DDA Chapter 4

Gail just called and told me that she has a mouse living behind her sofa. Yikes :scared1: :scared1: I am sure there is more than one and I bet they will be here soon. :faint: :faint:

Oh, NOT good! My ex-bosses had mice.:scared: They also had a cat, but she was a huge, obese cat who liked to lounge in the sink all day.
First there was a mouse outside one day. Then there was a mouse INSIDE one night, which I had to fling out the back door like a hockey puck using the broom. Then there were mice in the pantry, eating the packets of hot chocolate and leaving little mouse poop everywhere. The pest control guy said there were tracks ALL OVER in the attic.:faint:

I would be calling a pest service in the morning!

That does seem a little crazy. I hope you can get it figured out.

My check was cashed by State Farm Bank. They then cut a check to the tax assessor and mailed it to me, so I am still out my same $33. But this deal of going to the tax office to have the vehicle re-titled is a crock! I *think* part of the problem is that I wasn't listed on the original loan, and the new loan is joint. But I don't see how this is our responsibility. :rolleyes2

In case anyone ever considers refinancing a vehicle to knock less than 2% off the interest rate I would say JUST PAY THE HIGHER INTEREST!

:scared: :crazy2: :scared: I'll check with Gail- maybe they will offer a 2 for 1 deal since we are attached.

Given the level of competence demonstrated by my insurance office thus far, I am not thinking they will be much help. I guess DH and I will be taking a field trip to the tax office (wherever THAT is) on Wednesday.

Oh and since you have off this weekend Elizabeth you need to stow away in my cousin's luggage as he is coming here for a visit. I just wish he would email and let me know when he plans on arriving and how many nights he is staying while he is here. (He can only take us for so long before the normalcy (read BORING) starts to get to him.)

Really, mice are nasty. My ex-bosses had mice in the pool house first, and the pest control guy came and put poison out to kill them. The mice went away for awhile, but then they came back to the pool house so it was just a matter of time before they got in the main house, too. I would treat both houses (yours and Gail's) immediately and aggressively, and pray no mice die inside your walls because the smell is just revolting. There was a dead mouse in the stockroom when I worked retail and I can still recall that smell.:crazy2:

Joe and I would have a big time visiting you!!
But you have mice (or you are about to) and I have to re-title my car.
Maybe next time!:rotfl2:

Oh please you can stop anytime. :crazy2: I just can't take anymore.

I will be checking with her tomorrow for sure.

Vicki I got the package in the mail today!

Good night ladies. I'm off to read for awhile, and then when my head hits the book I'll go to sleep. :)

:rotfl:

Seriously, Robyn, :wizard: for getting rid of the mice quickly and painlessly.

Thanks. Quick and painless is what I like!

See? I told you guys I was getting tired of playing the grown-up game!:lmao:

It does stink sometimes :upsidedow

Good night, Tammi! :)

Ditto!

I think I am going to work on day 4, so I will see you all tomorrow. Eric decided to take the day off tomorrow and I will still be one brother short. But I am not sure if it's a fair trade. I can't put Eric in the time out corner when he is bad ;)

Being a grown-up does stink. But not as bad as a dead mouse! :rotfl:

You should buy a naughty mat. It is better than a time-out corner. Princess loves the naughty mat, and she will spend countless hours putting her toys on the naughty mat, then taking them back off, then putting them back on. It's a bath mat I got on clearance at Target. Lucky for her I have only put her on it twice, or I think it would start to lose it's charm!

Elin - you are such a thoughtful mother. I'm sure Kathrin will enjoy the second pair of hands. But no crying on Sunday!

Kathrin was able to find a U-Haul with a bench seat so I bought 2 one-way tickets home from Boston for Kristin as well as me. This is looking to be a fun weekend, I think. But I know I will cry. When we took her to college (she lived in the dorms at Mary Washington) I cried. I didn't have any idea that I would, but I did!
