time to mow the lawn! Enjoy the morning, everyone. :)

Thanks for the explanation...makes a little more sense

Opps, sorry I could have told you that like a week ago or two ago. But I did not realize that you had signed up for that. It was discussed on my repo thread. The tour operator pulled out. I doubt they will find somebody else before you cruise to replace them.

Sorry that you will not have the banana boat to ride.

The same thing happened with my parasailing and DCL had called to say it was cancelled. But they found another tour operator before we sailed. But we were not sure when we got on the ship if it was happening or not.

I hope you have an awesome trip.

We actually leave tomorrow morning....

coming to the end with the whole packing thing....horrible weather here today. Makes for a bit of a challenge....

I feel like Elizabeth, I am making a check list now:rotfl:

Kristine love the new signature picture!

Good morning, DDA! Well, the banana bread is in the oven (Thanks for your yummy recipe, Vicki! I use it all the time now.) and the bags are mostly packed. Since Phil is awake, I've got to run up and fiinish up that part. I forgot that BabyGirl goes to her dad's until noon today so if we come here it will only be for a few hours this afternoon and I want to try to make some nobake cookies then.

We've love any pixie dust you can spare for Rachel though. She went to the zoo with the youth group yesterday and was good yesterday afternoon. Then around 5 she started complaining of a sore throat and that her head hurt. By 9 it was a 100 fever, 102.5 at midnight and 103.5 at 6am. Not sure what's going on as she says her throat feels better and she feels fine otherwise :confused3 We're not leaving until about 3:30 so hopefully she'll feel better before then.

Catch you all later today or early next week. Happy Friday!
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Good morning :)

Thanks to our youngest cat Mia, I have been up since 4:30. She knocked over my flower vase & water was everywhere. Riley heard the noise & came downstairs to see what was going on. He had a small piece of wood or something in his hand. He was ready to attack I guess
Sorry about the mess and being up so early, but good for Riley. It is kinda funny though. :goodvibes

Okay -- another plug for August 1, 2009 Eastern...

Elin, Tammi or Robyn -- have any of you been to the National Archives? If so, do you think kids would be interested? Our current intern worked for a Cong. last semester and booked the Cong. tours. She said she loved the archives, but I'm wondering what kids 6 - 12 years old would think of it.
So you are on the 7 nighter, departing Aug. 1?

I haven't been to Archives for probably about 20 years. The Magna Carta was touring and it was there. I would say nay for the kids. It would be nice for about 5 minutes, seeing the Declaration, etc. There are a lot of diaries of different historical figures that are displayed. Everything is under glass. That's really about all I can remember.

the first time Kathrin went bowling was with her gym class in middle school. She got a "1" and has never gotten over it. Although, she and her friends do laugh about it I am sure it did concern her for many years. Actually, knowing my daughter, she probably still agonizes over her lack of imperfection on the alleys... :rotfl2:
Do you mean for one frame or the whole entire game???? :lmao:

Elizabeth - congrats on 13,000!

I feel like I'm forgetting someone. If I am, sorry!

I got great news! My parents have finally given me the :thumbsup2 for our December trip. So now it is official. Me, Bob, the 3 kids, his sister and adult niece, and my parents. Nothing is moving on my OKW waitlist though. I'm getting nervous. I'm ready to make my ADR's on Tues. We are going to do Tusker for dinner, probably Mama Melrose or maybe Primetime. Haven't been too impressed with the antics at PT the past 2 times though. Coral Reef (try to get diver for Nicholas' bday), LTT the night of MVMCP and Hoop Dee Doo. I'll let Nicholas pick where he wants to eat on his bday. That will be our project for Sunday evening.

Just curious, but who all is thinking of taking a Disney cruise next year?
Just thinking at this point...:bitelip:

Chanon - Thanks again for making the changes for me!!

We are now officially set for Sept 19-28. Free dining, moved to All-Star Music instead of Sports which I think I'll like a little better, the end of F&WF, and all but one of my ADRs found. Now to just keep calling for the last one. :woohoo:
Yay!!!:cool1:

Anyone have a kid who is a hummer? Emma is always humming-even at Disney-in the stroller-on bus-in the room. I know when she's asleep when she's not humming anymore. She is the self proclaimed "best hummer in the family!".:lmao: Of course she is-she gets the most practice. I wonder if her teacher will be calling me about it.
My kids are always humming or singing to themselves..hope that means they are happy.

It sounds like the DDA kept Chanon busy today :rotfl: It's so nice having our own personal travel agent :goodvibes
:worship: :worship: :worship:

I agree, good luck deciding what to do Deb!

We all enjoyed this in Dec., but if you are use to riding horses you might not enjoy it as much. The horses go very slow, which was fine by me.

Deb if you go maybe you will get to ride Jack Sparrow as well
Ok, I know you must be talking about a horse named Jack Sparrow, yet that sentence gave me a very different mental picture.
Yum, I love pirates!

Okay -- another plug for August 1, 2009 Eastern...

Both boys rocked on their Stanford tests. If it wasn't for that "little" dyslexic thing that brought down spelling and language... I'm so thankful to have them at that school...I'm so thankful to have them at that school... (trying to keep telling myself that as I wrote their tuition checks yesterday -- ouch!)

Big baseball tournament in Waco this weekend. I'm already nervous. Andrew is still playing well with his rec team, but playing tentatively and with less confidence on the select team. I'm only working 6:30 - 10:30 today, taking the boys to swimming, then going home to finish packing as we leave early today.

Have a good weekend everyone! :)
Congrats to the boys on the test scores!:thumbsup2 Good luck with baseball this weekend. Daniel has 2 games this Saturday but they are calling for rain & storms so we'll have to see how the weather is.

I got great news! My parents have finally given me the :thumbsup2 for our December trip. So now it is official.
Yay!!!:woohoo:

Tia,
:wizard: for Rachel

Elizabeth,

Gynis,
Enjoy London!!

Chanon,
TGIF!

Oh my! I used to be a terrible bowler (well, and still find myself just mediocre the once or twice a year we go), but I honestly didn't know anyone could get a "1"! :rotfl:

:yay: That is terrific news, Tammi!!!

Did you decide which night you are going to MVMCP?

Sounds like everything is falling into place :cool1:

I feel like Elizabeth, I am making a check list now:rotfl:

Don't you have a checklist saved on your computer? I have one for winter and one for summer. Much easier than trying to remember off the top of my head what all I need to bring, and it helps me remember all the little stuff that can't go in the bag until the very last minute. I am quite certain that is the only reason I haven't forgotten anything major.

Elizabeth - congrats on 13,000!

Thanks!
Yay for December!
I haven't been able to get 8/13 at AKV yet, but I am hoping that once we get to that 31 day mark there might be some cancellations. I have until July 31 to bank, so I can go right up to the last minute and still be able to bank those last 20 points if we can't get another night. If we get to mid-July I might just give up on AKV and try to add one more SSR night.

Elin - DS hasn't been bowling for a couple of years, and he has NEVER bowled without the bumpers. With the bumpers he does OK, but without them I think he might be bowling about a "1". :rolleyes1 He bowls on the Wii all the time, but real bowling is different because the ball is heavy and he gets fatigued. So we shall see!
