Could you guys put the power of the DDA to work for my coworker Anne Marie? She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is 41. She, another coworker & I were all due the same week when I was pregnant with Lizzy. We all had girls. So her DD is nearly 9 and she has an 11 year old DS. She has just been diagnosed with colon cancer.:sad2: She is still consulting with surgeons. They have told her it isn't stage 4 but they aren't sure how bad it is yet.

Thanks for your prayers. Her poor parents. Anne Marie has a 2 year old neice with brain cancer-she is doing well right now.

prayers and pixie dust to Anne Marie

Robyn-I am so sorry life is so upside down for you right now.I will pray that it rights itself soon!!

Tammi-you are a wonderful daughter for helping your mom & dad....it sounds like a group home might be the answer. Your menu sounds yummy:goodvibes

Glynis-I am sorry that your family disappointed you for Easter dinner...just think that means less cooking and stress at holidays now. Sounds like a great weekend otherwise. I can just see the girls scooting around:goodvibes

Elizabeth-I will be thinking about your mom tommorow.

I'm off to bed. I have another early morning tomorrow. Plus I have to get some stuff done around the house. I haven't unpacked since my return last night. I've been slowly putting it away but need to get it all taken care of tomorrow.

Nancy Drew was my favorite book as a kid so I am looking forward to it. I'll let you know after we watch it.

I will be honest right now and I think I have read one Nancy Drew book growing up...but the movie looked cute.

I come on and everybody leaves me:confused3 I promise I showered today.:lmao:

We've had funerals galore at my work but today I think hit me the hardest, though I know the Saturday one hit more of the staff (probably 500 attended Saturdays). Today's funeral was of a gentleman who married late in life and while I didn't know him very well his wife is so sweet. Janice sang opera at the Met before moving to Colorado. Because they didn't get married until later they didn't have kids and he didn't have siblings and she only had a brother. She didn't think there would be anybody at the service but I am happy to say it was well attended. She made sure to apologize twice to me for being a pest...I told her she wasn't a pest..but if I told her who was I'd get into trouble:rotfl:

Hi guys--im running around like crazy trying to book a trip :)
but just wanted to let you all know im okay and ill check in tomorrow!

I see you worked out a way to go on the cruise :thumbsup2 That is very exciting. How does that effect your June or July vacation?

My nephew has even said he'll dress as Prince Charming for the CRT breakfast. Now, I have to find two costumes. He is 10 so I was quite surprised. He was actually telling me what we would need to make the costume.

Theresajoy on the boutique thread made a cute Prince Charming outfit for her son. It look nice and fairly cool too

You were actually too young to really be in the major heyday of Nancy Drew.

I loved Nancy Drew mysteries. I loved the Hardy Boys too :thumbsup2

Today was yet another crazy day and I'm exhausted. I managed to get Hunter's room pulled together for the time being :thumbsup2 I also did a bunch of laundry though it is not completely done. Chris took the boys to Lacrosse only to find out it was cancelled and no one, not even the coach was aware. The gym they had planned to use had a concert or something going on. Hunter was so upset that he cried :sad1: Hopefully they will be able to play on Thursday.

I have a huge to do list for tomorrow plus a planning meeting for Colby's speech therapy. I have no idea why we need to make a plan before the eval :confused3

I'm off to bed. Good night DDA

Update on my house. We are spring cleaning up a storm while Mark is away. He left last week and wont be home until the 8th.

-So far Cassie has been easy going about things. She finished all her credit to graduate HS early
-Giving Bethie her shots alone is not my idea of fun.
-I have gained a few pounds and will be working on getting them off before Mark gets home.
-No job offer as of yet, but I am still working on it.
-We spent Easter with my sister, it was nice and slow going.
-steam cleaned the girls floors the other day and will be doing the kids tv play area today.
-my sister donated a cruise for Ellie to auction off the next few months. We figure $5 per entry ticket of $2 for 5 entry tickets. The drawing will be May 26th at a Talent showcase in town.
-Putting away all Easter things today and tomorrow.
- can collection is going alright, but we need so much more. Last drop brought us $97, I hope for another drop of $140 next time.

I do hope you are all well.

Well, it's nice to be back, and finally all caught up!

Anyway, that's where we are, now! Life is getting back to normal. Whatever that is!

Whew! You have been busy, Glynis. Glad the past week or so has (for the most part) been enjoyable! I have missed you.

Nancy Drew was my favorite book as a kid so I am looking forward to it. I'll let you know after we watch it.

mine too! I will see how you like it before I think about watching it. I am not much of a movie-goer/watcher, so I don't often watch anything here at home.

I see you worked out a way to go on the cruise :thumbsup2 That is very exciting. How does that effect your June or July vacation?

It doesnt..at least not yet..
If i get a job for the fall, im going to be taking the summer off (which is of course, what we are really hopoing for!)
But...i am leaving that week in as requested off--i will just take it unpaid--so that plan is still on!

The trip will not be defnite til tomorrow--im putting in for 4 days off today so we will see what work says--wish me luck!

Good morning, DDA!

Glynis - Good to have you back! :) Glad the twins had a nice birthday! I think if I arrived for a holiday dinner and the hosts had no food I would take my food and go home! :rotfl2:
I'm sorry for Alan's niece - I hope she is doing OK.

Deb - Glad things are moving along!

Janet - Yay for the paint smell not being as strong!

Paula - Good to see you posting! Sounds like things are going pretty well!
