Elizabeth, I agree with Momboss. You shouldn't put your life on hold to potentially "rescue" your mom out of a situation, particularly when she keeps shunning your help. I say go, and enjoy yourself! If something happens that absolutely requires you to get to your mom, I'm confident the logistics wouldn't be too hard to coordinate.

Great news!

Wow, Becky. Lots of   and energy for the coming days. I'm sorry to hear about your great uncle.

What a nice man! Glad it was easily fixed!

The way the GF beach is situated, it faces more towards the Poly, and not towards the MK. The best place to see the fireworks at the GF is right outside Gasparilla's Grill (their CS restaurant), at the GF marina. They have umbrella tables outside, and the music is generally piped in. You can also see the fireworks from the resort launch dock, and near Narcoossee's.

Any thoughts of where you'd like to eat on your anniversary? Will you take the girls, or look at child care?

We will have the girls as I am not planning on taking my pump, therefore no way to get milk for Virginia. Plus she gives Daddy a hard time as it is, not sure what she would do with a stranger. I looked at Le Cellier and Coral reefs menus but just not sure.

One more for Theresa, I didn't use the fancier font because I have the impression that Abi isn't a fru fru type of girl. If I'm wrong I'll be glad to change it,

Debbie-YOU ARE AWESOME!!! I love it!!! you are right she is not a frou-frou kid...neither girl is. These will be great for their birthday weekend and days!!

I hate to admit this, but I don't know how to change a tire :rolleyes1

My dad wouldn't let me get my license until I could change the tire, check the oil and add oil if it was low. I also had to learn to drive our stick shift.

I'm with Momboss. You shouldn't feel bad about your trip! You deserve this!
I agree! And if that doesn't work how about DS deserves this trip. I'm sure this is hard on him too.

Although Monday I could be attending my Great Uncle Alvin's funeral.
Sorry about your Great Uncle.

I ought to be thinking about our Boston trip and what all we would like to accomplish while we are there. I am semi-motivated to do that tonight...

We want to see Lexington and Concord and Sturbridge Village one day, a portion of Cape Cod and also Bob would like to take the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard one morning. So I am thinking we are looking at two separate days there. Then there is a day in the city and a day somewhere around Salem and the North Shore. I am pretty certain my brother and his family will expect to see us while we are in the area too. And Bernadette ... ;)

I think we will have no problem filling up 9 days very quickly!
:)

Bernadette - Well, you weren't expecting me to call! :rotfl2: I kept the green bag, even though the blue and the pink were VERY nice. I also found another bag over in the luggage section that I ALMOST bought. It was more like a small carry-on - it had the thing on the back where you slide it over the luggage handle. They had the briefcase bag, too. :rolleyes1 I saw the "only bagg" on a website but Marshall's didn't have any. :confused3
My friend loves her "only bagg" so far-she used it walking out of the office tonight. It is a bit too big/confusing for me with the 3 compartments.

I haven't had a chance to try the new sneakers on Emma yet. Need to do that so I can return 3 pairs and the shirt, shorts and capris I bought myself today.

I did a load of wash when I got home and iron 4 pieces of fabric. One was 5 yards of white muslin to use as lining material for a few dresses and shirts. I got PJ pants cut out for Halley and finished the shorts for Lizzy.

I still have some towels in the dryer. Once they finish I need to go to bed. I've been so tired this week.

Becky, really sorry to hear about your uncle.

Chris, love the truck!!

Glynis, so happy to hear about the baby...

Welcome Jack, Julie.

WTG, Elizabeth's son!!!

I know there is a ton more, that is why I dittoed a couple of posts. I'm so far behind. Anyway, I've gotta get to bed. I have to take my DGS to preschool tommorrow. My DD has a 7:00am meeting! Who has 7:00 am meetings! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Nite, nite.

Morning all,

About an hour ago I received a phone call from my manager, her son was killed tonight in a motorcycle accident. I am so devastated, I cannot believe this happened :sad1: Matt was in his 30's & a father to a wonderful little boy that recently turned one.

Please say a prayer for Mary & Russel & for their family as they try to deal with this very sad tragedy.

I cannot go back to sleep, so I am going to go ahead & get ready to head to work. Chat with you all later.

You said this perfectly, Lindsay, so I'm just going to ditto you.

My parents had a stick shift and that is the car I learned to drive with.

I'm so sorry Janet. They all must be devastated. :wizard: that they can get through this. My heart goes out to everyone. :grouphug:

oh, he is so hooked! :lmao:

::yes:: :teeth:

A very nice stranger came into my studio tonight to tell me that one of my tires was completely flat. As I was getting ready to change it a father of a student in a class I don't even teach came out and did it for me. Then myBob came downtown and followed me to our tire place.

Instead of going out to dinner with my Singers friends we came home and sat outside in the :sunny: and had a glass of wine. Now, it is barely dark and I am home, and done with everything. I could get so used to these shortened hours. Of course, our budget would probably be strained if I quit teaching at 6:30 every night! :rotfl:

That sounds like a wonderful night, all around! :goodvibes

We had a new bishop appointed over our congregation, and he stood up and told us all how happy he was, and if there was ever anything anyone needed, he would be happy to help out. One of my neighbors kids started acting up, and his daddy got up to take him out, and the little boy screamed at the top of his lungs, "Bishop, help me!" I was impressed that the bishop left the podium, took the little boy from his father, and got the little boy calm!

How cute!

Hello
Thank you allfor the compliments on the new truck. I've been walking around the last couple of days with a severe case of per-ma-grin :teeth:

And I thought I put that grin on your face :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

We leave tomorrow!!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: I can only imagine how excited you and John are.... and the kids are probably equally excited that they "leave on Saturday"! :teeth:

YES!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

Hi Steffy! :wave2:
