Have a wonderful time Tia!

Well, I still didn't manage to get packed or the banana bread baked, but that's what tomorrow's for. I think I'm bringin BabyGirl over here since we packed most of the house today. It's just too crazy to keep here there tomorrow. Good part is that I can pack and bake and be ready to go as soon as I'm done at 3. Have a great weekend everyone if I don't make it back before we leave!

Well I guess I should have known that :rotfl:

I think I am just gong to have to buy a new battery :worried:

Hope ds enjoys the bowling party!

Of course I bought them! :rotfl: That was the only pair they had in my size or I would have bought more!

Janet, I hope you get the laptop battery figured out! :wizard:

DS has a bowling party after school today, but last night he was waffling about going. He says he is worried that his score will be low. I offered to pick up his friend and bring him with us, but I haven't heard back from the mom. Obviously DS can't bail out if we are going to take his friend. I think he would have fun if he went, so hopefully he will agree to go ahead and give it a try.

:wizard: for Emma & Lucy! I hope Emma can enjoy her field day.

Your cakes look awesome & very yummy! Great job :thumbsup2

I know there is more that I've missed but I've got to run. It's Field Day. Emma woke up telling me that her ear is "copying her", which more than likely means she has an ear infection. She says she still wants to go. I guess if it's bothering her later we will visit the urgert care. Lucy had a fever of 102 yesterday but is otherwise acting normal. I am hoping and praying that it's her teeth. When will it end? You ought to see all the medicine dispensers in the dishwasher!

Good morning, DDA! Well, the banana bread is in the oven (Thanks for your yummy recipe, Vicki! I use it all the time now.) and the bags are mostly packed. Since Phil is awake, I've got to run up and fiinish up that part. I forgot that BabyGirl goes to her dad's until noon today so if we come here it will only be for a few hours this afternoon and I want to try to make some nobake cookies then.

We've love any pixie dust you can spare for Rachel though. She went to the zoo with the youth group yesterday and was good yesterday afternoon. Then around 5 she started complaining of a sore throat and that her head hurt. By 9 it was a 100 fever, 102.5 at midnight and 103.5 at 6am. Not sure what's going on as she says her throat feels better and she feels fine otherwise :confused3 We're not leaving until about 3:30 so hopefully she'll feel better before then.

Catch you all later today or early next week. Happy Friday!

Good morning :)

Thanks to our youngest cat Mia, I have been up since 4:30. She knocked over my flower vase & water was everywhere. Riley heard the noise & came downstairs to see what was going on. He had a small piece of wood or something in his hand. He was ready to attack I guess

Hope Rachel feels better soon :wizard:

i need some pixie dust the next month or so. my dad called his heart doctor yesterday and told them he isn't feeling to hot. dad is scheduled for a heart cath next Thursday and he might get rolled to surgery from the cath or wait a day or so to have his valve replaced. mom and i are also having a tiff about the dog going on the cruise. so i need pixie dust mom and i get over it asap and dad does well during the cath and surgery.

Sending lots of PD. I saw that the cruise is probably pushed back. Randy's brother had vallve replacement two months ago, and he has just been cleared to go back to work. I think he's in his early 60s. How are you feeling? You had mentioned you had gained a lot of water weight and you had a call in to your doctor. I hope you aren't retaining anymore.

Disney Cruise line called and said they have discontinued the Banana boat rides at Castaway Cay....a little bit last minute if you ask me.

Rats! You guys will still have a terrific time on CC.

Hmmm..I wonder why?

Are you bringing your own hair dryer? I ask because the ones on the cruise are very week. You cannot plug in a hairdryer in the bathroom (only shavers) so if you do bring your own, I would also bring an extension cord. I brought a 3 foot one & it was great.

Don't be too worried about anything. They have items on board if you forget toiletries even clothes. I was in a panic before the cruise thinking the same thing you are now. Now I know better for next time. Enjoy!!

Absolutely -- a multi-plug adaptor is a must. We had so many batteries to charge (camera's, game boys, PSPs etc.) that we had to have the adaptor.

Just curious, but who all is thinking of taking a Disney cruise next year?

Okay -- another plug for August 1, 2009 Eastern...

Chanon - Thanks again for making the changes for me!!

We are now officially set for Sept 19-28. Free dining, moved to All-Star Music instead of Sports which I think I'll like a little better, the end of F&WF, and all but one of my ADRs found. Now to just keep calling for the last one. :woohoo:

Jennifer, let me know what your plans are and we'll see if we overlap. I think we're doing MNSSHP on the same night at least (Tues, right?).

Congrats!

I am getting better at one and a half hand typing:cool1:

I am so glad nobody has seen me getting ready this morning or for my first left handless shower:rotfl2:

I hope your are healing and feeling better!

Have a wonderful trip Kristine!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Have a wonderful trip Glynis!!!!!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Ditto!

Have a wonderful trip Lindsay!!!

Have a wonderful trip Tia!!!

Just a quick pop in...

Kristine, Lindsay and Glynis- :wizard: for safe journeys and magical trips all around.

Bernadette- Hope you feel better. :wizard:

Elizabeth- Congrats to DS!!!

Theresa- I hope your wrist is feeling better. :wizard:

Have a great day and I will chat later. But before I go here are the 2 cakes I did yesterday. The rainbow one I took to Brownies and everyone loved it. My neighbor down the street said she was going to put up a sign in my yard to bring in some business! It was chocolate with buttercream.

I hope Mo, Emma and Lucy all feel better. The cakes were great!

Tia -- hope Rachel feels better too!

Elin, Tammi or Robyn -- have any of you been to the National Archives? If so, do you think kids would be interested? Our current intern worked for a Cong. last semester and booked the Cong. tours. She said she loved the archives, but I'm wondering what kids 6 - 12 years old would think of it.

Elizabeth -- I hope DS has fun bowling if he decides to go. Did you tell him how proud we are of him?

Both boys rocked on their Stanford tests. If it wasn't for that "little" dyslexic thing that brought down spelling and language... I'm so thankful to have them at that school...I'm so thankful to have them at that school... (trying to keep telling myself that as I wrote their tuition checks yesterday -- ouch!)

Big baseball tournament in Waco this weekend. I'm already nervous. Andrew is still playing well with his rec team, but playing tentatively and with less confidence on the select team. I'm only working 6:30 - 10:30 today, taking the boys to swimming, then going home to finish packing as we leave early today.

Have a good weekend everyone! :)

Lindsay, Kristine, & Glynis have safe wonderful trips!

Well, apparently there was no reason to keep hemming and hawing on dates this week. One of the few holdouts on ADRs was LeCellier and I was weighing that and my park plan change with F&WF. I just called to make one more ADR and cancel everything from the first week. We get to the part about cancelling LeCellier and he can't find it. When we got everything else cancelled, he looked back for the confirmation number and it was for Rose and Crown. Apparently when we scheduled R&C dinner for that night and then went to check lunch for LeCellier, the CM didn't get the restaurant changed in the search as I had two R&C ADRs for the same day. I could have been done with my decision days ago if I'd known that! ;) But, now I believe we are set. Of course there's still some refiguring and reorganizing that always comes, but otherwise we're pretty much ready. :woohoo:

Packing, Tia, packing! Get off the phone with Disney and move it. Okay, gotta run for real this time.

Tia - I hope Rachel feels better!

Janet - Good to know that Riley is ready to protect you!

Marci - Yay for good test scores! :cool1: Good luck with baseball this weekend!! And thanks again for helping me get the musical tickets! DS is excited about seeing CATS! :goodvibes

Hey! Look!

13,000 posts!!!!

I was looking at prices last night  But if this is something we decide to do, I should have plenty of time to save for it.

Congratulations to your boys on their test grades & good luck with the tournament this weekend!

Hey Marci - when you going on that cruise again? ;)

WHO HOO on 13,000 posts! (Must be all the planning talk...)

the first time Kathrin went bowling was with her gym class in middle school. She got a "1" and has never gotten over it. Although, she and her friends do laugh about it I am sure it did concern her for many years. Actually, knowing my daughter, she probably still agonizes over her lack of imperfection on the alleys... :rotfl2:

Lindsay... I hope your Hawaii trip is as relaxing as it can possibly be. And I hope you are still feeling better.

You are welcome! I hope you guys enjoy the show.

Quick question -- does anyone have a link or point me to one of those "favorite things" that we fill out from time to time that asks for favorite foods, places you've visited, past jobs etc.? I thought I had saved one on my computer, but I can't find it. I thought it would be something fun to do for staff days which start on Monday, so I need to find something fairly soon. (nothing like waiting to the last minute... )

What have we been telling you?!?!?! :confused3 There is the business you need to look into expanding, Robyn!

I hope the sickies leave your house very soon. You have had a time of it!

Tia - I hope Rachel is feeling better. Also, have a wonderful trip!

I have never been. Have you ever gone to the LBJ Library?
It is part of the National Archives "system" and is probably a very good representation of what to expect. Although there is probably something to be gleaned from a trip to the NA in DC, I would think there are enough other things going on in that lovely city that you could probably skip that part of your itinerary.

Speaking of your trip to DC.... how did I miss that you were headed this way with your family??? :confused3 What are the particulars? I have a couple of days off in the next few weeks and Kristin and I were planning to head up there for some museum fixes. Maybe we could work something out.

Good luck in Waco this weekend. I hope Andrew is at the top of his game. :thumbsup2
