I managed to get the DVD exchanged with no problem at all!!! Can't wait for Easter to be able to watch it.

Elizabeth sounds like you & princess are having a very rough day!

Perfect. The jackhammer is setting off the burglar alarm next door, so I have jackhammer AND high-pitched siren. The siren stops while the system resets, then it starts again.
Princess was crying but she is SO tired she wasn't even sitting up when I went in her room. I covered her back up and turned her music on so we'll see how that goes.

I think he is lucky to have had time off around EASTER. I totally believe that they have to go back Easter Sunday. We always had class through Black Friday and class again on Monday after Easter. We never had a day off around Easter. Some professors would cancel class, but the school was still open. Spring Break was never at the same time as Easter. I think most colleges do not have a day off at Easter, except schools that are religious. At least this has been my experience, others mileage may vary.

We didn't even get it off on purpose at my college (private religiously affiliated).

The girls have next week off and I have Monday off (because most of the staff works on Easter Sunday...they get the next day off)

Well, I'm going to head to bed. Instead of being one of the poor souls stuck at an airport in Texas tonight, I spent the evening on my couch in my cozy pj's. Much better, IMO. I also just got sucked in to watching some QVC (Bare Minerals was on). I was very close to getting myself into more trouble, but the kit I was eyeing sold out. Divine providence!

Anne Marie - Maybe one of these days we'll stay at BC! I sat here last night and tried to work out the dining costs day by day, but I only managed to confuse myself. I do know we saved over $200 by switching. We'll see what happens with AP rates, because we might be able to save even more.

Kristine - I hope Jonathan is feeling better!

Jennifer - Sounds like things are progressing well!

Becky - Yikes! Have they not figured anything out about your neighbor's murder?

Glynis - Do not take your DVD to Target. There was a HUGE thread about their rigid return policies. I love Target, but not if I have a return and no receipt!


I had parent/teacher conferences last night. That went well. Still no resolution on the science papers, but after talking with the teacher I think I can see what happened.

Good morning, DDA! T minus 11 hours and counting until the arrival of the mob. The list is almost done though. All I really have to do is sweep and mop the kitchen. Mom is going to buy a new mop head this morning, though, so it should be a lot easier! Otherwise, just some grocery shopping and we're good to go. Hopefully that means I can get Terra's dress made today. Oh yeah, we're also going to go feed some chickens. "Kassie" is animal-sitting for friends at church and has to feed the cats and chickens several times this week. Well, she won't get near the chicken coop so it's actually Kristi doing it, which is apparently also quite funny. We're going to take Terra out to help today so that she can see them. The question is just how muddy will she be when we finish. Case in point....

Alan's birthday yesterday was quite good! The kids pitched in and cleaned the house up, I made his favorite meal, and we had a nice evening. We gave him a gift card to Cabela's along with some fishing gear, and I got all his Olympic pins put in a shadow box frame. It looks really good, and he was so stunned! We each had a piece of Black Forest cake, then baths for the kids and bed! Now I just have to get through the twins birthday on Friday, our families Easter egg hunt on Saturday, and Easter on Sunday. This is one week that is crammed full of activity for our family! Luckily, I'm not hosting anyone for Easter dinner, so it's just the 6 of us. We are going to have a ham with a honey glaze, hot cross buns, orange gelatin salad, whipped maple sweet potatoes, spinach salad and corn casserole. Not sure about a dessert. I'm thinking I'll pass on that this year, as I know the kids will get tons of candy in their baskets and at the egg hunt.

DS is going to a band competition next Tuesday. I guess this means I really do have to buy him black shoes. I saw some at Payless on sale for $9.99. I guess I will go get them and hope they fit. I was hoping we wouldn't have to buy any, but the band director told DS he will have to wear a tux (from the school) for the performance so he really can't wear sneakers. The competition is at another middle school. I asked DS if they are going by bus (they would have to) but he doesn't know.

OK, now it is giving me YC for $259 for 2 nts, $309 for the other 2, standard room.
BW for $359 for 2 of the nights and $409 for the other 2, water view.

Apparently there are 2 different offers - one where all the nights are the same price and one where the weekend nights are higher. Bizarre.

I would be so scared! I hope they find the person responsible soon.

I know they have sent people out of state for questioning. I have heard several theories and other information but the news is not releasing much. He was beaten to death and they are pretty sure he fought back. Who did it or might have did it I do not think they know for sure, but I think they have ideas. Since it is high profile, they want to be sure before they make accusations and are not just speculating. I do not blame them one bit for wanting to have pieced things together before they release more information.
