I got my flights changed, we are now leaving on the 5th & returning on the 16th. Only bad thing is we get in late on the 5th, oh well!

Hello all! Sorry to be MIA, but know that I truly appreciate your prayer support! I had a pretty good appointment today, I'll put more details on our website later this afternoon when I get a chance if you're interested. No more appointments for me, since early labor continues to progress just fine. My OB says I'll either have babies later this week, or see her bright and early on Monday. This we already knew

Take care of yourselves, and we all 3 hope to "see" you soon! ;)

All this talk about flights...........I checked mine, and my return flight from Orlando is gone!

Amy - your kidlet-cicada pictures are wonderful!!

I agree! They are cute pics, and your kids are braver than me. I don't like bugs that crunch...

Poor kiddos! I think Augmentin did do the trick for Matty. When he does get a diaper rash, it is really hard to kick. He's hit or miss with yogurt, but I found a powdered solution called Domeboro that you can buy over the counter, but you have to ask the pharmacist for it. You dissolve it in the bath for a nice soak. Between that and plenty of "airing out," I could usually win the battle! :wizard:

Ah! I used domeboro on my toes when I had toe surgeries to try out the open toe. I never even thought to use it on diaper rash on the kids.

Polysporin also helps with diaper rash.

Thanks for the good wishes for Daniel. He has never been on such a winning team before so its exciting for him.

Amy,
Your bug pictures totally freaked me out!:scared1: There's nothing like the sound of crunching one of those little buggers in the backyard.

Congrats to Daniel and his team. Sending more PD to him. I'm not looking forward to the rest of the tournaments we have lined up...especially the late July ones.

PD to Theresa for the job, the sick kids and anyone down.

Elizabeth -- how is your Mom after her dental surgery? Was Princess excited to see you?

Jennifer I know you are not feeling the best right now, but I am so excited for you! Please take care

Is this with Air Tran, what did they switch you to?
Yes, and I'm on hold with them now. I was scheduled to fly out of Dulles at 1130AM, and leave MCO at 2:30, both non-stop flights. To fly in/out of Dulles now I have to have a layover. No other non-stops available, unless I leave MCO 3 hrs earlier. They are going to now let me fly out of BWI, leaving here at 9AM and then leaving MCO at 3:00. More Disney time for the same price! Unless they change the flights again. :faint:

And of course I never got notification that my flight was canceled. So thanks to whomever it was that started talking about flight issues. I think it was you, Janet.

Marci - Princess was mildly happy to see me. She was THRILLED to see DS! :rotfl2:
I haven't talked to Mom today. I figure she won't feel much different today than she did yesterday, so maybe I won't call her for a couple of days. If I call her I will just get more frustrated than I already am. Over the weekend she mentioned to DS that Diva Girl went to bed at 4 AM and got up at 3 PM. Yesterday I spoke to her at 1:30 PM and Diva Girl was still in bed. I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. I bet you anything Mom was NOT supposed to drive herself home after those extractions, but Diva Girl can't be disturbed for petty things like attending appointments with Mom. :furious:

Tammi - I hope your flights get worked out!

Janet - I like to come in late at night so we can hit the parks first thing the next morning. Of course we have come in 3 different times now when it was SO late there was nothing open in the hotel and we were starving. :(

Chanon - Those are some serious Crocs! :rotfl2:

Jennifer - Glad to see you popping in! Hopefully the girls will decide to come out and play before Monday! :wizard:

You guys were making me nervous so I checked our flights. They are the same.

I wish the darn AP rates would come out so I could finalize that middle piece of our trip. (I know Janet feels the same!) Just from the Disney website it looks like there isn't much availability, so I am wondering what the AP rates will look like.

We've decided to cancel our Sci Fi lunch and do Pizza Planet instead. We are also going to cancel our 50's dinner. The day we have it booked is PM EMH at AK, so after our midday break we will go to AK, not MGM. I guess we'll just do CS that night. Once I get the hotel stuff settled so I know for sure which days we are switching resorts I can get the rest of the plans nailed down. So glad I called for all those ADRs at 180 days out. :rolleyes1

Thanks Janet and Elizabeth! Alas, I'm off again for the time being. I did write a mini-novel on the site, but I'll repost it here since I copied it anyway. Don't feel obligated to read it, especially since it's the longest in quite a while... just keep wishing these babies out ;)

The facts at a glance:

Net weight gain ... 13lbs
BP ... 122/80
Fundal height ... 46.5cm ("46.5 weeks")
LFTs (liver labs) ... stable
Cervix Stuff ... 80% effaced, 1-2cm dilated (from 60% and 1cm in 4 days)
Fetal Position ... -1 station (changed from -3 in 4 days)
Fetal weight discordance ... 3%

Approximated fetal weight .... freaking huge. Seriously, today they measured just over 6 pounds each. Keep in mind that the later the ultrasound, the bigger the babies, and the lower the presenting baby, the more inaccurate these predictions are. Most people I know (maybe everyone I've ever talked to!) that have an ultrasound this late tend to find that the babies are a pound or more off at birth. Still, it appears these girls are oinkers, and they at least won't be tiny! Thank goodness we opted not to buy any preemie clothes!

And the rest:

We have no more appointments scheduled, since I'm having such rapid changes and the presenting baby (A) is so close to engaging. Dr. S basically just said we'll either have babies on our own soon, or she'll see me bright and early on Monday. Since nothing else is worrisome (no swelling, good vitals and labs, etc), unless something new comes up in the next few days, it's just time to have babies. Music to my ears!

As for my illness, she confirmed what Kyle and I assumed, that they'll just let it go unless I have significantly more trouble breathing. With respiratory stuff, we know perfectly well that antibiotics are not necessary unless the illness has continued 7-10 days (and is therefore likely "confirmed" as bacterial). At 10 or 11 days of full-blown illness, I will have reached my last possible c/s date and will have antibiotics on board for that. "Good timing", the OB says. I find that an odd sentiment.

The only other news was from the ultrasound. There was a bit of hydronephrosis (fluid in the kidneys) on Baby A's scan. This has come up with Baby B once before, so we aren't too alarmed. Basically, it appears in this brief snapshot of time that the kidneys might not be emptying into the bladder as efficiently or as quickly as they should. When this occurred on Baby B's scan at about 24 weeks, it resolved a few weeks later on its own. This late in the game, the number of totally benign reasons for it occurring in Baby A are quite high, so it's not anything we should lose sleep over. Most likely, there is "obstruction" simply by positioning and the poor girl not having enough room to pee even ;), or some hormonal trigger during labor that is changing how she regulates her environment. Either way, prenatal hydronephrosis (caught on ultrasound before birth) almost always resolves before birth, or shortly thereafter. Mostly, they'll just watch her pee when she's born, and then move on. This is very different from hydronephrosis caught later in a child's life (well, or at least after they have been born a while), which could signify a more serious blockage. Also, as it stands, they are hardly even concerned unless the amount of fluid reaches 6-8mm, and her measurement today was 3mm and 3.5mm, less even than Baby B's 4mm on the aforementioned scan.

Whew! That was a mouthful, when I anticipated a quick post. Oh, well. Hopefully the next post will be less science, and more cute baby photos, no?

You guys are the best, and I really appreciate your care and concern... and excitement! :grouphug:

I cannot wait to meet them! :goodvibes

Glad you got it taken care of! I had not received notice yet either, I just happened to check last night. I will keep checking now & hope it does not change again.

I am thinking we will get to the resort by 10:30pm. When you took the later flights did you pick up your luggage & take it on the ME bus with you?

Janet - I like to come in late at night so we can hit the parks first thing the next morning. Of course we have come in 3 different times now when it was SO late there was nothing open in the hotel and we were starving. :(

I am glad they were able to fix it to your agreement. :goodvibes
