Just received news that I am a Great Aunt again, but need some prayers please.

Olivia Jean was born at 25 weeks & only weighs 1 pound 14 ounces. She was lifelighted to another hospital that specializes in premature babies. Good news is that as of right now she has been taken off of the ventilator & she is breathing on her own. Olivia was scored at 8 points, so this is very good as well. My niece is still at the hospital here(had a c-section)& Olivia is 45 minutes away at the other hospital.

I am so happy, yet scared at the same time!

Poor mom and baby. Were there complications? Did they know she was coming this early? I just can't imagine a baby that teeny.

Her pregnancie was high risk, but so far had been doing well. She went into labor a little after 9 last night. The baby was breach, so they had to do the c-section. They were not expecting her to arrive this early. Thanks for the PD.

Congratulations! I'm so glad she's at a place that can take care of her, and that she seems to be doing so well! I pray that she continues to grow (that really does seem like a good weight for only 25 weeks, hopefully she will keep it up!), and that mom heals quickly so she can be with her baby!

I'm still catching up, but wanted to let you know that she is in my prayers!

My best friend and I were pregnant with Jacob at the same time, and due one week apart. My Jacob was born on time, November 8, but her Jamison was born on July 23. He weighed 1 pound 14 ounces, and was so tiny, that Bryce could slide his wedding ring completely up Jamison's arm to his shoulder. We were all so worried about him! Today he is a completely normal 8 year old boy. No developmental delays, no sight or hearing problems, or anything else associated with preemie births! Keep praying. Miracles do happen, and I'll be praying for one for Olivia Jean!

I remember going to see this with my friends when it came to our theater, it was so cool!

It was my first date with my 2nd boyfriend. I was a junior in high school. We were awe struck at the time. Those of you that are younger wouldn't understand the technology that was introduced in this movie that we had never seen before.

He has taken at least 4 vicodins since getting home....he is working himself up that it is still bleeding too much...so I am not quite sure what to do

It will bleed for hours! Katrina's bled for at least 6-8 hours at least. Tell him not to worry about it. Our dentist told us to wet a tea bag and put it in there. That gave her some relief (though it didn't taste good).

Jennifer - In the car we use a power inverter, like pictured at the site below. It plugs into the cigarette lighter and then you can plug in any power cord to it. I like it because you can use it for laptop, DVD, phone charger or whatever else. I got mine at Target several years ago, but I'm sure you could find them just about anywhere. I think it was in the automotive section. It wasn't too expensive either. There are a couple of different options depending on how many plugs you need to put into it at one time.

Sil just brought over a picture of Olivia. She is tiny, but looks so healthy & has a full head of hair! I am very hopeful that in a few months she will be home

I just feel for my niece & nephew, they lost a baby in 06 & I know this is very difficult for them.

On the bright side we have a new in the family! I can't wait to see her in person & hold her in my arms.

Momboss has decided to go to the funeral by herself. Since Princess was running a fever today I think that was probably the best decision. I can't imagine flying and then going to a funeral with a sick toddler.
I am working late Wed & Thur evening, and now I will have to work on Friday. So much for switching my Dr. appt from Wed to Fri so Princess wouldn't have to come along! It's just for an injection, so we should be in and out pretty fast.

We're supposed to get some nasty weather tonight, and it is going to be rainy tomorrow. Yuck.

Home from a really fun night out with my friend. We split 2 pitchers of green beer, some mushroom appetizers, and of course corned beef/cabbage/new potatoes! Yummy! Night all.
