So I crunched some numbers for May.
First you've got to understand Emma is my picky one! So I'm limited to any place that has chicken fingers/nuggets and hot dogs. She won't eat Disney mac & cheese, won't eat grilled cheese that isn't made at home with Velveeta cheese, won't eat pizza or Disney's new healty pasta (won't eat sauce so she doesn't like the look of Disney's pasta).
So I ran the numbers considering the following TS meals:
Crystal Palace breakfast
Tusker House breakfast
Cape May breakfast
Garden Grill dinner
Sci Fi lunch
Chef Mickey's breakfast.
If I assume each CS is worth $10 and each snack is worth $2.50 then those features are worth $150 for 6 nights. The
DDP will cost me $287.88 for the 6 nights. With the meals above the DDP will save me $56.52 but typing this I realized that I forgot to figure in the meals tax so I would save even more. When I compare those same places to using DDE the savings for the meal plan is only $18 but again I forgot to figure in the meals tax so I would save even more.
I also figure out what it would be if I substituted 2 of the 1 credit meals with California Grill and the savings would drop to about $13.
If I could get a lunch at LeCellier I would save about $69 over DDP and about $27 over DDE.
I guess I should go back and figure out the meals tax thing but I honestly wasn't planning on doing that many TS meals with Emma. I don't know if that would improve our trip to have a few set meals or if it would just stress me more wondering what/if she would eat. CS might be easier.
ETA: I went back and added 6.5% sales tax is that right????
The savings of DDP over its cost would be between $60 and $80. The savings of DDP over DDE would be between $22 and $36.
Anyone have any opinions on my estimate of CS meals? I think my snack estimate is a bit too low.
