It doesnt..at least not yet..
If i get a job for the fall, im going to be taking the summer off (which is of course, what we are really hopoing for!)
But...i am leaving that week in as requested off--i will just take it unpaid--so that plan is still on!

The trip will not be defnite til tomorrow--im putting in for 4 days off today so we will see what work says--wish me luck!

I'm so happy you are going to try and work it out! :goodvibes :wizard:

I got absolutely no sleep, after dealing with work crap (and emailing, etc) until after midnight. I'm not going in today, mostly just on principle, but still.... it appears my relaxing "vacation" might have come to an end, because there is SO much workplace drama surrounding the fact that I chose not to give up my planned vacation to come in. The reason I always said I couldn't be a business woman is because of the whole back-stabbing, gossip, childish crap that simply "has to" happen in corporate America. While this is paying the bills nicely, I'm so glad it's just temporary! It's absolutely pathetic the way some adults can act. No, just the way some adults ARE. :furious:

With that being said, I'm going to try and jump into my to-do list and see if I can ignore work as much as possible. I am, after all, using up PTO to work from home (and, most importantly, not getting a break that I desperately need!) I have sent a few very large, somewhat loaded emails that I have to follow up on this morning, but otherwise I sure as heck hope not to hear from them much. We'll see...

I hope you all have a wonderful day! It is supposed to be sunny today at least, which I'm very much looking forward to! :goodvibes

I loved Nancy Drew mysteries. I loved the Hardy Boys too :thumbsup2

Today was yet another crazy day and I'm exhausted. I managed to get Hunter's room pulled together for the time being :thumbsup2 I also did a bunch of laundry though it is not completely done. Chris took the boys to Lacrosse only to find out it was cancelled and no one, not even the coach was aware. The gym they had planned to use had a concert or something going on. Hunter was so upset that he cried :sad1: Hopefully they will be able to play on Thursday.

I have a huge to do list for tomorrow plus a planning meeting for Colby's speech therapy. I have no idea why we need to make a plan before the eval :confused3

I'm off to bed. Good night DDA

Deb -- I hope you are feeling better and that you make even more progress on your list today.

Update on my house. We are spring cleaning up a storm while Mark is away. He left last week and wont be home until the 8th.

-So far Cassie has been easy going about things. She finished all her credit to graduate HS early
-Giving Bethie her shots alone is not my idea of fun.
-I have gained a few pounds and will be working on getting them off before Mark gets home.
-No job offer as of yet, but I am still working on it.
-We spent Easter with my sister, it was nice and slow going.
-steam cleaned the girls floors the other day and will be doing the kids tv play area today.
-my sister donated a cruise for Ellie to auction off the next few months. We figure $5 per entry ticket of $2 for 5 entry tickets. The drawing will be May 26th at a Talent showcase in town.
-Putting away all Easter things today and tomorrow.
- can collection is going alright, but we need so much more. Last drop brought us $97, I hope for another drop of $140 next time.

I do hope you are all well.

Paula -- PD to you! Good luck on the next can collection. Hang in there!

Wonderful news -- good luck with the request.

Could you guys put the power of the DDA to work for my coworker Anne Marie? She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is 41. She, another coworker & I were all due the same week when I was pregnant with Lizzy. We all had girls. So her DD is nearly 9 and she has an 11 year old DS. She has just been diagnosed with colon cancer.:sad2: She is still consulting with surgeons. They have told her it isn't stage 4 but they aren't sure how bad it is yet.

Thanks for your prayers. Her poor parents. Anne Marie has a 2 year old neice with brain cancer-she is doing well right now.

Absolutely -- prayers sent!

Elizabeth -- how are you feeling?

I'm marginally better, which is better than the alternative. :)

It's supposed to get up to 80 today and one of the air conditioners at work isn't working, but we put the call in yesterday and they are SUPPOSED to be here this morning. We'll see.

Have a great day everyone! :)

Bernadette, I will definitely keep your coworker, her family, and her niece in my prayers! :grouphug:

Bernadette,

Sending good thoughts to your friend & her family as well as her little neice. I hope they caught it early enough so she can recover quickly. :wizard:

Hi Paula!

Jen - good luck!

Jennifer - I hope you don't have to deal with any work issues today.

Good morning. :)

Wow what a weekend! Sounds like the twins had a fun birthday & all enjoyed the egg hunt.

 for your niece, so sad to hear this.

I would be upset about Easter dinner as well, sorry you ended up cooking for everyone :sad2:

Well, it's nice to be back, and finally all caught up!

Poor Hunter  I hope they can play as planned on Thursday!

Chris took the boys to Lacrosse only to find out it was cancelled and no one, not even the coach was aware. The gym they had planned to use had a concert or something going on. Hunter was so upset that he cried :sad1: Hopefully they will be able to play on Thursday.

Good morning,

Sophie still has a fever, we are going to the Dr's.

Dana's mom is sick, Dana is taking her to the Dr. I am so worried about her as she seems to have deteriated quickly over the last few months.

There has been a general "funk" here too. I have been down for some time as life has been very hectic.

I finally told my co-cathecist that I will not be teaching the boys next year. She took it well & said she will continue with them. I feel very guilty but the boys are just so disrespectful that I just cannot do it anymore. I am very strict with my kids (& with that strictness comes great rewards ie. huge Disney trips, priviledges at home & the like) I cannot discipline these kids & that drives me up all wall. I am not there to teach them to behave like humans I am there to teach religion. I cannot image how these boys must act in their own homes or how the parents handle it. Well I guess they don't "handle" it & thats why we have this issue each week.

I'm sorry you won't be teaching again next year, Anne Marie, but I'm sure it's a huge load off of your mind since you've talked to you co-catechist about it.

Anne Marie, lot's of  for you.

:wizard: for Sophie & your mil.

Glynis or anyone that has made the pot roast, does this make a good gravy for mashed potatoes?

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Good Morning.

I'm giving myself time to catch up here this morning then I'll do some vacuuming before I head out to Colby's meeting. Once I get back I will dig in and try to tackle a large project or two. I MUST get this mess under control as the stress is unbelievable. I can't believe that our trip is getting closer and I'm spending much less time planning than I did in the last few months :confused3

Thank you! Gary does not like the potatoes cooked with the roast. So mashed potatoes it is!

I plan on making his tomorrow, I will let you all know how everyone liked it.

::yes:: I like it.

Jennifer - i hope there is less work drama today! :wizard:

Deb - Good luck with your projects! :wizard:

Anne Marie - You made the right choice! I hope Sophie feels better soon! :wizard:

Marci - Glad you are feeling a little better! I am still congested with that tickle in my throat, but I am certainly not worse than I was. :) I hope they get the A/C fixed for you!

Good morning, DDA!

Glynis - Good to have you back! :) Glad the twins had a nice birthday! I think if I arrived for a holiday dinner and the hosts had no food I would take my food and go home! :rotfl2:
I'm sorry for Alan's niece - I hope she is doing OK.

Deb - Glad things are moving along!

Janet - Yay for the paint smell not being as strong!

Paula - Good to see you posting! Sounds like things are going pretty well!

Ditto! :thumbsup2

I'm so sorry about your having to deal with all of this, Jennifer. I have nothing but lots of  :wizard: to get you through the next few weeks, until you can kiss (or kick? ;) )this job goodbye.

And yes, the work place generally brings out the BEST in everyone, doesn't it?

Me, too. That poor family. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: for Sophie and your MIL. I hope both have good reports from the doctor today. for the funk. Glad your talk went well with your co-cathecist - sounds like that was the right decision to make for you.

Jen - good luck with putting in your time off for the cruise! :wizard:

Marci - glad to hear you're not getting worse. Hope the AC man comes today - looks like you guys will need it over the next few days.

Elizabeth - glad to hear you're on the mend, too. :goodvibes
