DDA Chapter 9

So in one month I will be in California, actually in 30 days.   So much to do so little time. Such as losing 5-10 pounds to fit into my dress. It barely fit last year. I could probably force it closed but then I might rip it out. Then again it is a size 12.

I hope those of you who are sick feel better soon.

Tomorrow I have a meeting all day.

Elizabeth - Glad things went well for your Mom today, the port will definitely make things easier for her.

Bernadette - Glad DH's appointment went well, I need a refresher as to the date and time of Cape May, it won't be long now!

Anne Marie - Love the shirts, I've found a good use for all my old ones, since they all fit very loosely now they are perfect for the gym.

Glynis - Welcome home, how are you feeling these days?

Jennifer -(bear) It's been far too long since we've seen pictures of your two Princesses

Janet - Hope your back it better soon!

Theresa - Sorry about the AC, we put in a small window unit in one of the bedrooms for emergencies, I can't handle the heat and humidity without
AC. If you can find her thread Pat had some really great wedding and engagement designs.

Good evening...

Bernadette- Hope your DH's appt went well today. :wizard:

Elizabeth- Glad to hear your Mom's port went in with no issues. Continued :wizard:

Jennifer- Prayers for your friend's family. How sad. :wizard:

Anne Marie- Love the shirts!

Glynis- Your day sounds so perfectly wonderful!!

Tammi- Glad you all are enjoying the Wii. The HM games sounds like a lot of fun. I am making nice with my trainer and yoga has become a tad easier.

I am terrible at Yoga, but I'm the step aerobic queen!

So I have some weird spot on my leg. It almost looks like I got stung by a jellyfish. I have been no where that I could have been stung by a jellyfish. It has been there several days. Hopefully it goes away without issue. I looked up spider bite pictures and now I need to wash out my eyeballs. Let's just say I hope to never be bit by a brown recluse spider.

Oh my goodness, 4:30 comes way to soon

My back is still a little tender this morning, hopefully more ibuprofen will help. Riley has a scrimmage game this afternoon in a town about 20 minutes away. At least we do not have to drive to far.

Someone besides me is finally getting excited about our trip. Riley woke up to use the bathroom & said this time in 3 weeks we will still be sleeping at Disney :rotfl:

Becky hope your spot goes away soon!

Elizabeth - continued good thoughts for your Mom and you

Robyn - sounds like the girls are on the mend!

Thanks!

Robyn, I hope the meds help Emma and that Lucy continues to work her way back to feeling like herself! :wizard:

My SIL bought a new video camera to use at church. She got a Flip Video and she let Joe play with it tonight. Lizzy & Joe did a "tour" of my MIL yard. Lizzy did the narration while Joe did the camera work. I was really surprised how good the quality looked. It is nice and small and so easy to use.

I hope DH gets good news on Friday! :wizard:
Do you need a video camera? :rolleyes1

ExDadboss got bitten by some sort of spider on his shoulder - it was ugly! :scared: Don't let it go too long. If it starts getting bigger or red or hot or swollen you need to go to the Dr!!

Janet - I hope your back feels better! Mine still isn't right since I messed it up at Mom's house.

Last day of window replacement! Yay!! :yay: But it really hasn't been too bad. The guys go to lunch right about the time Princess has her nap, and since the house isn't getting hot like I thought it would things have been fine!

Good morning all!

Janet - I hope your back feels better soon.

Jennifer - I forgot to post yesterday that I hope your back is on the mend soon. I'm like you...I have to wear good shoes if I'm going to be up and cooking for awhile or my back will be dying by the end of the day.

Elizabeth - Glad the windows are almost done!

Becky - Keep an eye on that bite! If it isn't clearing soon, please get it checked out. Good luck with your trip preparations.

Robyn - How are the girls this morning?

Good luck to Riley with his scrimmage game. I hope your back feels better.

Robyn -- I hope Emma and Lucy are both feeling better today. That's hard with no swimming for three days.

Bernadette -- PD for the test results.

Tia -- has this been a better work week so far?

Elizabeth -- sending tons of PD to your Mom and you. I hope the windows are finished today without any problems.

I think most everyone got rain in DFW but us. It certainly seemed like we were going to get a real dousing, as there was lots of wind and lightening. In fact, they stopped practice at 7:30 because it looked like it was getting close. My yard could really use some rain, plus, the wildfires are starting up. There is still a 30% chance today, so I'm hoping some comes our way to help out the firefighters.

Have a good day everyone! :)

Robyn - I hope the girls are much better today!

Becky - hope your bite isn't anything too serious.

Janet - take it easy on your back today.

Elizabeth - yay for windows being done. How do they look?

Good morning. :)

It's going to be in the mid 90s here today, and they humidity is going to start kicking in. Blech.

Tammi -- how is Nicholas feeling? Have the treatments helped?

Tia -- has this been a better work week so far?

It's definitely been better than last week. Just a few issues here and there, plus Momboss is being a little wacky. The last several days she has barely spoken to me when I get there. Don't quite know why, but won't even give me details I might need to know like BigSis' grounding, Babygirl's schedule, that she changed the my dinner responsibilities without my specifically asking after the girls mention it. Last night she seemed to have snapped out of whatever the issue was so hopefully that will be better. :confused3

Morning everyone! Just letting you know I've been reading along - thanks for all the well wishes. They do mean alot to me.

Also my work email address has changed: The front portion is the same (first inital last name) but the ending is @aaaec.com

Have a great day! I'm at a different office today, so depending on how busy we are I might be able to stop in every once and a while. ;)

He is almost 100% better. He is rarely coughing. He slept all night without a coughing spell and hasn't coughed yet this morning. Yesterday he had a bad morning cough but after that passed he was good. Yesterday was also the first day we stopped the neb. He still has a few days of the others meds yet, so by the time they are gone he will be good as new. Speaking of meds, last night at bedtime for his last round he has to take 3 different liquids. I was getting one ready when he helped by loosening the cap for the amoxicillian. I did not know this and when I went to shake it.............all across the kitchen floor, cabinets, stove, dishwasher. What a lovely pink my kitchen was.

Thanks for asking!

Hope it goes away fast or your go to see a dr. Your trip is too soon to fool around with that!

Thanks!

I do not need a video camera-I have a really nice one that never gets used. I might consider it for Joe though. BUT....not for our trip. The camera is only about $100 and takes the same batteries as my camera. It has an underwater housing that is about $40. BUT...the camera only holds 60 minutes of video-which is actually quite a bit but I would think if I took it on vacation for 2 weeks I would want a notebook computer.

I'm thinking about looking a new sewing machines at lunch today. Mine is still quite stiff.

Nice to hear he's doing better.

Elizabeth - yay for windows being done. How do they look?

They look terrific! The house is an older (1950's) ranch style, and the windows were just single-pane. The new ones will be SO much more efficient, and they do look really nice.

Hmm. In my experience when the bosses behave that way it has NOTHING to do with the nanny. BUT it does make your job much more difficult. Open communication is so important. Hopefully this was a one time deal.:wizard:

Cassidy has been....or what they assume was one...when she was 3 or so. We were very, very lucky that the thing only got through the first layer of skin:scared1: It did give me some comedy relief. The pus sack kept getting bigger and bigger and the dr. had said not to touch it. (This was after EVERY dr. in the practice had seen her leg). Well we were waiting for the bus one day and I grazed the huge bandaid and it explodes. Cassidy yelled so that the people across the street could hear her "Mommy the doctor said NO TOUCH!!" Until her root canal a few years later that was the nastiest stuff to come out of her.
