Durham, NC?

Anyone here live in Durham, NC, and can give me the low down on what it’s like there? I’m concerned about the property theft, there’s so many reports. I considered Raleigh too, but it seems just as bad.

I live just about 7 miles from Durham and go there often. There are alot of new areas, buildings and clean up on the east side of Durham. There are some areas as in any city that one should use caution in, but no matter where you go you will find some problem area. Just do your homework and ask a lot of questions of whatever agents you use and just be upfront about your lack of desire to in or near high crime areas. Durhan covers a lot of land there are many places where there will be no problems.

I think a lot of Raleigh and Durham is okay. I recommend have Nextdoor App for alerts and it has been giving me a lot of alerts near my storage unit and former apartment complex near Millbrook Road in Raleigh. You have a lot of growth in both cities, but buses are not the best and there are homeless camps that are like near a lot of Sheetz gas stations. I used to volunteer and help them at a location on New Bern Ave and not far from the museums and the Governor mansion. Some neighborhoods along Walnut Creek in southeast Raleigh and Crabtree get flooding.
