Maybe it's not slow, this thread is just pacing itself. We are all concerned about creating additional work for Don while he is working on that bathroom.

Good point. More of a marathon than a sprint... :thumbsup2

Good morning and Happy Tuesday :cool1:

Happy Tuesday, David!

On a Disney related note, has anyone else noticed that ADRs are getting easier to get? I made a couple of changes to our ADR in February with no problem at all. I wonder if the new system of forcing you to leave a credit card for every ADR is cutting down on the multiple bookings.

I was thinking the same thing from when we were there last month. I had read on one of the other threads where someone ranted about not being able to double book all of their times. They said they did that so they would be "covered" for a meal no matter what. :confused3

We are getting a little bit of snow finally :thumbsup2

It's predicted here, but not yet arrived. Rain now.

I didn't realize it was for all the restaurants, I just thought they added more of the popular ones that required a 24 hr cancellation or they charged card. Either way, I am glad to hear it. I really didn't like reading other threads about people making multiple ADRs only to cancel when they arrived and finalized their plans.

Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work…
Hello boys… have a good night's rest? I missed you.

Oh… and I suppose I missed talking to y’all as well…
But not as much.

Hope everyone had a fine holiday weekend and got to put in some quality family time. We’re getting some post-Christmas rain down this way. It’s very different from the white Christmas we encountered last year (the one and only time I’ve seen such in this part of the south)

I got some cool swag.

Yes, yes you did. Very cool... I’d like to have a copy of that myself
(the book that is, but the shirts are very cool as well).

I’ve seen some of the doo-lollies that a few of y’all received as presents… who else scored something interesting? Did anyone other then me get things that weren’t electronic, or was it all phones, laptops, games and e-readers? (I am such a dinosaur :lmao:)

Sorry for no pics....

But I received, from my awesome DW, Disney Trivial Pursuit game, Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World Book, and the complete Disney Parks DVD set!

We also received tickets to Disney on Ice for a couple weeks from now. My girls will love that! :thumbsup2

I think that it is for all restaurants. I changed to Tusker House and Crystal Palace and both required credit cards

Sounds like everyone had a great Christmas holiday... except for maybe Aaron! Don't recall puke ever being on someone's Christmas list! :lmao:
I am still trying to digest all the food that has been graciously set in front of me over the last few days. MIL made her classic German Pot Roast for Christmas dinner followed by a splendid apple pie (made with 6 different types of apples) for dessert. Seems that homemade bread was the thing to give as gifts this year... still plowing through banana nut and ginger bread!
Just a few days at work and then off again Friday and Monday. DD's birthday is this Saturday and have a pool party planned at the oceanfront. Yes... it's an indoor pool :thumbsup2 I think she is looking forward to the pool party more than her Christmas presents! :lmao::lmao:

I hope that everyone enjoyed/is still enjoying their holidays. Ours are pretty well at an end. Everyone had a great Christmas. The kids are really enjoying the Disneyland game for Kinect. I wish you had the option to ride the actual rides though. Also it looks like you can't go into great moments with mr lincoln. The museum there was one of my favorite parts in the park so it's a bummer to not be able to explore it.

I got some cool swag.

This book is about 200 pages and is filled with amazing artwork and stories. It'd make an awesome coffee table book, if your kids won't destroy it. (mine would and we don't have a coffee table so I'm out of luck.)

DW made me the shirt on the right to wear post race sunday. The shirt on the left is from a butcher shop in Tennessee. Its a bacon scented t-shirt. It smells awesome. Dogs are my friends when I wear it.

Nice haul nemesis!!! If you could wear the bacon scented shirt before the races it would make it much easier for a pre-race disdads meet... I could just follow my nose!

Very cool - I've never seen the book before. Will have to look for it.

I did notice this.

I don't a have trip within the ADR window, but I was helping a friend from work book their ADR's for March. He is booking for 11 people - I told him he is a little late, but should still try to get what he can (with some suggestions by me). To my surprise, he was able to get CRT and O'HANA. I also saw there were some Le Cellier still available.
We checked mid December (about 100 days out).

This is a very nice trend! Although I enjoy making ADRs the craziness is not fun.

Two pages in a row OWNAGE!

Nice haul. :thumbsup2

I especially like the trivia game (I may need to look for one to add to our collection).

My boy has a Disney themed version of “Clue”. He and his friends busted that out yesterday and were just roaring with laughter as they sat around the board trying to figure out who done it. It was really cool to see four teenagers interacting via actual language as opposed to sitting in opposite corners of the same room with their thumbs a-flying across the keyboards on their cell-phones. Seeing that may have been one of the better little things I got for Christmas.

Yeah, the double booking kinda urk's me (not even sure if urk's is a word). :)

The only time we made an ADR and didn't use it was in 2009, we booked Chef Mickey's for breakfast, and Crystal Palace for dinner.
Well after a big breakfast, lunch and snacks during the day, we were not into Crystal Palace that night.

I went to the window of CP to cancel, but before I got there, I passed a family and overheard them saying "They're all booked up". I told the father to come with me. I went up to the window and told them, "I'd like to transfer my ADR to this family", and they did. :thumbsup2

Oh, and to top it off... we end up havinga late snack at around 9:00 pm at Main Street Bakery. My kids still talk about it to this day - the day they had Chocolate Cake for dinner.

That was very DIS Dad of you to do that! :cool2:

Mmmmmm... chocolate cake for dinner  We had the cinnamon roll instead! :lmao:

I got my DD the Trivial Pursuit game.

I think we are going to play it tonight.

We are also going to Disney on Ice tomorrow. I will try to post some pics.
