DDA Chapter 5

DS got his report card today. All A's except Science and Math which were B's! He got a 100% in Band, which boggles my mind since the Band director had been giving him 80's last semester.

The thing that kind of chaps me about the B in Science is that I specifically e-mailed the teacher about a zero he had on a paper. She never found it, so he re-did the paper. Then he had ANOTHER zero that I didn't e-mail about and apparently that one STAYED a zero. DS told me today it was a GROUP paper! So WTH did it GO? :headache: DS figures the person in his group with the paper never turned it in!

Now he already has a zero for one assignment this 6 weeks, I have e-mailed her about it. She told DS today she will "look for it". WHY does this keep happening? I think it is going to be mandatory that I go have a conference tomorrow and tell her I want a "chain of custody" sheet for his science papers. When he turns in an assignment I want the person who takes the paper to sign for it. At least 2 of these papers have been turned in to subs because the science teacher is out ALL the time. I really don't think it is fair for DS to have to keep re-doing papers because the teacher can't keep track of them.

Princess took a crummy nap and now she feels warm. :sad2: That's all they need is for her to get sick while they try to plan travel for the funeral.

you little devil, you ;)

I wish I could have corned beef! It is one of my favorites...one of Jonathan's too...so I didn't feel right making it without him being able to eat it. He is soooo miserable. So far, he is convinced the stitches are coming out...is in pain...still bleeding...won't relax :scared1::scared1:

I didn't wear a green thong... it was black to match my blouse! :rotfl: But I am going out with a girlfriend for a green beer tonight and some corned beef!

:cool1: I got the job!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:
It starts on August 4th, and I am thrilled. Thanks for all the PD and well wishes!

Congratulations, we knew you could do it!

I don't BUY that many pins. Really the only pins I buy are AP pins and pins from the parties like P&PP. If I am there when they release a limited edition pin that I like I will buy those. What gets expensive are those blasted "mystery" boxes where you get like 4 pins for $25 and try to collect all 10. Those are an absolute money pit, and DS LOVES them. In December he bought about 8 boxes and 4 of the 8 had the same identical pins in them! :headache: He was buying the $12 boxes with 2 pins "Good and Evil".

Isn't there a pin machine at POP that is like a vending machine?

Hope he feels better soon, I have to admit I am a total wimp when it comes to the dentist. :scared1:

I hope he feels better soon. Can you give him a beer?;)

Rees has to have oral surgery for an extra tooth in the palate of his mouth. I'm waiting until summer though.

He has taken at least 4 vicodins since getting home....he is working himself up that it is still bleeding too much...so I am not quite sure what to do

Elizabeth great job to ds on the report card!

Kristine I think the bleeding should have stopped by now. Hope he feels better soon :wizard:

Debbie there is a pin machine at Pop, I never tried it though.

Try to get him to drink a lot. It's probably the anesthetic making him anxious. He'll pee it out. :rotfl:

Kristine - :wizard: To Jonathan!

Debbie - There is a pin machine at Pop, in Epcot at Mouse Gears, at MK in the Space Mtn. shop, at MGM in the Hat, there must be one at AK somewhere. DS did the one at MK and Epcot, and I did the one at MK with Uncle2 while we waited for the brave ones to get off the coaster! :rotfl2: Those are another money pit. I heard a rumor they were taking them out - don't know if it's true but the pins had gone to GWP at DTD.

Oh the poor kid! (& poor mommy too!) Hope he starts to calm down (wow 4 vicodins should have knocked him out!) & he is feeling better. I am a wimp when it comes to this stuff too so I really sympathize with him.

Just received news that I am a Great Aunt again, but need some prayers please.

Olivia Jean was born at 25 weeks & only weighs 1 pound 14 ounces. She was lifelighted to another hospital that specializes in premature babies. Good news is that as of right now she has been taken off of the ventilator & she is breathing on her own. Olivia was scored at 8 points, so this is very good as well. My niece is still at the hospital here(had a c-section)& Olivia is 45 minutes away at the other hospital.

I am so happy, yet scared at the same time!

Wow! I hope she continues to do well!:wizard: She sounds like she is pretty big for only being 25 weeks, so maybe that's a good thing! Sister had a classmate who weighed 18 oz. at birth. She had a few health problems but was pretty healthy considering her rough start!
Lots of good wishes for Olivia, your niece, and you!!

ah the poor sweet pea...I will keep Miss Olivia and her family in my prayers. :wizard:

Sil just brought over a picture of Olivia. She is tiny, but looks so healthy & has a full head of hair! I am very hopeful that in a few months she will be home :goodvibes

I just feel for my niece & nephew, they lost a baby in 06 & I know this is very difficult for them.

On the bright side we have a new princess: in the family! I can't wait to see her in person & hold her in my arms.

Janet - Prayers for your niece. Sounds like there are some good prospects and I hope things continue to improve. :wizard:

Congrats to DS on the excellent grades!:cool1:

Give him a green beer. Maybe that will make the pain go away. Or at the least, knock him out.
