you can't...there's a bar holding you in! 25 minutes into it..Bill said "I think I can break out of it" :lmao:

Ah, more Kristine adventures to enjoy! :rotfl2: I think I would have clambered out of the ride vehicle and hiked out of the ride before I sat immobile for 30 minutes.

Jennifer - Glad to hear that you and the girls are fine, lots of PD :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: headed your way also.

I can't remember if I updated or not since I've been interrupted today.

Nick has a viral thing, probably just a cold. Nothing that they were concerned about or that they could treat. They said that if he isn't better in a week to bring him back. They expected that he may have had more than one virus back to back which is the explanation for him not feeling well for 3 weeks. In any event he is home and just hanging out on the couch. Thanks for the concern.

Hope he gets to feeling better soon.

JEn, are they testing you for preeclampsia? I hope the labs are ok and you go home. FYI, magSO4 is some nasty stuff if they have to give it to you. It is the worst I ever felt. It works, though.

No, still no BP or protein issues -- shocking with multiples! I have been growing increasingly concerned the last few days about cholestasis, which is really rare but somewhat higher risk with multiples. It's unlikely that I have it, but a huge deal if I do, so they just want to rule it out. :goodvibes

Here's the update I posted on another thread:

Well, I thought I'd get a room some day. I swear there is truth in the influx of patients on an OB unit when there is a storm (barometric pressure and all )... there is a poor girl here who came with contractions about 4 minutes apart (over an hour ago) and they haven't gotten her a room yet. I'm obviously in better shape than her, but I think equally as frustrated because I'm only here for STAT labs! If I end up waiting forever for results (they haven't even found a nurse to draw them yet, and won't take me up on my offer to have DH or I do it ourselves, which we are more than willing to do :rotfl: ) then I could have just gotten them drawn in the office and called tomorrow. That's really the only reason I'm frustrated.

So anyway, having multiples I'm at risk for a lot of things of course, and DH and I tend to know too much so we watch for various things closely. For about a week now I've been a bit concerned about liver function, so my OB is putting me here for the afternoon to check serum bile acids and liver function tests to make sure I haven't developed cholestatis. It's unlikely, but it's a pretty big deal if I were to have it, so I'm glad they're taking warning signs seriously (itching, nausea, appetite/bowel issues, etc). As soon as they rule it out, I'll go home and press on ... not much longer.

In other news from the appointment while I have time, I lost 2 pounds (shocking, right?), am at about 70% effaced and fingertip dilated. Despite all the things these babies are doing to my body this pregnancy, it seems awfully headstrong to try and keep them in a little while longer ;)

Continued prayers and pixiedust: for you and those precious, little girls!

Marci,

Horray for Jake & Andrew's baseball games!:cool1:

Snakes???? :scared1: Glad he is gone!

I just hope I don't see him today...or tomorrow...or the next day...

I've never heard of CM's not having reservations. I wonder if you'd have success just walking up?

Nick is home today. He still has a sore throat. I noticed this weekend that he had green nose. Allergies hadn't crossed my mind. Would he get green nose from that? When I called the school they said that there are lots of sore throat issues and stomach issues going around. There is also a confirmed case of strep throat in the 6th grade. I called our doctor's office and they are out of appointments for the day so I'm waiting for the nurse to call back to see if they can squeeze him in.

If your brother needs him to play then let your brother take him. Give yourself a break. I'm sure he'd be fine going with his uncle, wouldn't he?

I'm sorry he's feeling bad. Sending PD he feels better ASAP!

You can certainly ask! I was willing to let DS wait on a bench in the area where you buy the ride photos, but DH had a big hissy fit about it. The ride exits right there, and nobody would have bothered him, but DH was adamant about him NOT sitting there by himself. DS hates ToT, so we either skip it or have him wait with someone in our group who isn't riding. Uncle2 doesn't ride ToT, but he did walk through the queue last year to see the theming and then took the chicken exit. Last summer DS sat with Bernadette's DH and Emma while the rest of us rode.

I bet they will let you do it. Andrew has had no desire to go on the ride (has sensory issues and the dark is not a good thing for him) and is always thrilled to go out the chicken exit by himself. He's been doing that for a few years now. He asks (what a sweet boy most of the time!) to take our backpack and off he goes with the CM.

I am officially on summer vacation (for two weeks) and have spent the morning unwrapping gifts and writing thank you notes.

I am going to pour myself another cup of coffee and sit on my patio before tackling my garden work.

Hope your days go well, friends! :)

Hope you had a great day!

if it's competition time at the Olympic Center it can get expensive...as we found out last summer when we were winded out of our campsite. We've gotten great deals using the company associated with the Entertainment Book. Going to the little town up Pikes Peak a little will also make it a bit cheaper (plus you can go up Pikes Peak a little).

I went all day yesterday with no Vicodin...and actually slept through the night:cool1: . Hurts a bit still.... mainly when I type...so I better stop!!:rotfl2:

I sure hope today went as well. Please don't do too much.

I just got the 2nd coat on & boy are my arms tired!

For some reason I am craving a hamburger which is unusual for me. Off to take a break from painting..I have to get the white trim done (hopefully today) Daniel made the baseball playoffs so I may not have enough time today.

Congrats to Daniel!

Hi, everyone. I don't know if you remember, but over 2 years ago (March 2006) Rees was denied the insurance (Katie Beckett Medicaid for kids with complex medical conditions) after being on it 5+ years. We appealed, hired a lawyer, and never heard anything. I got a letter today with his court hearing for the appeal. It will be August 6th at 10am, which is 2 days after I start my new job. John and I are very nervous about it. If he is denied, they could hold us responsible for all the medical bills the past 2 years which would be well over $200,000. Please pray that our lawyer is able to settle this without going to court and that Rees wins his appeal.

The lawyer is going to cost us a pretty penny too, so we will likely cancel our Dec Disney trip. And we had planned to go to the beach at the end of July, but I think we'll put that on hold too. Hopefully once this is all settled, we will be able to escape for a few days.

Thanks for the prayers.

Sending lots of PD!

Jen -- I hope they get the labs drawn and finished ASAP and you get to go home.

Thanks for all the congrats to the boys! I'm about to leave work to get home and get Andrew for his next-to-last rec game. Have a good evening everyone!

Isn't it like a "prepaid" type menu? Don't you pay a flat fee for a meal? I think Janet and Anne Marie can eat less than what the cost of the CP is.... if that makes any sense.
I didn't think so. But then, I always have the DDP. We did it years ago before there was a DP, and I remember ordering off the menu and just paying for it.

Denise, you and your family absolutely have my prayers. I remember that ordeal very clearly, and hope it can get resolved once and for all.

As for me, I am at the hospital again. They don't really intend to deliver just yet, so the goal is to still send me home after a few labs come back -- hopefully in a few hours. I wanted to pop on though and say mostly that I'll check in later. The last few days I have had increasing concerns that I'm glad they are taking seriously, and that's why I'm here now -- just to rule out a few things that are suspicious. I'll update in a much less vague fashion as soon as I can, but I'm sitting in the stupid hallway because they're too full to get me in a room. All I need is labs supposedly, so hopefully they'll stick me in a closet somewhere or something to get started, so I can go home if I'm going to! Just so you are sure, the babies are fine, and I'm fine. They just want to make sure things stay that way :)
I hope everything turns out fine and that you are back home soon. :wizard:

I'm glad it's only a virus but I hope he does feel better soon. Three weeks is entirely too long to not feel well.

hi everyone--i need some good thoughts! I found out about a preschool job opening in a school district i would love to work for ! Im sending all my paperwork in now!!

Are you having any of the other symptoms besides itching? Have they done the blood tests yet?

Nausea, RUQ pain, etc. No jaundice, but that's usually not present in most women with it. The itching is not related to the PUPPS either (which itches enough it and of itself ), it's generalized, worse at night, no rash - Petichiae after scratching, when I do.

They haven't drawn labs yet. I have the nurse from hell again (a different one.... I'm learning that some stereotypes exist for a reason :rolleyes1 ) and she has no freaking clue what is going on. I think my OBs intentions got lost in translation, between their being understaffed and having a new computer system. She had no idea what I was here for, and all they have succeeded to do so far is hook us up to the fetal monitors and toco -- which wasn't even supposed to happen this admission. I swear, I will be beyond pissed if the one thing I am supposed to be here for doesn't happen!

Call your doctor's office on your cell and have the on-call doc verbally give the nurse the oders.
