My boss just gave me a rundown on what he found when he got home yesterday afternoon...

They smashed in the backdoor and took several things:
a concrete rabbit lawn decoration
a dresser drawer full of costume jewelry
42" LCD TV
64" Plasma TV
Jar full of change
Carhartt jackets
A few shotguns and rifles
Longaberger baskets
several other miscelaneous items

They emptied all the closets, kitchen drawers, etc. Apparently spent quite a bit of time there and did so in broad daylight sometime between 10 am and 1 pm.

Now all I can do is think of all the things I need to do to make my home more secure. I might be making a trip home during lunch today.

:headache::mad::headache::mad:

Nonsense. Just plain terrible. I hope justice is served very soon.

Wow! We've had reports of more home invasions in this area as well. Scary stuff.

Also, I can understand the TV's, but a concrete rabbit? :confused3

Wow. Hope they catch them soon. My question is why the lawn rabbit?

These morons tend to work an area until they get caught so it might be a good isea. We had a rash of thefts a few years ago, all of them involved people who leave their garage doors up even when they are not at home.

We started a neighborhood watch after that :thumbsup2

I think you already know the answer to this
question.

Indeed I have my suspicions

:lmao: :lmao:

Dang… I’d be upset about them taking that concrete rabbit.

All kidding aside, that really stinks. I’m sorry to hear that this happened to someone you know. Heck, I hate hearing about it when that kind of nonsense happens to anyone. From the list, it sounds like these folks were after two things… what they can sell easily underground, and what they could generally sell without too many questions at a flee market. It also sounds like folks that have been doing it for a while.

Very unfortunate…

At our Wedding for some reason we had 2 DJ's, I gave them strict orders they were not to play The Chicken Dance no matter what, even if it was a request:lmao:

Glad to say it was a Chicken Dance free Wedding:thumbsup2

You're not legally married in Wisconsin unless the Chicken Dance and Hokey Pokey are both played. True story.

Good morning,Good morning,Have a lovely morning

Yikes. Carl is singing again. :sad2:

This is horrible, and I, too, hope they find the culprits soon. (Where's Fed when you need him?)

Yet, as soon as I saw the rabbit listed, my first thought was: "Oh, no! Not the rabbit!!"

I couldn't believe the rabbit either... we kind of chuckled about that one a little bit. There was a bit of snow on the ground, so they have footprints of 2 people walking across the lawn, obviously with the single objective of picking up a heavy lawn decoration... no idea why.:confused3 :lmao:

The odd thing is, he has quite a large collection of alcohol. I've said before that we sell corn to Jack Daniels, so our company over the years has gotten some commemorative bottles of single barrel and the like. He had a few unopened bottles of that in addition to an unopened case of Crown Royal and some other miscellaneous liquor. He said they actually moved some of his Jack bottles looking for something, but didn't take any of it.

It really is kind of scary. His wife doesn't work and is somewhat afraid of being at home today after their bold attempt to break in yesterday. She just happened to be away for a few hours doing some things with one of the Grandkids. She was the one who came home and saw the broken glass and had her granddaughter with her.

I'll bet the rabbit was the actual target - the rest of the items were just taken as a decoy to throw the police off.

Seriously, though, this is some scary Peanut Butter. In broad daylight? I wonder if it was someone that knew she would be gone or watched her leave? As my old high school football coach used to say, I hope they catch these guys, nail their [redacted] to a stump and tip them over backwards.

Sounds like they need some of Chris's (DisDadDoc) Gnome defense! :thumbsup2

I ended up going with the iPad for a few reasons. First, I love my MacBook pro. I haven't had any issues with it. I will be buying another one this summer.

Second, I ended up buying a dell vostro for work(a side business that I have) because I needed a windows based computer for some software I need to run. (I know I could of ran bootcamp or parallels on a Mac but I was trying to be cheap) it leaves solo much to be desired. I am a Mac convert although I have an android cell phone. Go figure.

Third, I did some research before making my final decision on the iPad (this was her Christmas gift) and I read many negative reviews about the fire. I just need a tablet that works for her without having it get too technical for her.

Mac convert here also, but use windows for work.

You know what they say.... "Once you go mac, you don't go back!" :surfweb:

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Morning! It's a balmy 21 degrees here this am BRRRRRRRR. No snow or ice though so I can't complain.

Think BACON....

We have belonged to the cult of Mac for quite some time: iMac, iPad2, iPhone.

I was thinking of doing Apple TV but have been alerted that an ctual Apple TV is really in the works, so I think I will wait.

have you checked out www.cultofmac.com ? they have alot of really good tips/news.

our wedding was dance-less. DW wanted dancing, but since FIL wouldn't allow alcohol due to his strict beliefs, I in good conscience couldn't allow dancing which would have offended my dear grandmother and her strict beliefs. (Both of whom passed in 2011). When we do a party to celebrate our 20th in '14... there will be both dancing and alcohol. Timmy - perhaps we can get you to come out to Indy and do the honors for us :confused3
ROAD TRIP!!!!!

We have an app that lists all of the free apps and those that are price dropped or on sale. We currently have over 165 apps on our iPad and we have only ever paid for one.

The app is called Appshopper. We have educational, games, newspapers, productivity, and any other app you can think of.
Thanks! I'll check that out!!!

Just had the opening song from The Wedding Singer flash through my brain as I viewed these... :lmao::lmao: "You spin me right round baby, right round. Like a record baby, right round." :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Flo Rida? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I don't remember who was talking about security systems, but we pay $180 a year for monitoring through a smaller local company. The sad thing is we never set the alarm when we go out for the day... although there is usually someone here everyday.

My, my but y’all were chatty last night.
Did anything get said that I need to go back and find?
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I miss playing with those folks sometimes, but I’m not certain that I miss playing for receptions (the brides parents were rather often a bit hard to deal with).
You don't need a guitar to play in the mood anyway.

Most people are really nice.... mostly. :headache:
