Here's the first 2 weeks. Walking for the first 6 weeks or so will be by time only- not by mileage. Now, one thign my trainer emphasized was to take a nice slow leisurely pace. She says to always leave yourself wanting to walk more. That way, when you have to walk the next day, you will be looking forward to it. Let me warn you- THIS IS VERY HARD TO DO IN THE BEGINNING! But......... you should do it. It works. Walk slowly- don't race. Don't even try to measure how far you went right now- it may discourage/encourage you to do more/less. Right now is not the time to concentrate on this aspect of walking- ok???? You'll want to do both because you're all excited about doing something new and good for you, but PLEASE take my advice- you will be so glad you did in about 4 weeks.
Good luck everyone! I start my walking all over again tomorrow!
Any questions just let me know. I'll be more then willing to help if I know the answer!
Anyone here interested in doing the half at WDW in 2007???? It's always the 2nd weekend in January.
I could possibly be interested. I've never done anything like that, but I think it could be fun! Can you give me anymore information on it. I'd like to be armed with info before I talk to DH about it.
