On a different note, my back is almost 100%. But, it felt good enough to do some stuff today. So, all the Christmas decorations are done and the storage boxes put away. I don't feel any extra hurting, so hopefully, all is well. It's been 3 weeks since I last hurt my back. I've never had it take that long to recover. I must be getting old.

Good to hear :thumbsup2

Age is just a state of mind, my friend :thumbsup2

When we were at Kidani last week I had one of the cast members come to our rescue. It was a pretty big deal and I want to go beyond the thank you I gave him. Does anyone of a specific address, email, phone number, etc. that I could forward kudos to for this outstanding CM?

I would try:

Walt Disney World Guest Relations
P.O. Box 10000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Want to share the story with us? :cool2:

Well, not to spoil my trip report (cough, cough). We had borrowed a luggage carrier for the trip. I had installed it and had been driving with it on the van for two weeks to make sure everything was ok.

On the way down just outside of Atlanta, the rear latch broke and the lid started to open (even though it was locked). We used a locking strap to hold it down. It was fine to Valdosta. When we left the next day to head to WDW it opened all the way and the front latch broke. This time the carrier shifted some how and two of the nuts were stripped and I could not get them off there. We tightened the strap even further and made it ok to Kidani.

I tried getting the nuts loose but it was too no avail. I went to concierge and was going to ask for directions so I could go to Walmart and get a hack saw. The CM at the desk said they were sure to have a tool and would send someone to meet at my vehicle. Robin from Engineering was awesome. He came with a sawsall, a hack saw, and all kinds of tools. We finally were able to break the bolts and get it off. It took about an hour. He was very patient and even disposed of the piece of beverly for me.

I thanked him, but I want someone there to know of this so maybe he would get some recognition from somebody important.

Very cool... :thumbsup2

It's the little things like this that set Disney apart the rest - there service is to infinity and beyond.

Wow... the boards are VERY slow tonight. Anyway... sitting here watching old Tom & Jerry episodes on YouTube on the Google TV with my DD. It's definitely not Disney, but DD is getting a kick out of it. :happytv:

Hey guys.

It's been a little bit since I last visited/posted. It's been a very full, crazy kind of week - but in a very good way. I've been in Ft. Lauderdale all week, and still in Florida for another week. Tomorrow afternoon (around 3) I'll be leaving and heading north. Stopping in Vero Beach for the night, then on to OKW on Monday afternoon. :cool1: On a research trip. Will be at WDW til Friday morning, then over to Canaveral to board the Monarch of the Seas for 3 nights. Then up to Hilton Head Island before heading home again.

Step 1 of our multi-step plan has finally become fully effective. We decided to really go for it and go into business for ourselves, and step 1 was completed this week. I can't talk about it too much here on the DIS (since the DIS is owned by a TA), but that is the industry that is step 1. We have formally purchased a franchise operation, so as a result of that I can no longer be associated with FTJ. But this move is allowing for a large expansion over what was relatively limited in scope. Disney remains my specialty, but there is so much more that I have access to now through the home office. My website, which remains mostly Disney-centric, has been up for a while, and I've been sitting in the hotel each night updating, revising, etc to make all of the needed revisions. More to do, but I've been in training ALL day each day all week, so the time is limited each night. A second site went live recently too which is devoted to the expanded part of the business.

Step 2 continues to inch forward, and is a BIG part of this research trip.

Step 3 also continues to inch forward, with an in-depth meeting taking place next week while I'm in Orlando.

Step 4... we're still determining. But in the end, we are considering 3-4 different ventures under a single corporate umbrella.

For those of you who are friends with me on FB, you can see my post about it over there on either my personal page or my business page.

Anyway - I hope you all have a great Sunday! I'll be at WDW very, very soon - and am so very excited!!
:cool1: :yay: :dance3:

It sounds like you've got some amazing plans, and I, along with all the other guys here who have chimed in, wish you the best in your ventures.

I'll be at WDW starting Thursday afternoon. PM if you wanted to meet up for a drink or just to say hi.

Sounds exciting Stopher. Good luck.

Some fun games today. So. Miss. and Clemson were surprises. Congrats Fed. Of course the UNI win was a no brainer. LSU also looked good. Wisc./Mich. State was a great game. Have to feel for the kid from MSU that ran into the punter negating the return.

Can't believe the season is over already. Well, still have the bowl games. Have a good night everyone.

I went into a movie last night with the VT/Clemson score tied 10-10, and I came out to find the second half was played, seemingly, without the VT team on the field. They have disappointed me twice against Clemson this year.

Oh boy...

I'm supposed to give a presentation tomorrow with two of my coworkers regarding changing our training strategy for our clients who will be working overseas. Originally, the presentation was for our team leader and the director of our division.

I just found out that the CEO of the company will also be attending...:scared1:

This is going to be my first presentation at this company and now needs to be nothing less than perfect. I wasn't worried when it was just going to be my two bosses, but now that the CEO will be there, I'm a bit stressed....

Well the Dolphins won again today. Looked good too. No chance of making the playoffs but they might win a few more games. Then the "We are close" stuff will come out of the front office again. A near middle of the pack draft pick. The coaches will be fired but I bet the real problem, the GM will still be there. No wholesale changes on the team. Maybe next year they can go 8-8 or 9-7. Might even make the playoffs as a wild card only to get creamed in the first round. And so it goes on and on.

Can you say, Bitter, Party of one.

Glad to hear it things are improving. Nothing wrong with getting old. I've earned everyone of these gray hairs. I'll be over your way Thursday for a lunch meeting but no closer than Etown.

Good to hear :thumbsup2

Age is just a state of mind, my friend :thumbsup2

I think I remember hearing someone tell me that when I was younger but I forgot.

You will do great I'm sure! Good night of sleep and a good breakfast makes things go well.

We are safely back at home... although I wish I was still at Wilderness Lodge. :headache:

I posted intermittently while I was out, but didn't really read through and try to keep up with everybody. And as always, I probably won't try to catch up. I hope all is well with everyone. Ryan, have a great trip. Norm, glad the back's feeling better. Stopher, congrats on the new venture. I'm sure you'll make it a success. Dave, we didn't have anything to that extreme, but I was very pleased with all the CM's I encountered.*

*except for that Peter Pan look alike at Test Track:lmao:

Glad you had a great trip.

It sounds like Eric, CJ, Stopher, and I will all be in WDW at the same time later this week. What do you think guys? Any chance we can all gather together for a Disdads pic?

Dave, here is an email address. I'm PM you as well. If it's not a DVC resort, then I don't know.

Must be all you young guys needed or wanted to get to bed. :surfweb:

Glad some people are back, it was getting lonely in here. I was going to go for some BACON!

Despite being up 14 points, the Saints are just not going to run Thomas. Brian already whooped me in our league, so I had no chance. But, I am up against #1 team in another league and am winning by 8 points, but he has Matthews tomorrow night. Thankfully, I have Kasay and he is just busy kicking all those extra points.

Up 14 points, interception, little over 2 minutes in the 4th quarter, and no Pierre Thomas. Daniel Thomas for Miami had a better game. There was a conspiracy against my fantasy teams this week. Yeah, that's it.

Good night all.

Glad you posted this. I will be with DD and a friend of hers arriving Friday late afternoon. We are staying at French Quarter through Sunday. Friday night we will probably walk over to see Yeehaa Bob at Riverside.

Saturday we will be in the MK for the reunion events (I will at least). May go to the touring plans 7:30 meet where you get to play a researcher. Then the COP meet and the HM meet. Don't remember specific times but they are on the reunion site (two tired to look). Then at night is the Dis event at WWoHP. Best time for me will be sometime at the MK on Saturday.

Anyone interested in getting together, PM me and I can send my cell number.
