Hey Guys,

Shame about the guys that were booted. After a bit I hope they can get back on. Was just on the FB page and Aaron was chatting. No warning about content before he was banned.

Anyway, Thanksgiving was great. Ate too much and immediately fell asleep. Heading back to bed now because we have to get up in a few hours to head to the Keys. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good Morning all.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and that you all are recovering well from the festivities. I am back at work again this morning, bright and early. Pulling a double today!!

I logged in briefly from work yesterday and saw the thread was deleted. I am sorry to hear that at least one of our members was banned and even more disheartened to hear that anyone might have felt that this board made them feel unwelcome.

I personally feel like I found a second home here on the DDC. DW can attest to the fact that since I got involved with this group, I usually can be found on here whenever I normally would have been somewhere else, like Facebook. I have never felt unwelcome here. I know if any of you guys ever commented on something I posted that you felt it was inappropriate or insensitive, I would respect that. I hope anyone who feels that way would give us another chance. Just because I wasn't involved in the incident, doesn't make me feel any less guilty, and I know I'll certainly be more mindful of my posts from now on.

Morning all. Leaving for the Keys shortly. Temps in the mid 70's, 0% chance of rain. Problem is the wind. Very high and coming from the East. Means for garbage diving. Will still get a couple of dives in this weekend. The boat will be rocking but if I get any decent pics, I'll post them here. Have a great weekend everyone.

After some research that resulted in making me hungry for bacon, it looks like the problem was mostly limited to one beer-fueled night in the clubhouse. The kind where you take your buddy's keys away and let him sleep it off, maybe chuckling and ribbing him gently later but not writing him off or letting it damage a real friendship.

Seems everyone's sobered up now, so you should be seeing the whole gang in the clubhouse again.

(If you hear that I forgot to return anyone's keys to them, please PM their username to me and I'll fix it!)

Sitting here looking around at DW, DD15, my sis, and my mom, all of whom pulled an all nighter SHOPPING!

I've done a few things all night, but shopping? Just can't imagine any deal that good especially after having three big Thanksgiving Dinners in two days.

Wow, what an interesting 24-36 hours.

Glad to see that Aaron and anyone else have been re-admitted to the Dis.

I posted a follow up on Kathy's thread but thought I would continue here.

It sounds like some "boys getting out of hand" activities happened and I think we all feel that the end result of a scolding and reminder is an appropriate response.

Further, I would hope that considering some of the past discussions regarding differences of opinions (I recall religious discussions and positions on Santa Claus) were handled so amazingly without conflict that I would hope if any of our members have any issues with posts going forward that they feel reaching out to the offender directly would be the best course of action.

Finally I think a new MAN LAW is deemed appropriate here and pardon me if my wording is not quite right, but I hope that the sentiment is clear:

MAN LAW: No Dis Dad shall post any picture / post where if the subject of said post was one of their own children they would not share this with the general population.

Please feel free to comment and discuss and if the group feels that this doesn't warrant a MAN LAW, but more of a respect of the general forum, I can accept that as well.

Thanks for everyone's contributions to this group. I hope that we can move beyond this and that it doesn't leave a mark on our collective "Permanent Record".

Hey there Scott. I'm sitting at my desk today as well. (Gotta love mandatory banking coverage)

Although this has to be one of the best "catch up" days on the calendar so I'll take full advantage of no client calls and try to get some of my call reporting caught up.

Sorry to hear about the wind. I know you were looking forward to some diving with your buddy from the UK. If you get a chance, check out Snapper's on the ocean side of Key Largo (if this is any where close for you). Had dinner there with a client this past summer and they had great food and a nice casual atmosphere.

This may be my last post here. I complained in the previous thread about the inappropriate pictures and was made to feel very unwelcome. Is this a disney board? Are all welcome or not? Fortunately I don't have to be a Disdad to be a Disney Dad.

I don't think enough has been said about your contribution. I haven't been on here since Weds afternoon so I missed all of the craziness. But if you saw something that you thought was inappropriate, then I'd say you have an obligation to speak up. So I for one applaud you, sir. I'm glad all the guys have been reinstated and don't hold a grudge against anyone who may have shown shaky judgment. I hope you stick around. It'd be a shame to lose a dad over this.

Watching the Macy's Parade on tape. Nations Ford Marching Band looked great, Rob! Hope you guys had a great time in NYC!

Also, got buried in the Thread-that-shall-not-be-named, but for those of you with Husky boys, we found an excellent on-line retailer for husky pants (Husky Fashions). Full elastic pants that fit our DS like a dream! So glad to have him out of the sweats!

I'll second and add that the reason those conversations occurred without conflict was that both sides expressed themselves to each other. As in our deleted thread, when Dave asked that his picture be removed, it was. So, I would like to add to that Man Law, if possible, that if you find a person's post objectionable, then go directly to that person about the matter and allow a reasonable amount of time to correct it.
