DDA Chapter 4

Wish me luck this morning.... I'm singing in 2 church services, a song that would ordinarily be one that I love. It's soulful, belty (so not a word), lots of fun....

I just think it might be a bit ambitious given that I am short of breath just doing nothing, about 80% of the time! :rotfl:

Ironically though, the singer of this song had twin girls not too long ago. I'm sure she just sucked it up and modified it a bit... I'm hoping that happens, and nothing more embarrassing! :rotfl:
So what song is it?

I have never eaten at B&C, with all the praise maybe I should add that to our Aug. list or maybe I could try it in May or maybe go both times :rotfl:

What is the best time to go to beat the rush beings there is limited seating? I have a habit of waiting till I am to hungry sometimes & ready to pass out
I plan on going somewhere between 2 and 4, after the lunch crowd and before dinner. They have booths, tables and counter stools.

I haven't picked. I'm just writing them all down. I'll make sure these are on the list. I remember seeing Sunshine a couple of times and I think Deb told me about ESPN but I'll make sure. Thanks!
Sunshine is nice because they have a wide variety to choose from, and LOTS of desserts!

Congratulations Jennifer, DH and I both were hoping for a boy when our youngest was born, as we had already deided that we were only going to have the two. I had a tubal after my C-section so the decision was final and at one point I doubted the decision. It turned out to be great, and then years later we got our boy, a grandson. And grandchildren really are great, we spoil him rotten, play and have a great time, and then he goes home and his parents are responsible for the discipline. He is really into wrestling so we bought tickets to ECW Smackdown next month, that should be interresting.

All this twin talk reminds me of another twin story that really cracked us up around here. My daughter's friend has a set of twin sister's that are quite a bit younger than him, they are so identical that even their own family have a hard time telling them apart. Courtney and Alyssa are as cute as can be, well, one day DD was at their house and they were all swimming in the pool, the twins had gotten into an argument and were hitting each other with their fun noodles, all the time calling each other "ugly _itch", the thought of them looking at their mirror image and calling each other ugly was just too funny. Of course if mom or dad had heard the language they would have both been in trouble. :rotfl:
That is funny!

I'm glad you are feeling ok. :goodvibes

Marci, yes, he is no better. We did taste tests tonight, and he could not taste sweet, salty, or bitter. He barely detected the sour (lemon juice). He can smell everything. We've done blindfold tests, and he can tell me what it all is. I gave him a HUGE tablespoon of unsweetened chocolate (just gross), and he thought it was just powder. He is not eating much at all as nothing has any taste. I don't want to eat in front of him cause I feel guilty. It's been 4 weeks now, and he has not been sick, he doesn't take any meds, nothing new in our environment, etc. They are fairly sure it's neurological, but what and why? I just hope it comes back as I could see huge issues. It's also dangerous. He drank a HUGE glass of fermented blue gatorade and had no idea it was bad. YUCK!

I'm so sorry! Sending lots of prayers!

Hi all,

There's no way I can get caught up tonight, or this weekend, but I wanted to let you know we're finally safe in Huron.

A nasty vomiting bug traveled through 3/4 of my household starting with Alyssa at 2 a.m. on 2/15, Matthew at 5 a.m. on 2/15 and finally me, around 9 a.m. on 2/15. I'm still not convinced Kevin is in the clear, but for whatever reason, he's still been spared. We had to delay our trip a bit, but we all seem much better, and we'll make the most of the two days we're here.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend...I'll try my best to catch up on Tuesday!

Amy :)

Amy -- I hope that Kevin is still in the clear. Have fun on your trip.

Do they turn red with anger? :rotfl:

My Dad has the prettiest blue eyes, and he never gets angry, except for something work-related. When that happens, his eyes turn green and we know we'd better step away.

Tia -- great pics of the party. You did a fabulous job!

I better get off and get ready for Church. After flooding yesterday, we have blue skies and sun today, though it's a little windy.

Have a good day, DDA!

We opted not to find out the sex of our children. So when Nicholas was born there was a teeny tiny bit of disappointed that he wasn't a girl, that lasted only about 10 seconds. Then I was just elated with him finally being born. When Alyssa was born I cried tears of joy because I had one of each, my family was complete. Little did I know dealing with a girl was going to be so difficult!

I wanted a girl. We did find out that DS was a boy at the ultrasound, so at least I had time to get used to the idea and decorate his nursery and buy him some clothes. We knew we were only having one, so whatever we got was all we would ever have!

Princess is my 3rd girl - the other 5 (including DS) have all been boys. I love girls, but when they get to be a little older I think they are harder to deal with. On the other hand, Sister was a snot because her parents ALLOWED that behavior. One of the boys I had before her was that way, too, because his mother allowed him to be disrespectful and rude. Princess is still little enough that she is just cute and funny. I also don't think she will be exposed to a lot of inappropriate TV to fuel bad behavior when she is 4 or 5. Her parents are very serious about not letting her get started on bad habits that will come back to bite us in a couple of years. DS is a snot because he is 12. He isn't always a snot, though. :)

I have been trying to catch up & read along. Sorry if I missed anyone!!!

And now for the party run-down!

The birthday girl...

Wow! You did a great job!!!! Love the cake & Terra looks thrilled!!!:thumbsup2

Becky is on her way home. I'm almost falling asleep in my chair. I want to be in bed! However, I told her I would see her when she got home. I've been gone for 5 days and she usually likes to get a hug when I return. We'll chat tomorrow.
Awwww...That is sweet.

I have never eaten at B&C, with all the praise maybe I should add that to our Aug. list or maybe I could try it in May or maybe go both times :rotfl:

What????? You HAVE to go!!! So yummy! Between lunch & dinner is a good time to go. Even late night was o.k. I think we were there at 10pm & the wait was 5-10 minutes. If I remember correctly they ae open til 11pm.

Amy,
:wizard: for getting better soon!

Denise,
Prayers & :wizard: for John. Hope they can find out what is causing it.
Good luck with the neighbors. I think you did the best you can. I try to teach my kids from an early age that not everyone is their friend just because they live on the same block. We have some nice kids here & we have some "users".

Jennifer,

Anne Marie - Are you sort of done with August? Do you know what you want to book?

Well yes & no!

Two things are holding me up.

First TGM does not have his best days chart out yet (which is why I pay for the service, but I digress) Since I know his methodology I have made some educated guesses however I would like his "professional" opinion.

Second, with the possibility of P&PP's but not yet announced or confirmed, I am trying to make my ADR's based on what they did last year. If there isn't any parties it changes my days.

Also my friend from NY will be there for the 2nd week we are planning some park days/meals together.

Bernadette & I are working on planning a lunch or dinner together & possibly a Wishes Cruise which would be great!!

Right now I have on my list.
Le Cellier
Liberty Tree
Beirgarten
Crystal Palace
Brown Derby
Rose & Crown
Cape May B
Plaza
Akershus
Sci Fi
50's PT
Coral Reef
Chef Mickeys
Ohana
Donalds B at AK
Boma

I went to airtran, but Allentown is not listed as one of the airports on the list for the code.

Anne Marie - Oh, my! That's quite a list! Good luck getting everything sorted out! I don't know what to think about P&PP. I would imagine people would be irate if they planned to go to MK on an evening where the current hours list an 11 PM closing and then they change it to 7 PM!:scared: But we all know they mess with the hours up until about a week before anyway. The only way my ADRs will change is if they come out with some AMAZING offer for DDP.

We usually try to go for an early lunch after doing Epcot morning EMH. I think they open at 11 a.m.

I was also there for lunch one time during the late afternoon (3:30'ish). We ended up eating at the counter, only because there were 2 huge groups in there that were taking up almost all the tables. That can happen at any time, I guess.

You should really go! It is a great spot! :thumbsup2

She is such a cutie. :goodvibes
And what a lovely outfit.

Ditto! :thumbsup2

When DS got his Wii for Christmas I had to take all of the framed photos off of the entertainment center so DH could get behind it and hook everything up. I JUST put all of the photos back.:rolleyes1 I replaced an older photo of DS with his new band photo, dusted all the frames, and managed to fit everything back up there. And it took less than 2 months to get around to it! Still haven't started on that pesky laundry.

Good luck, Jennifer! I could hardly sing at all as my pregnancies progressed. No support at all with those little ones sitting down there pushing up on my diaphragm! :rotfl:

My pregnancy with Cassidy was when I became a second alto:lmao:

For some reason I can still get down that far and up to most 1st sop notes....I guess I could thank Cassidy for my range.;) :rotfl2:

15 pages to catch up on!!!:scared1:

Tia-that had to be the best Woody & Buzz party I've ever seen!! Love the plates!!!So creative

Deb-you are just so handy. Congrats on the canopy being done...one more thing checked off your list.

Elin & Lindsay-yummy sounding dinners...I had a baked potato last night.:rotfl:

Vicki-I hope you get all you need to get done so that work doesn't impede on your vacation!!

Tom-Leighanna is absolutely adorable....hope you are giving a ton of auntie hugs back!!:lovestruc

Jennifer-through what I remembered in science class (love genetics) I knew that our girls were going to be blond when little....and darken as they got older. I did figure we would have 2 taller kids so Cassidy hitting 5'3" if we add 1/4 inch was a bit surprising but we do keep apologizing to her because that seems to be from 2 grandmas. :rotfl2: We didn't find out what we were having because we like the surprise but I truly didn't care what we had but at one point while pregnant with Abi, I was convinced Cassidy was wrong (remember she told me she was going to get a baby sister for her birthday) I was a little disappointed in myself for being bummed for about 10 minutes. We never had to worry about a boy to pass on Jim's last name as there are a TON of them around. :rotfl2:

Robyn-hope you enjoyed sleeping in!!

Tammi-I hope you get your flights booked!!

Debbie-how are you feeling??

Jen-sounds like a good movie!!

Hugs and prayers to all those I missed....I really need to get multi quote down!!

Hi, everyone. boys have their Cub Scout meeting here in 40 minutes and BK and I have to go pick up her 175 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I have NO voice today at all (which John is loving) and feel cruddy (TOM is here too and NOT helping). We are supposed to have violent thunderstorms later this afternoon. I probably won't be back on today as we're having movie night tonight and watching Snow Buddies. Have a great day.

Your list looks great! I've eaten at all but two of them. TGM frustrates me from time to time as well. Of course, the bigger problem for us is that the school hasn't released the schedule for next year yet, so I can't do anything about our long weekend to do MNSSHP yet. Maybe I should have held the school contracts with the deposits until they release the schedule. NOT! But it's nice to dream...:rolleyes1
