Elin congratulations on the new car!

Amy what beautiful pictures of Alyssa! Matty is such a cutie as well :goodvibes

Chanon the misty mates & neck coolers look like a good deal :thumbsup2

Tia great pictures! Terra is growning into a beautiful young lady :goodvibes

Bernadette sending lot's of :wizard: Emma's way!

Jennifer love the pictures! Olivia & Virginia are growing so much, you have two very pretty girls there :goodvibes

Elizabeth Riley plays with his cell phone a lot as well. I do not even like him to take it to school, but sometimes it gets past me. I got a call from school last week because Riley's phoned beeped during class(he says he thought it was turned off  )& he was given ISSP(in school suspension program). I think I would be upset if the school charged me $15 to get my own phone back, that is ridiculous in my opinion. Congratulations to ds for his good grades, sorry his day ended on such a bad note

Jen sounds like your interview went pretty smoothly!

Karen love the slide show of Shocker :goodvibes

Janet, this was just too perfect... had to quote it and say, "DITTO!"

and now it is 11:00 and I will turn into a turnip if I don't go to bed. See you all in the morning! :)

Well, well, well... the DIS must have been down last night! I was the last one to post at 11:00 and the first one to post this morning at 5:30??? :confused3

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

ETA: I see the DIS clock is off by about 22 minutes...

if you are very nice to me I might let you sit in it one day... :lmao:
I was thinking about that yesterday and trying to come up with where we could plan a roadtrip. Are you going to keep the same tags so I can recognize you around town???

no :(

We still have the Mazda so I couldn't transfer the tags. But I am working on a new vanity plate that will be easily recognizable... :rolleyes1

Wow... we had some pretty nasty weather here in Virginia yesterday. One of the tornadoes that touched down was just south of Richmond, so that was much too close to Kristin for my liking. Luckily no one was killed but the damage is horrific. All we had here was heavy rains.

i just made this slide show. and my mind just had a brain fart. ill post later when i remember what i was gonna say
Nice!

Bernadette - Loads of :wizard: that Emma is clear and the meds are okay.
Thanks! She's still asleep this morning but no new spots when I got home last night and some have already crusted over. She doesn't like the medicine but took it quite nicely-she's growing up. Hopefully I won't have to travel with it but I'll get a free fridge at Pop if I do.

so sad!

Bernadette sending lot's of :wizard: Emma's way!
Thanks!

Now that I am caught up I am going to say goodnight. It has been a long day, I am worn out physically & mentally.

Yes she will!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
Thanks!

Off to take my test.
:wizard: Hope it went well!

So i am officially booked and will be in florida july 12-19 for some "cousin time!"
im sooo excited!
:woohoo:

Good morning :)

Matt's funeral service was really wonderful yesterday, the minister said a good sermon. He even got us to laugh a couple of times while reflecting on Matt's life. Mary has a long road ahead of her & I know she will never be the same person. Matt was not married to the mother of his son & they had split up about a year ago(he found out she was cheating on him). He took this really hard & had to get a lawyer for custody rights. He had finally gotten all of this settled & was getting Tyler on a regular basis. The mother came to the visitation & put on a really good show for everyone acting upset & telling Mary & family they could see Tyler when ever they wanted. She did not come to the funeral, which really was no surprise. Mary called her after the service wanting to know if she could bring Tyler over for a while. Her response, "It will be a cold day in you know where before she sees Tyler again". What! This girl is being a witch with a capitol B!!!! I can't believe she said this to her & of all days. Anyway you can imagine how everyone was feeling at this point. We were all hoping she would be civil, but I guess not. So now the court battles will start so Mary can see her grandson :sad2:

Yesterday after I got home we went & purchased our living room & Dining room furniture :thumbsup2 The dining room table will be here Thursday & the living room furniture will be here next week. Gary did not work yesterday because of our crazy weather & was able to get started on a couple of small things.

Hopefully the walls will get painted & the new floor will be put down before the furniture arrives next week.

Yesterday's weather was really wacky! We had strong winds along with rain, sleet, & snow, it was so cold! Hopefully today will be better.

Gary also gets his upper dentures today, I cannot wait to see his beautiful smile again :goodvibes I am going to cook some chicken & dumplings in the crockpot today as his gums will be sore for a a while(he gets his last four front teeth pulled today).

I suppose I should get going so I can get ready for work & get dinner in the crockpot, have a great day all!

Here's the Pooh dress I made for Emma. This is the one I had to take apart but it looks so cute on now.

And some fun shorts for Lizzy:

Those are terrific! You are making me want to get my sewing machine back out, but no one here would where anything that I make anyway. :rotfl:

I am exhausted. Another big but fun day. Alyssa's bday party was a lot of fun, and we had a good turnout. Then it was time to come home and play with all of the presents. I need to go back to work tomorrow so I can get some rest!
Sounds great! I'm hoping as I continue we'll get some pictures.

Marti says HI to all of the DDA!

You and me both! We need to start posting on the support thread again! With Deb's reminder the other night, I didn't have my second bottle of pepsi (though it was tough)!

You both can do it! Please, please, please catch yourselves early!

Good morning, DDA! This catches me up on Chapter 7 to where it was yesterday morning when I posted. But now there is a lot more to catch up on.

Now I need to go finish cutting photos of small children into flower shapes for our Mother's Day crafts.

Yay, for Laura's team! :cheer2:

I hope your end-of-the-year open house goes well. When does your preschool let out? Alyssa's last day is May 14th!

Thank you to you and everyone who congratulated Laura and her team!

Our last class days are Monday, May 19th and Tuesday, May 20th. We have a full school picnic to do on May 21st, and graduation is Friday, May 22nd. We'll spend more than our normal class time on that Thursday cleaning out the classrooms. I love all the kids, but I am ready to be done. Between then and now, though, we have Open House and two Mother's Day teas to plan for. We also need to bake and prepare the fruit plate for the Mother's Day teas. This year I am going to put in to be reimbursed for the ingredients (at least the fruit), I think. It gets to be so much.

I agree. And since I started busing tables in 1992 that must make me the most senior in that department. I've decided that if I can't get wait shift I will insist on getting bus shifts to make up the difference which should totally screw up his scheduling. I'm thinking a little leverage might go a long way. I hate to play dirty as it is not my style, but forced into a corner what's a girl to do?
 I hope it all works out or that you can find another job.

Here are some (ok, a lot) of pictures from the birthday party. I'm thinking maybe I should have Alyssa in gymnastics instead of ballet! I got the cake from Wal-mart, so don't think I'm a master decorator like Amy or Robyn.
Great pictures! Alyssa looks so grown up!

My cousin called me last night...Rant over.

I found a large flower punch, so the photo cuts were easier than I thought. But now I'm running really late anyway.

Have a great day, DDA!

Good morning DDA. Well, I wasted my 10,000 helping someone find Mulan for character signings! So you guys get 10,001! I know Amy will like that number.

no :(

We still have the Mazda so I couldn't transfer the tags. But I am working on a new vanity plate that will be easily recognizable... :rolleyes1
Oh I didn't know you were keeping it. You'll have to let me know what the new one is.

Good morning :)

That is so sad Janet. I hope everything works out for Mary and Tyler, without too much drama.

I can't wait to see your new furniture in place.

YAY for 10,001!!!

  I just read reports this morning and hoped that no one was killed. There was a lot of devastation.

Good morning :)

That is so wrong. Thankfully the courts do recognize grandparent's rights these days. It is unfortunate that it will result in that.

Good Morning.

Well it's not so good here. We've had pouring rain for 24+ hours here. I never stopped for a second yesterday and is still pouring now. I guess I'll need to check the weather report to see when it's supposed to stop. I don't think the kids will be having Lacrosse tonight. Even if it stops raining the fields will likely be saturated for days.

Colby has school today and I need to run a couple of quick errands. Otherwise no big plans. I will work at 5 PM. Hopefully I will get a chance to "chat" with my boss this evening. I'm not looking forward to it. I also realized that the kids have evening activities that will make me unavailable for a minimum of 4 nights in May, not to mention Lacrosse games. I don't think I'll write myself off for those and just hope for the best. Man it is hard juggling Mommy responsibilities with our need for an income  The nights I need off are for concerts or evening academic programs.
