DDA Chapter 4

Any advice?

Lizzy drew a nasty picture of Joe that was anatomically correct with a nasty worded tatoo. Problem is it doesn't look like Joe as he's never been circumcised and she's never seen DH naked. SO...where did she get it?

I asked her but she insisted she's seen him. I told her that wasn't true and she said she's seen other naked boys. Where? Just out. I told her she could think about telling me the truth and I would think about her punishment is she doesn't.

I just don't know what to do.:confused3

Is it possible that she has seen Joe first thing in the morning? With his morning wood :rolleyes1 That may be the simple answer. It is what first came to mind.

We leave for Marquette next Thursday night. We fly out Friday morning at 9:30am. We are staying in a studio at OKW. I have received the shirts & earrings from Deb. The shirts are adorable. The girls are thrilled. They will be wearing them at Animal Kingdom. The smaller one is a little tight on Katrina but works. Becky hasn't tried the other one on yet but she is a little bigger boned so I think it will work out well. If not, it works on me (a little tight but I could get away with it since I'm not well endowed like the creator). :lmao: Katrina will be wearing one pair of the earrings and I'll be wearing the others.

I ordered Becky's princess dress - she got an Arwen dress (from Lord of the Rings). I ordered a pirate outfit for myself and a pirate vest for Chuck. They should arrive on Tuesday. I hope they all fit. :scared1:

It sounds like you are making progress :thumbsup2

im back from a&m. we had to leave shocker there. when we were there they said that they think shocker has a lesion on her neck. would have to operate but would get neurology to look at her because it was neurologic. neurology was in surgery at they time but er vet said it would be extensive surgery and would have to have pt afterwards. well about 10 minutes before we turned in our driveway doc called and said neuro looked at her and thinks she has Myasthenia Gravis which is a form of muscular dystrophy and I HAVE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think that is classified as cruel irony. I hope that Shocker can make a full recovery
(I hope that doesn't sound bad as I certainly don't intend it that way. It is the term that floated to my mind)

HEY!!! That's MISTER Groundhog to you non-believers!!!

Evening everyone...

Things have been a little hectic around here the past few days so I haven't had much time to myself. I've tried to keep up with you all for the sheer reason of escaping the reality of my own life. It has become abundantly clear in the last few days that I need to figure out a way to replace the income I have now from the daycare kids. Now actually making this work for my family is what boggles my mind.

It seems that we all can use a mega dose of :wizard: and 's.

And I'd love to ask for some if there is any to spare. My great aunt who will be 95 next week had a stroke on Valentine's Day, sadly it was while her husband, he is 95, was giving her a bath. She is now in the nursing home and is my grandmother's roommate. She is paralyzed on one side and it doesn't look very good. My great uncle and her are such an amazing couple- married 77 years this past August. I fear that he will not fare well if she remains in the nursing home. It is so sad that they will be now be separated in what seems like her final days.

:wizard: I'm so sorry, especially, that they have to be apart.

We did end up getting the snow and ice we were supposed to (it looked in the middle of the night (um, which is actually still now I guess), that we weren't going to. I'm not going into work until later (hopefully my 10am meeting is canceled!) but Kyle has to leave in a few hours. I am SO nervous, because the news is literally calling it "impossible" for cars to pass on any of the roads. Can't the just close the hospital? :confused3

Jennifer, hopefully there won't be a lot of people out and Kyle can have a safe trip into work. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

morning all..i have a 2hour delay today!! all the public school districts surrounding my work are closed so i am hoping our boss closes!

of course, im wide awake so here i sit!

Good morning. :)

We didn't get nearly the weather they predicted, which is usually the case here. But schools around the area are all closed, so I've decided that I don't need to be out on the roads either, and decided to stay home.

I hope everyone else hasn't been affected too badly.

oh Karen :wizard: that is quite a coindence

Karen, I hope the Dr. can help Shocker! :wizard:

Robyn, :wizard:  :wizard:  I am sorry things are so stressful! I don't think I could handle kids in my house every day. I hope you are able to figure out another solution that works for your family!!
How sad for your great aunt & uncle! :guilty:

All of the preschools here close if the elementaries are delayed. :wizard: Here's hoping for a snow day for you!!

Princess and I have no plans today. It is chilly out there so whatever we do will be inside! Have a great day, all! It is FRIDAY!!! (And I only have to work 2 days next week! )

Robyn - I'm very sorry to hear about your aunt and uncle. Is there a possibility that they could live in a nursing home or assisted living center together?

snow day!!!!

I cant sleep but im just thrilled its a 3 day weekend!

enjoy the long weekend, Jen!!

Good morning. :)

Too bad we don't live just a little closer... we could have lunch together today. :)

I hope your meeting is canceled and that Kyle's trip into the hospital was incident-free, Jennifer.

Karen -- I'm so sorry -- sending prayers that they get a true diagnosis.

I hope you find a solution for your income. I'm going through burn-out with my job (which cycles around continuously since I've been here 20 years) and wishing I didn't have to work so many hours. There's simply nothing I can do about it now, as the tuition for the boys won't allow flexibility. Andrew and Jake's ability to function well with their learning problems is what keeps me going, but I don't have to always like how we manage the financial part of affording the education.

PD to your great Aunt and Uncle. That's a tough situation. It's amazing they lived at home together for that long. What a wonderful love story.

snow day!!!!

I cant sleep but im just thrilled its a 3 day weekend!

Congrats -- have fun!

Enjoy your day at home. :)

Well, the house wasn't too bad when I got home yesterday. They didn't make as much progress as I would have liked on cleaning out the toy room, but maybe they will today. I have conferences for both of them in an hour or so. Jake can't be at his, and Andrew is required to attend his. I'll meet Randy and Andrew at the school.

We were going to go to the Johnson hill country house in San Saba this weekend. (Tiny house built by Randy and his siblings many years ago on family land which is out in the middle of nowhere) but Andrew's baseball practice was moved to Saturday because of bad weather yesterday, so hopefully I'll get a lot more done de-cluttering this weekend. Have a good day everyone!

Sending PD to all those who need it!

Kathrin has a number of items that we lent her when she moved into her first apartment. She has no need for many of them now and is trying to pare down what she moves to Boston. Bob and I were supposed to pick up a cargo van at Enterprise this morning so that we could go to Richmond on Sunday morning and bring those things home. I sure hope that it warms up a bit today or that is not going to happen, I fear!

Karen sorry to hear about Shocker

Robyn I hope you are able to figure out some alternative to the daycare. Sounds like it has been getting to you lately  Sorry to hear about your Aunt

Jen & Tammi, yea for a snow day! We did get snow yesterday & the plows are out now, but we do have school :thumbsup2

Bernadette that is a tough situation with your daughter. I agree with Elizabeth, hopefully she will open up & talk to you about it :wizard:

Terry glad all went well at the Dr. I hate to admit this but I have never experienced the "mash & bash". I know I need to make the appointment, I just always forget about it.

I know I have missed a few, & :wizard: to all!

Kyle got in safely, thanks! It took him quite a while, but he's there. He's on-call today too, so he won't have to drive back home until after 9pm, and everything will be clear then. My meeting is still on, but it's nothing stressful, and it's the only thing important I have going on today. I think I'm going to go in soon (taking back roads, since everything else is closed all over!), but it should be a somewhat relaxing work day if I get to stay in the empty building instead of going into my office! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you got your snow day! Our preschools and daycares around here don't really close (except ours, on occasion, since they all come in with EMS transportation and that's a) too much of a liability and b) too hard on the EMS crews when they are needed elsewhere in weather like this).

I hope you all have a good day .... stay warm! :goodvibes

I don't think that is supposed to happen, unfortunately. But I will keep my fingers crossed for you. :wizard:

We didn't get any of the 1-3" of snow they predicted, but did have a combination of sleet and freezing rain.
