, sorta reading.

Present-time was a hit, girls made out like bandits again, the LeapPads were a huge hit. DW loves her Keurig, I got an XBox360, and the Kinect/Disneyland Adventures we bought a couple of months ago. We put on our Disney Magic Fireplace DVD we got last year, which was neat, and had brunch watching the Disney World Parade. Christmas brunch was French Toast, bacon, Canadian bacon and sausage, juice chocolate milk and hot chocolate. Alittle down time now till we head to the chaos at my brother's house in Hamilton.

Christmas Eve was nice, my favorite day. I went into work a few hours early to pitch in and try to get the store in shape, and t was busy with last ninute shoppers. It was real fun hearing the new assistant manager called in sick, so once again, I played Assistant, and the boss afterwards pulled my aside with a restraunt gift card, movie vouchers, and a bottle of Chartreuse that I had mused on wanting (almost $40 here for a small bottle!) and thanked mw for all I've done over the last year. Eve was spent at my parents sitting, talking and feasting on assorted goodies.

Really going to enjoy my 4 days off I have comming, my little reward for working both the Christmas Eve and New Years Eve shifts. Off tomorrow morning to Sarnia for Christmas with the in-laws till Wednesday night.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. Merry Christmas! :santa:

Can't believe I am still awake. 8 hours until work again. I just had try out posting from my new Kindle Fire. So far it rocks! First book will be Treasure Island, a childhood favorite of mine.

We got a Kindle Fire here too and love it!!!

Just finished my Boxing Day shoipping... :cool1:

That's right - Not even X-mas, and done my Best Buy boxing day shopping.

The boxing day sale became available on line at 8:00 EST.

Bought a couple of accessories for the computer, and cases for the DS's, etc...

Also the REEBOK outlet near my house, started their Boxing day sale today. Entire Store 40% off. We all got shoes today.

Brian, thanks for the heads up on this. DW and I both have laptops that are... shall we say, held together with banding wire. Well, we received a little gift money today and I checked out Best Buy's site to see if we could find something feasible to replace 1 of ours. Well, for about $600 we were able to buy 2! I was looking to replace 1 for $700. Merry Christmas to me.

Love the Leg Lamp Ornament. Awesome daughter you got there CJ.

So for best quote of the day I think our DD(4) Megan takes the prize. As she was opening her stocking gifts she found a Little Green Men alien from Toy Story. She holds up the doll and looks up to the ceiling and says, "The Claaaw!"

DW and I were dying laughing.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I have officially survived the road trip from Peanut Butter.

For those of you who haven't been following along on Facebook, here's what I've dealt with since we left the house on Thursday morning:

1) First stop was my office's family holiday party. The party itself was great. Forgetting my camera at the office was not. I didn't realize I'd left it until we were well on our way to Iowa.
2) 15 minutes into the drive to my in-laws, we blew a rear tire. Two new tires and two hours later, we were on our way again.
3) Broke the tooth repair I had done at the dentist just a few months ago on a piece of licorice during the drive
4) Mikaela sat down on the bench in the foyer of Ruby Tuesday (where we'd stopped for dinner) and the wood-and-metal air conditioning grate fell straight down on her head. (Luckily, no blood drawn).
5) Friday night Jon was having a hard time sleeping, so I pulled him into bed with me. After tossing and turning for another half-hour, he sat up and puked all over me.
6) Saturday night, after seeming to be fine all day, again Jon sat up in bed and puked (this time, he mostly missed me).

Everyone seems to be healthy now. We did go ahead and drive home tonight, instead of waiting to head back in the morning. Luckily, no one puked in the car on the way home, and the drive itself was easy. So maybe we've turned a corner. We'll see - tomorrow night is the big family Chanukah party with my family. Hopefully, getting the kids (most of) a night's sleep in their own begs will help.

Aaron, glad to hear you made it home safely. I blame Ruby Tuesday. I have eaten there twice and got sick both times.

I hope you have a great celebration with your family tonight:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone!

Getting ready to head out and do some day after Christmas shopping.

I hope everyone enjoyed their respective holidays. For those of you traveling stay safe.

:scared1: hope it's all behind you. Enjoy your party tonight!!

leaving work to head home and hopefully... take a nice long nap.

i think my grand sleep total since waking up friday morning was 7 hours. It should have only been 6, but i overslept this morning and went into work an hour late. :rotfl2: Turns out you can only snooze my phone's alarm 3 times. :lmao:

you can't beat working 3 hours, and getting paid double time for a full day. We need more holidays so I can get more shifts like this!

a power nap before I drive back might be necessary. If there were a couch I could sleep on, I'd stay here for a few more hours.

Uummm, isn't Hanukkah supposed to be 8 days of GOOD surprises?

Good to hear everyone is feeling better now, and at least for years to come you'll be able to look back on this year and laugh.

Morning, gents!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Glad to hear that you're home safe, Aaron.

I'm at work today, but fortunately, it is a slow day in the hospital and I can get some writing done. I'm about 3 papers behind... :confused3

DW loved her Christmas present (a trip to WDW without the kids in March). The kids report that they got everything they wanted (which is always amusing to me, since I know that they didn't get some of the stuff on their list, but I think in the haze of Christmas, they forget) and we had a generally nice day with my father and his wife.

I also do an end of the year book for the DW with pictures from the year. Several of the DisDads (that's nice, Captain Oblivious, prattpak) made the book this year, hope to add more of you next year! :thumbsup2

Some potentially bad news to report, however, I just looked at my wall calendar and noticed that it ends in 6 days! :scared1: Hope that doesn't mean anything...

‘Morning all…
Hope everyone has had as good a weekend as possible.

Hummmm… I guess not….
