Sunday April 27

Today was our HS day. Again we got up alittle later than we wanted & got into the park around 10-10:30am. Consdering the crowd level we still did pretty good even with the late start.

Daniel & Sophie have become addicted to Star Wars since they got the Lego Star Wars game for Wii. They have become big fans so I knew our first stop had to be Jedi Training Academy. Got there 20 minutes before & Daniel was picked from the crowd to participate. Sophie was a very good sport & clapped & cheered her brother on even though she wanted to be up there too. She was an angel the whole trip...the other 2, eh, not so much!:lmao:

Daniel later said he was "just alittle scared of Darth Vadar"
WDWAPRIL2008531.jpg

He loved battling Darth & I think it was the highlight to his trip.

Lunch was at Brown Derby. I have always wanted to eat have but we never had. I got the cobb salad & grapefruit cake. Very yummy! Dana got the cobb too & a glow drink (blue cosmo I think) & he liked it.

By the way, there were not many kids in this place.

We went over to the animation building. Its too bad they still don't have a working animation studio there anymore. I remember a tour we took years & years ago where you could watch the animators working on the next film. Well we saw the movie with Mushu & then went to say hi to Sorcerer Mickey.
WDWAPRIL2008544.jpg

WDWAPRIL2008542.jpg

We saw some scetches & models for Wall-E.
WDWAPRIL2008539.jpg

WDWAPRIL2008540.jpg

We saw Mermaid, rode ToT:lovestruc, & did some pin trading.
Block party bash was good & filled with lots of energy, however we all liked the stars & motorcars parade better.

WDWAPRIL2008553.jpg

By now it was about 4pm sp we wanted to catch the last stunt show (LMA). We got good seats about half way up & the show was great.
WDWAPRIL2008558.jpg

WDWAPRIL2008560.jpg

As we were leaving, I saw 3 kids in orange shirts that look very familiar. It was Denise's kids, her & John. I went over to say hi & we chatted for awhile about what we had been doing. Her kids & min got along right away. Daniel & Davis walked off to play cars on the sidewalk & Katie chatted away with Brantley Kate. Rees looked very well & happy. It was so nice to meet them all in person.

WDWAPRIL2008562.jpg

WDWAPRIL2008563.jpg

After our meeting we parted ways & headed to Pizza planet for a quick bite to eat. I rode ToT & then we shopped in the villians store..my whole family loves that store. Some more pin trading & we went to find seats for Fantasmic. We sat right up front & had a blast. I never get great pictures so here are just a couple.

The boat launch took too long so we walked back to the Boardwalk, watched some entertainers on the Boardwalk (one guy was so funny) showers & bed!

Monday April 28

Our last full day at the World.:sad1:
We spent the day in Epcot starting with Soarin. The crowds were less today than last Thursday when we arrived. Again we got a late start but we got alot done. Soarin, Test Track, SE, Seas with Nemo, Figment, & Innoventions (my kids loved this new recycle/garbage game called "Don't Waste It". They had to play it twice. You recycle stuff on a computer screen & then move around this computerized garbage truck from site to site. The kids were also chosen to go on stage & participate in a Velcro show..yes folks you heard me right a Velcro show....(you already know that I would rather be in the MK right now, huh? But my nerds, I mean my family love learning & playing for HOURS in innoventions so as Crush says "Go with the flow".) I walked around to pin trade with the CM's so everyone was happy.

Hi Lindsay! Congratulations on the upgrade :cool1: Glad to hear all is going well & you are having a good time. Look forward to reading about it when I return :thumbsup2

Hi, DDA! :)

Coming to you from the queue of Soarin! We have had a great trip thus far, and don't want to go home tomorrow. The GF has been wonderful as always, and I got my first upgrade ever - to an Castle view!

Now my kids had never seen Miyuki & I thought they would get a kick out of seeing her make candy animals. I saw her in October & wanted them to see her. We waited 30 minutes before & were right up front. I explained ahead of time that she makes 1 animal per family so they should think what they all wanted to share. They decided on a Panda. She did call on them & they were so amazed by her handywork.

Our whole trip we had perfect weather. Tonight it spritzed for maybe an hour & that was it...I'll take it!:thumbsup2 I didn't even carry ponchos for this trip.

Dinner was a garden grill. We haven't been here for 10 years.
Here's Katie when she was 2 at the GG.

Now...
WDWAPRIL2008624.jpg

Our server was very s-l-o-w & I think we spent 2 hours in there. It was fun at first but then we all got ansy.

WDWAPRIL2008625.jpg

WDWAPRIL2008626.jpg

We walked around Epcot WS, rode maelstrom, & the Mexico boat ride with the 3 Cabelleros.
WDWAPRIL2008635.jpg

We got to our room before Illuminations & watched it from our patio.

Tuesday April 29,

After getting all our bags together we were going to just have breakfast at the Boardwalk bakery but Dana suggested we have asit down meal at Spoodles. We walked in & got a table right away. We had dinner here last year & we all loved it but this was our first breakfast.
I got the classic breakfast flatbread..so tasty!!!
WDWAPRIL2008637.jpg

Dana got the Italian.

THE END:sad1:

Anne Marie you have some wonderful photos! How neat bumping into Denise & family & your children look so happy :goodvibes

Got my shopping all done & if they run out of food while I am gone something is wrong :rotfl:

In conclusion

- Loved the room, location, pool, & entertainment at the Boardwalk.
- BWI CM's not very Disney-ish. We had 2 negative experiences with CM's beside the one I mentioned.
- The parks were the most crowded we have encountered however with planning we were able to everything we wanted with very little wait. I am still amazed how many people wait in line for over an hour & never use FP. Boggles the mind.
- Weather was beautiful. What a shock to come home..it was in the 40's here.
- We did not have the DDP & we missed it. I think we spent more without it (even with DDE) than we would have if we got the dining plan
- The cruise was worth every single penny & I would love to do it again someday.
-If we do a cruise again, book WDW first & the cruise after so we are nice & relaxed when we come home.

Awesome trip....thank you God for all our blessings!
And thanks to all of you reading along.

Anne Marie - Great report! :thumbsup2 For some reason BWI has never really appealed to me. The clown pool is scary. :scared: I think I will stick with AKL. I say I want to try the Contemporary, but I think I really just want to stay at AKL forever and ever. :rolleyes1

Janet - You have inspired me. Off to the grocery!

Anne Marie,

Thank you for sending your pictures. I really enjoyed them. Such love in your family. It was so good to see the joy in the kids faces when they got their surprise.

Loved your TR :goodvibes

Did you have any time to check out the spa and have some "ME" time for yourself?

I'm not caught up and have things I need to get done, but I thought I'd give you an update on Colby. I was correct, he has hand, foot and mouth disease. It is a coxsackie virus. It should pass on it's own in about a week. It could get worse between now and then, but so far he isn't at all uncomfortable. He is napping now though :goodvibes

Thanks! I thought that about the clown pool too when i saw pictures but the slide is very cool. I love the slide at SAB but you have to go out into the walkway to get to the slide which I don't let the kids do alone. With the Luna pool the entrance to the slide it right by the pool so they could go up alone. That walk up to SAB hurts after 10 times! :lmao:

Thanks! I am so grateful for my little family even if they do drive me nuts!:rotfl:
