Great job for Katie. She sounds like Alyssa, very into drama. I'm considering putting her into a drama camp this summer. There is one for a week, 3 hours each morning, culminating with a show on the last day.
Thank you. That sounds like a good way to start for Alyssa.

Thanks so much, Jennifer. You are very sweet to say that. :goodvibes

I am proud of their accomplishments but truly think of them as theirs! I think Bob and I did a good job in laying the foundation work, but the two of them have far surpassed and dreams I might have had for them when I held those little babies in my arms so many years ago. As I have said before, if they were not my own daughters I would want them to be my daughters' best friends. I think they are pretty spectacular young women.
I know I am repeating myself, but you have done a beautiful job with your DD's & I hope to even come close to your relationship with them when my kids are older.

Happy Birthday Cassidy.

Happy Birthday, Abi!

Since I was scraplifting anyway I thought why not lift them all? :confused3

Happy Birthday girls. Have a great day.

Thanks.

Yes, all you having bad weather today, stay safe. With all of this terrible weather (here, China, Myanmar) I can't help but wonder (1) what are we doing to the Earth and/or (2) what 'someone' is trying to tell us.

Have a great day everyone!

I really think that it isn't so much what we are doing to the earth as much as evolution is happening and we can't stop it. Where did the Dinosaurs go? :confused3 Evolution. Eventually our planet will burn out and become a star just as others have. We are just here for a short time, but evolution is forever. JMO.

We need to run. I'm helping my mother at work today as she is short handed and I need to be there by 11 AM. If anyone needs the 30% off code for Kohls.com PM me as I got one this month.

Colby filled in for Logan last night when Logan backed out of a birthday dinner. Logan was the one child that the other boy decided to invite and he backed out at the last minute. Colby volunteered to go. He had a wonderful time and the Parents were raving about how polite and well behaved he was  We are very proud of him. He was able to turn a disappointing situation around for the birthday boy and he exhibited his best behavior without us even reminding him  My DB and DSIL called him this morning to thank him.:thumbsup2

Chanon will be happy to hear this!
OK OK so I like cheese...a lot. Hey Anne Marie, we need to out Janet on her Disney food obsession! :rotfl:
Stephanie and I wore capris and matching t-shirts. We chose a package deal. The price was perfect and the choices were great. You can see the menu in All Ears.net
Do you guys have photos? If yes, please share! I've been eyeballing the Prince Edwards Tea, but am not sure about pate...so maybe al la carte.

Happy Birthday Cassidy and Abi!!!

:thumbsup2 WAY TO GO, COLBY! You are getting so grown up! :yay:

In the past we have ordered (and finished) the Buckingham Palace as well as the Grand Tea. We added the British Cheese Plate both times, sharing it among the entire table. I think it depends on how you intend to use this tea. It is always our lunch so we are pretty hungry when we go. It can be a LOT of food, but... YUMMY!

Hey Deb,
I saw on the disboutiquers thread that someone made slip covers for their pop-up camper. I immediately thought of you when I saw them

okay i need to figure out one more TS meal I think we will be at epcot on the 21st. I am debating Coral reef, LeCelier, or going to one of the resorts. Spoodles, Beaches and Cream, Grand Flordian or ESPN club
Which would you do and why?

Hi, everyone. sorry to be MIA, but the end of school has me running like crazy! Today alone I volunteered at their school for 3 hours, went to the grocery store, have been to the Dentist and had a procedure done (my whole mouth is numb), just came home to cook dinner for us and a friend who had a baby, then taking the meal to her, kids home, teach choir tonight, and a volunteer dinner. That's on top of finishing my preschool end of year book (24 scrapbook pages each), CPR class Sat am, VBS leader meeting Friday and Sunday, kids gymnastics, class parties, etc, etc, etc. I haven't even taken the pictures from our trip off the camera or camcorder yet. I hope everyone is well, and I promise to be back soon.

Anne Marie - Sounds like Katie did a great job! :goodvibes
DS doesn't want to go to video production camp this summer, which is good because now it is sold out.

He brought home a thing yesterday where they are doing summer camp at the middle school. 8:30 - 12:30, Mon - Thur, from June into early July. Each day they rotate through 4 things - Art, Dance, Movie Making, and "Team Building" which is actually team sport cleverly disguised as something else. And it is FREE!:scared1: But he wants NO PART of dance or sports and it is mandatory to do all 4. So that was the end of that.

He got a 20 on an assignment in social studies yesterday because he didn't have time to finish. Yet he said other kids were allowed to bring it home to finish, and under the rules of his 504 he is allowed extra time even when nobody else is! I am NOT happy. His teacher is a nice lady and she really tries to work with him, but she ALWAYS puts the kids in groups. And there is always some slacker kid who makes the whole group fail. DS got a 60 on an assignment last week because he was at the orthodontist and the other kids didn't do squat! They didn't add anything to the project and then they turned it in the day he was out! I HATE, HATE, HATE group projects because you can not force the other people in your group to work diligently. If they don't care if they fail then they are going to drag the whole group down and there isn't really anything that can be done. And really, giving DS a failing grade when he was out on an EXCUSED absence? NOT fair. I am just not going to go to battle with her when there are only 15 days of school left. If he fails social studies this 6 weeks then he fails. I did e-mail her so we'll see what she has to say.

Coral Reef, just because I like it there.:) We're trying Spoodles in August.

If I was going to be at Epcot already, I would do LeCellier. That is my favorite restaurant. That way I would not have to leave the park.

Happy Birthday(s) Cassidy and Abi! I hope both of you have a wonderful, wonderful day!

Jennifer, we did not enjoy Spoodles at all. It was the only meal we had this trip which wasn't good. We just didn't like the Mediterranean food, and our server was terribly slow. It wasn't horrible, but I'd definitely pick one of the other's listed over it. We loved Beaches and Cream. The burgers and ice cream were fantastic! But you can wait quite a while as it is very small inside and no ADR's. LeCellier is good, and I've read good things about the new Teppen Edo (we will try that in December). We also really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare for dinner with the Stepsisters and Lady Tremaine.

Le Cellier is yummy, but my kids really liked Coral Reef, not for the food (which was delicious) but for the aquarium. There is a card at the table with all the different fish on it that are in the tank. Nicholas spent the time looking for each fish that was on the card. Then a diver came out with a sign for a couple in the front row. He got a kick out of that. I think I might try to do that for him for his bday.

B&C I think is a waste of a dining plan TS. I don't think you would get your $$ worth there. Although their burgers are yummy.

Where at GF? We've done 1900 Park Fare for bfast and really liked it. We are doing the dinner there in August.

The other 2 I haven't eaten at.

Good morning!

Last night we went to Katie's theater show. She sang & danced. I asked her afterwards how she felt up on stage & she said "I love it!". Unfortunately I forgot my camera. Now we are done with theater until September. We looked into the summer camp but #1 it was $2400:scared1: & #2 it ending with 3 shows August 17-19 & I am not cutting any days off Disney for anything. She was fine with it..she likes to sit on the beach all summer & do nothing but read & tan.:snooty: :lmao:

Congratulations to Katie! I think sitting on the beach all summer sounds pretty good!

Looks like we may catch a break and have mostly fine weather. I am sure Kathrin will love it since it is much nicer than what is predicted for Boston this weekend! (:( sorry, Bernadette!)

Oh, no! I haven't looked at a Boston forecast recently. We were hoping to spend some time in Boston on Sunday and maybe catch a Duck Tour. If weather is yucky enough, maybe we'll just head home early. That might be good, too.
