thanks Jen how was the interview?
.

I think it went okay, thanks. They were running late and ti was a pretty long interview, but I answered all the questions well i think. At the end they told me i did a good job adn had nice solid answers. They also said I seemed like a natural dealing with children!

The neck ties weren't made by O2 but I think they are similar. The ones at Walmart were $3.47 each.

ETA: According to the Misty Mate site, their neck ties retail for $12.50. The Misty Mates retail for $16.99

I saw the neck ties at Walmart. I'm heading out now so I'll look at the prices because I don't remember what they were. I forgot to pick up stuff for Chuck's cheese torte for his birthday today.

I'll post later how much they are. Then we can figure out what would be a better price if they have them at BJ's.

I read this quickly and thought you were taking Chuck to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DH took Emma to the doctor this morning and they could not confirm or deny Chicken Pox but said we assume that is what it is. They did do a swab but the results won't be back for 2 weeks.

The doctor also wanted her to take an antibiotic for the tick. The results on that test should be back on Wednesday or Thursday and if it is negative we can stop the antibiotic. This worries me because both Lizzy & Joe are alergic to penicillin and Lizzy didn't react til her 2nd time on it and this is just Emma's 2nd time on it.

She WILL be all better by Sunday!!!!!!!

I hope that she doesn't need it and more importantly that she isn't allergic. You really need this vacation.

I haven't seen pictures of the girls in a while. My have they grown. They're beautiful.

My goodness you guys are chatty.

Janet - You and your friends will be in my prayers today.

Beth - Congrats to Laura!

Tammi - Nicholas looked so handsome in his suit, Alyssa looked like she had a wonderful birthday.

Robyn - Loved the birthday cake, and I'm sure the kids did too. I used to decorate cakes with my mom but I haven't done one since she passed away, if I can dig it up I'll post a picture of one we did for my SIL, the bottom layer was 4 feet long. Molly looked like she was having a great time at her party also, and when did Lucy get so grown?

Becky - Sorry you're having such a rough time lately.

Deb - Sorry about the troubles at work, we are also cutting back as sales are slow, luckily DH is more than making up for it with his overtime.

Marci - Congrats to Andrew, just reading about your days makes me tired. It's been a while since I had to do all that running, but I don't regret it, my girls have lots of wonderful memories because of it.

Lindsay - :wizard: Lots of PD that your visit with your brother turns out much better than you fear.

Bernadette - You're turning into quite the seamstress, we'll be expecting to see the kids in your creations at Cape May in August.

Glynis - Glad to hear that you averted a crisis with the airline tickets, I have learned to check our flights often as they are constantly making changes, they have had us leaving our second airport before we arrive more than once. Luckily I have been able to get a better deal out of them most of the time, last September I ended up extending our trip by a day.

Elizabeth - I feel your frustration, wish I could do more but all I can do right now is offer you a cyber hug, and say that we are always here if you need a place to vent.

Elin - Congrats on the new car, I absolutely HATE shopping for vehicles, I don't know why it has to be such a hassle. DH actually bought a new (actually used) truck last week, we'll be driving it to Disney in August. He has added several things to it that you would expect a teenager, or at least someone in their early twenties to want. I told him after this one he has to grow up, he is a PawPaw now you know. :rotfl:

Heidi - Glad to hear you where able to get the roof done.

Amy - I love the new pictures, I predict another new signature soon!

When was the last time Jennifer posted? I hope all is well.

Congrats on the new truck. Chris wants pictures of the upgrades. You know it's a guy thing :confused3

DS had a bit of a rough day. :sad2:
He claims that people have been getting things stolen out of their backpacks while they are at lunch. He put his cell phone in his pocket and took it to lunch with him. THEN he said the phone was vibrating, so he took it out. It was a wrong number so he deleted it. Um, maybe. Then he showed the phone to his friend. And it got confiscated by the resource officer.

So after school DH had to go in the office and pay $15 :scared1: to get the phone back.

I'm a little bit angry at DS. He needs to pay DH back because he shouldn't have had it out at school. I told him repeatedly that his friends are NOT to know about the phone, but the temptation was too great. Ever since he took the phone to Kansas he has played with it relentlessly (at home). I mean he plays with it ALLLLL weekend - he takes photos, he records music, whatever. Well, I am sure he was so proud of whatever he loaded on there that he HAD to show his friend. Lesson learned, now the phone will be staying at home the rest of the school year. He got it because he was staying after for band, but they are finished with that so he has no need to carry it with him. Besides, the rest of the week is "no backpacks" because of testing.

DH was FURIOUS and was being really mean to DS. I feel bad for DS because it worked out OK in the end.

He got his report card today. 5 A's and a C in Math. But the C was a 78, just 2 points shy of a B. It's his best report card yet, and I feel bad that the day was ruined by the phone.

I think that kids messing up is in the air. Both Nick and Hunter have done things without thinking lately and I'm fed up. Their grades have dropped a bit too. I'm trying to nip that in the bud now. I'm sure they will have clearer head with no video games :goodvibes

Congratulate him on the report card

I'm glad it went well. Maybe this is the one. Did the job seem like what you are looking for? How far is it from home?:confused3

Jennifer-LOVE your photos!!!!!

Bernadette - You're turning into quite the seamstress, we'll be expecting to see the kids in your creations at Cape May in August.
Thanks but don't plan on seeing them at Cape May. I don't think they will be wearing creations on our travel day but I have seen some cute plane/airport fabric.

Eek! I hope she doesn't react to the penicillin! Tons of :wizard: :wizard: for her to be feeling 100% by the time you leave!!!
Thanks. The really HUGE thing is that she willingly took it. I'm hoping she's off the antibiotic by Thursday.

Bernadette,
:wizard: that Emma gets well by the time you leave and no reaction to PCN.
I reacted to it the 2nd time as well.
Thanks!

Poor DS-maybe he learned a lesson. I thought you were going to say a bully took it from him. Congrats to him on his good grades.

Long is good! Sounds like it went well!:wizard:

I didn't I paid that much but it was a couple of years ago. I also bought my little misty mate a few years ago and know it was under $10. I'll most likely stop at BJ's on the way home tomorrow.

I hope that she doesn't need it and more importantly that she isn't allergic. You really need this vacation.
Thanks! She really needs this special trip. I can NOT go without her. If I have to I'll have to change my flights and go a few days later but I don't think it will come to that.

This is a bad week for her to miss school. They are doing a bus run-the kids get to go for a ride on the bus. At least she has Joe to ride the bus with her when she starts school. And the Kindergarten teachers are coming this week to talk to them about Kindergarten. AND it is special person day on Thursday where she gets to take an adult to school. Still I would rather have her miss all that then be sick at Disney or have to cancel that trip. I certainly won't be telling her what she's missing.

I am so angry. I just called for my work schedule and I only have 2 nights. That is ridiculous. I have always worked 4 - 5 nights. Another week like this and I'll have to look for a new job. We cannot make ends meet with only 2 nights and with the fact that we aren't busy anyway. Now to think about where one might find a very flexible part time well paying job :lmao: Like I'll find that.:headache:

If you figure this out, please, please, please tell me! I would love to have something that was M-F 9:30-2:30 pm or fewer hours. I can't do weekends or late afternoons/evenings with everything else going on around here.

Beth

Funny you should say that, that's what DH told me when I said I didn't understand why he needed them.

He had the dealer put in a cd player, (I get that one), dual exhaust, (I'm sure the neighbors just love that noise at 4:30 am), and put on some all terrain tires, (he had specific ones he wanted but I know nothing about tires). He has taken it and had stainless steel nerf bars put on it, (I actually like these as it makes it easier for me to get in), a spray on bed liner, and had the windows tinted as dark as he legally could. The custom chrome wheels he ordered should be in tomorrow or the next day, top that off with floor mats, a steering wheel cover and he is just about done. :rotfl: He is also looking at tail light covers, this truck is a GMC Sierra and he hasn't found just the right ones yet, he had Dodge tail light covers on his Dodge that he just sold.

Sounds great but what about Test Track?
...
WHO is that? She looks way too big/old to be Terra.;) Looks like you had a fun weekend!

I know!!! I can hardly believe it. Part of it is her new haircut, I think, but she does look a lot older lately.

Test Track wasn't on their list of must dos, but I'm working to get it in there anyway. I think they's like it. I think I'll just have to convince them to send a FP runner over that way.

Tia and anyone else who does E-Rewards -
American Airlines is dropping out of the program on June 12, so if you want to redeem your points for miles you should do it soon. They have also added 3 new places - Target  , Macy's  , and Starbucks  !! The problem is those 3 new ones aren't a dollar-for-dollar redemption - you have to use $50 to get a $25 Target card.

Ohh! I'm liking that. I have money sitting there because I don't have anything to do with it. There was a magazine I was going to get, but it disappeared. I'll have to go check it out even if it's not dollar for dollar.

Jennifer - Adorable pictures! I can't believe how big Virginia is.

Bernadette - Loads of :wizard: that Emma is clear and the meds are okay.

Debbie - Congrats on the new truck. I'm with you, I don't get half the things he added. :confused3

Beth - I think that I forgot to post my congrats to Laura and her team!

Elizabeth - Congrats to DS on the report card. I hope he's learned his lesson on the phone and that DH is past about is soon.

Karen - love the slide show!

Glynis - Hope your nice weather is headed our way. I didn't enjoy being chilly on the way to drive Phil this morning. I was enjoying those pretty mornings.

Tia-please tell Terra I :lovestruc her froggy hat. (I also like to do dishes at camp too!!:goodvibes )

I just saw that! I have never listened to a podcast (because I don't understand how to do it), but what sad, sad news! :sad2:

I have only listened to one or two of them. I've watched his Star Wars video - the one from the cart. From all the things that I've read, Bawb (as they call him) was a real character.
