Jennifer, I hope your interview goes well today!

Tammi, great pictures from Nicholas' First Communion. Looking forward to seeing Alyssa's party pictures, too.

Robyn, your cake looked phenomenal!!! I noticed a definite resemblance between Mo and Emma, as well. What is it about age 4, making our girls look so grown up?!! :goodvibes

Janet, your haircut looks great! Sending you lots of strength for today's funeral. Please don't feel guilty about your upcoming trip...you deserve it!

Lindsay, I'm praying that your brother only manages to make your trip better, not stressful!

Marci, I hope confidence ran high over the weekend and all the games went smoothly!

Bernadette, more awesome creations!

Deb, I'm sorry about your work schedule. You've been there so long...did they just cut your hours because it's been slow? I hope you can work it out, rather than have to search for a new job.

Glynis, I was so happy to read that your ultrasound went well! :yay: What a relief that you caught those flight issues, too! Phew!

Karen, I'm sorry you have to find another night attendant. What did you think about the dog on DH last night? :)

Tia, sending you and Phil some extra :wizard:

I haven't had a chance to check out Denise's live trip report...I hope they are having a magical trip!

Congratulations to all the new Webkinz adoptions over the weekend! :rotfl:

Good morning to everyone else! :wave2: I hope you all have a GOOD Monday! :grouphug:

Thanks for the dittoable post. Your children are adorable.

Becky :grouphug: :grouphug:

Elizabeth :grouphug: :grouphug:

I'm going to have to swim home. The only day this week they are predicting sun is Wednesday. My grass is shooting up like a rain forest.:scared1:

Elin... nice car :woohoo:

Bernadette,
Olivia got a mild case of the chicken pox after getting her first shot. :wizard: That Emma feels better fast
Thanks!

Bernadette, more awesome creations!
Thanks!

We had a synchro meet to go to yesterday about 3 hours from here in Albany. It was the qualifier for the May meet in Andover, Mass. I am thrilled to say that Laura's team took 1st place in their age group and is moving on! I am disappointed to say that Laura's duet didn't have their best swim yesterday and took 4th place out of 7. They needed 3rd to move on. She was disappointed, too, but saw the silver lining of having more time to practice figures and team. I haven't seen the official figure scores, but I think she had a good figure day, too, though she wasn't in the top 8 (nor were we expecting anything close to that).
Congrats to Laura & her team!

Well I am off! My interview is in an hour--i cannot wait for it to be done! I feel prepared, but i always get so nervous before interviews! Ill be at work afterwards, but Ill post back later this afternoon and tell you guys how it went
Hope it went well!

Adorable. Is that a dress for Crystal Palace?
Yes! For breakfast on my birthday.

Well I didn't sleep well at all last night.
 :wizard: Hope you can work something out!

Bernadette - Hope there are no more spots and Emma is raring to go by the time you leave. Lots of :wizard: for a light case or, even better, no pox at all. Great sewing projects!
Thanks! Maybe just 1 or 2 new ones this morning.

Phil is doing better. He still feels a little queasy, but, at least over the weekend, he wasn't feeling as weak. Hopefully that won't return after working today. We're still waiting for an appt with the GI dr, but the ulcer diagnosis seems pretty accurate so far and the meds are helping that. He's feeling better enough and thankful enough for my help though that he's said that he owes me something. I'm thinking that means I get to go see Made of Honor this weekend or early next week like I was hoping.
Glad Phil is feeling better!

I hope you get the answers you are looking for and she gets better ASAP!
Thanks!
So my good weekend, is over and it is a not so happy Monday.
 Hope your day got better!:wizard:

So, one of the mom's on the camping trip is the one I'm helping plan their WDW trip. We talked about a few things this weekend and I think I've finalized their plans for the most part. It is pretty heavy on meals, but even this is a cut back on the list of places they gave me to begin with. Anyone see anything I might change on this schedule? It is a family of 4 with 12yo and 14yo DDs.

Sat May 24
Arrive 4:05
ME to Music, checkin
7:45 dinner at Sci Fi
Hit RnRC if they can
Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Muppets, Animation building
Probably won't suggest Fantasmic tonight unless they want to do just dinner and the 1st showing

Sun May 25
AK at rope drop
Everest, KRR, Primevil Whirl, FotLK, Pocahontas
maybe Parade
Maybe Yak and Yeti for lunch
Break
House of Blues for dinner
DTD

Mon May 26
Epcot rope drop
Soarin, Imagination, Seas, maybe Spaceship Earth
lunch at Coral Reef
break
Crystal Palace for dinner
Pirate and Princess party

Tues May 27
14yo's birthday, noted on CP ADR on Mon
Typhoon Lagoon
DHS
Beauty and the Beast if they can get there early enough
50s Prime Time for dinner, birthday noted
RnRC, Toy Story Mania if open, maybe Movie ride
Fantasmic

Wed May 28
Magic Kingdom at rope drop
Fantasyland
Frontierland
Adventureland
Tony's Town Square for lunch
break
'Ohana for dinner
Magic Kingdom for whatever
Spectro
Wishes

Thurs May 29
Sea World
dinner at Marrakesh
World Showcase
not staying for Illuminations tonight

Friday May 30
Magic Kingdom at rope drop
Tomorrowland
monorail to Epcot
lunch at Teppan Edo
finish World Showcase
dinner at Biergarten
Illuminations

Sat May 31
ME pick up about 9:30am

Their list of must-dos isn't long except at MK. However, most should be easily accomplished in two mornings with at least one being a rope drop, though both if possible. They may end up dropping some food places along the way depending on how the 12yo feels, but that's the area that their plans are most ambitious.

For anyone who's been. Is Sea World doable and then back to Epcot for a 6:00 meal?
Sounds great but what about Test Track?

I think I've found the next project for some DDAers...

This was posted about on the TPAS board

Cool-looks like something Deb could/would whip up!

Bernadette- I hope Emma's case is very mild and doesn't impact your trip. Love the clothes!

And before I go here is Lucy from this morning. This was her first scrambled egg, I think more of it ended up on her face and in her hair then in her tummy.

Thanks!

Lucy is so adorable!!!!

Here are some (ok, a lot) of pictures from the birthday party.
Looks like lots of fun!!!!

Cool!

I haven't had a chance to trek to the basement to download pictures off our camera, but JCPenney just sent me the link to our portrait session.
Those are awesome!

I'm looking at ordering the Misty Mates online.

I saw these ties in the store the other day and thought I'd like those as well. That would probably be good for Chuck and Mom for sure. For $22 for 2 Misty Mates and 4 neck-ties, I think that is a good price. What do you think?
Seems a bit pricey. I didn't pay much for the neck ties at Walmart. I'll probably go to BJ's tomorrow.

You guys are right.
I keep trying to remember the Al-Anon mantra - something like "I didn't cause it, I can't control it, and I can't cure it." It is pretty widely applicable, even when you aren't dealing with an alcoholic. I think my mother actually gets some perverse satisfaction out of defying me, whether she is aware of it or not.
How frustrating for you but you can't "fix" it and you can only um...make things worse given that your Mom wants to defy you. So sorry!

IHer froggy hat bought just for the trip and earning her the camp name "Froggy":

WHO is that? She looks way too big/old to be Terra.;) Looks like you had a fun weekend!

That seems like a good deal. Too bad they don't have them on overstock as they still have $1 shipping today.

I saw the neck ties at Walmart. I'm heading out now so I'll look at the prices because I don't remember what they were. I forgot to pick up stuff for Chuck's cheese torte for his birthday today.

I'll post later how much they are. Then we can figure out what would be a better price if they have them at BJ's.

DH took Emma to the doctor this morning and they could not confirm or deny Chicken Pox but said we assume that is what it is. They did do a swab but the results won't be back for 2 weeks.

The doctor also wanted her to take an antibiotic for the tick. The results on that test should be back on Wednesday or Thursday and if it is negative we can stop the antibiotic. This worries me because both Lizzy & Joe are alergic to penicillin and Lizzy didn't react til her 2nd time on it and this is just Emma's 2nd time on it.

She WILL be all better by Sunday!!!!!!!

My goodness you guys are chatty.

Janet - You and your friends will be in my prayers today.

Beth - Congrats to Laura!

Tammi - Nicholas looked so handsome in his suit, Alyssa looked like she had a wonderful birthday.

Robyn - Loved the birthday cake, and I'm sure the kids did too. I used to decorate cakes with my mom but I haven't done one since she passed away, if I can dig it up I'll post a picture of one we did for my SIL, the bottom layer was 4 feet long. Molly looked like she was having a great time at her party also, and when did Lucy get so grown?

Becky - Sorry you're having such a rough time lately.

Deb - Sorry about the troubles at work, we are also cutting back as sales are slow, luckily DH is more than making up for it with his overtime.

Marci - Congrats to Andrew, just reading about your days makes me tired. It's been a while since I had to do all that running, but I don't regret it, my girls have lots of wonderful memories because of it.

Lindsay - :wizard: Lots of PD that your visit with your brother turns out much better than you fear.

Bernadette - You're turning into quite the seamstress, we'll be expecting to see the kids in your creations at Cape May in August.

Glynis - Glad to hear that you averted a crisis with the airline tickets, I have learned to check our flights often as they are constantly making changes, they have had us leaving our second airport before we arrive more than once. Luckily I have been able to get a better deal out of them most of the time, last September I ended up extending our trip by a day.

Elizabeth - I feel your frustration, wish I could do more but all I can do right now is offer you a cyber hug, and say that we are always here if you need a place to vent.

Elin - Congrats on the new car, I absolutely HATE shopping for vehicles, I don't know why it has to be such a hassle. DH actually bought a new (actually used) truck last week, we'll be driving it to Disney in August. He has added several things to it that you would expect a teenager, or at least someone in their early twenties to want. I told him after this one he has to grow up, he is a PawPaw now you know. :rotfl:

Heidi - Glad to hear you where able to get the roof done.

Amy - I love the new pictures, I predict another new signature soon!

When was the last time Jennifer posted? I hope all is well.

Tia - I've got plenty of dishes for Terra if she runs out, love the froggy hat, what a cutie!

Jennifer - Great pictures, Virginia has really grown too, they just don't stay babies long.

Olivia and Virginia look so much alike, does Virginia look just like Olivia did at her age?

They look adorable in their Easter dresses!

Amy-CUTE CUTE CUTE pictures!

Robyn-Lucy is getting so BIG

Tammi-Looks like a fun party!

Elin-Congrats on the car!!!

Jennifer---Great pictures--Virginia is getting so big!

Deb-sorry things are rough at work

tia-cute pictures!

Janet-you and your friends are in my prayers today

Eek! I hope she doesn't react to the penicillin! Tons of :wizard: :wizard: for her to be feeling 100% by the time you leave!!!

Tia - Love your pics!

Jennifer - Olivia and Virginia are precious! Such sweet faces! :goodvibes

Beth - I don't think I said congrats to Laura! Have you talked with her about the WDW trip yet?

Oh my gracious!! Those are the prettiest redheads I've ever seen:lovestruc

My friend wants to know where the Easter pictures were taken?? She also said they were great pictures.

at my moms in her front yard. The blue flowers you see our bluebonnets are state flower.

Tia and anyone else who does E-Rewards -
American Airlines is dropping out of the program on June 12, so if you want to redeem your points for miles you should do it soon. They have also added 3 new places - Target  , Macy's  , and Starbucks  !! The problem is those 3 new ones aren't a dollar-for-dollar redemption - you have to use $50 to get a $25 Target card.

DS had a bit of a rough day. :sad2:
He claims that people have been getting things stolen out of their backpacks while they are at lunch. He put his cell phone in his pocket and took it to lunch with him. THEN he said the phone was vibrating, so he took it out. It was a wrong number so he deleted it. Um, maybe. Then he showed the phone to his friend. And it got confiscated by the resource officer.

So after school DH had to go in the office and pay $15 :scared1: to get the phone back.

I'm a little bit angry at DS. He needs to pay DH back because he shouldn't have had it out at school. I told him repeatedly that his friends are NOT to know about the phone, but the temptation was too great. Ever since he took the phone to Kansas he has played with it relentlessly (at home). I mean he plays with it ALLLLL weekend - he takes photos, he records music, whatever. Well, I am sure he was so proud of whatever he loaded on there that he HAD to show his friend. Lesson learned, now the phone will be staying at home the rest of the school year. He got it because he was staying after for band, but they are finished with that so he has no need to carry it with him. Besides, the rest of the week is "no backpacks" because of testing.

DH was FURIOUS and was being really mean to DS. I feel bad for DS because it worked out OK in the end.

He got his report card today. 5 A's and a C in Math. But the C was a 78, just 2 points shy of a B. It's his best report card yet, and I feel bad that the day was ruined by the phone.
