I think that's the C-line, but could also be close to the D-line depending on which side of the main road. Very nice area and not a bad spot for boarding. The train gets a little crowded as it approaches the merging point in Kenmore Sq, but her area should be good. Definitely a mama-mind-easing area to be. Very nice, lots of upscale houses. My exes parents used to live not far from there and it is just beautiful. Nice mixture of long-time residents, grad students and young professionals in that area.

Thanks, Tia... :goodvibes And her description of the area matches yours. I think she did say she had a choice of two different "T" lines. one has a lot of the college kids and the other does not.

She is within walking distance of a grocery store and a CVS so that is also good to know.

Game time! We didn't get pictures of the Snake in the Boot game and I forgot to make the Pin the Mustache on Mr. Potato Head game. I thought of it half-way through the party, but luckily they kept busy and happy.

it all looks wonderful, Tia... I know Terra loved it. You went to a lot of trouble to make the party one she will remember.

I have to ask, though... are Woody and Jesse in bed together?!?!

And a great wine shop! (Assuming that it hasn't moved.) It's in Coolidge Corner. There are also tons of great restaurants, an art house movie theater and a bunch of other great things. The ice cream shop on Harvard Ave near Coolidge Corner is wonderful. There's also a Barnes and Noble there. Plenty of great shops too.

Finished up with some impromptu dressing up...

Hi all,

There's no way I can get caught up tonight, or this weekend, but I wanted to let you know we're finally safe in Huron.

A nasty vomiting bug traveled through 3/4 of my household starting with Alyssa at 2 a.m. on 2/15, Matthew at 5 a.m. on 2/15 and finally me, around 9 a.m. on 2/15. I'm still not convinced Kevin is in the clear, but for whatever reason, he's still been spared. We had to delay our trip a bit, but we all seem much better, and we'll make the most of the two days we're here.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend...I'll try my best to catch up on Tuesday!

Amy :)

That's what my sister asked, but Terra insisted that's where they each needed to be. :rotfl:

Denise I do hope the Dr's find the problem soon :wizard:

Marci, yes, he is no better. We did taste tests tonight, and he could not taste sweet, salty, or bitter. He barely detected the sour (lemon juice). He can smell everything. We've done blindfold tests, and he can tell me what it all is. I gave him a HUGE tablespoon of unsweetened chocolate (just gross), and he thought it was just powder. He is not eating much at all as nothing has any taste. I don't want to eat in front of him cause I feel guilty. It's been 4 weeks now, and he has not been sick, he doesn't take any meds, nothing new in our environment, etc. They are fairly sure it's neurological, but what and why? I just hope it comes back as I could see huge issues. It's also dangerous. He drank a HUGE glass of fermented blue gatorade and had no idea it was bad. YUCK!

She mentioned Coolidge Corner today too.

I didn't even think about it being dangerous! I hope they find out something soon.

Ok, I'm in need of all your favorite CS or cheaper TS locations. We are trying to plan some places to eat in June if we can talk my sister into eating out. We are doing CRT for breakfast one day. We'll probably do Ohana for dinner one night for the ambience. We are trying to avoid the family style or buffets because of the cost.

I agree with everyone else. My 1st thought for a cheap TS was Beaches & Cream. The Plaza at the MK is also pretty inexpensive.

As for CS, we like Columbia Harbor House & Pecos Bill in the MK; Sunshine Seasons and the Kringla Bakery (Norway) in Epcot; Flame Tree Barbeque in the AK. We don't really have any favorites in the Studios. Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich are good options in DTD.

We also like the Beach Club Marketplace - the selection is limited, but the food is good, and the gelato is fabulous! We also like Artist's Palette at SSR - have some good flatbreads and paninis. I had some decent meals at Captain Cook's at the Poly, too. I hear Picabu at the Swan/Dolphin is also supposed to be good, but haven't eaten there yet.

The Spoodles pizza window in the Boardwalk is also not a bad option.

I'll let you know if I think of others.

Since Lindsay did a mini food review I will do the same before I head off to bed. This was a prix fixe meal tonight and the cost was $50. It included an appetizer, a soup or salad, an entree, dessert and a beverage (tea, coffee, soft drink).

Appetizers were: warm artichoke, sundried tomatoe and goat cheese dip with coriander dusted pita chips; baked mussels with almond breadcrumb stuffing with a lemon aioli or skirt steak with a balsamic reduction and gorgonzola. Soup was asparagus and lime and the salad was a lettuce wedge with cracked pepper bacon and crumbled gorgonzola. Entrees: Chicken breast stuffed with almonds and apples, served with a pancetta and roasted tomato cream sauce; peppercorn encrusted NY strip with a cognac sauce reduction; and pistaschio encrusted Mahi-Mahi with honey pistaschio butter. Dessert: marble crumb cake with vanilla bean ice cream or deep fried cheesecake dipped in Belgian chocolate.

It was really an outstanding meal. Service was not up to the level of the meal but they are working on that. All in all, a very pleasant evening!

That sounds delicious! Did you take home a menu, or did you do that from memory?!

Hmmm, that sounds nice. Too bad I couldn't find a place for a massage at 9:30 on a Sat night. (Well, I probably could, but I'm not sure I'd want that massage.) I'm hoping to escape for a few minutes here in a minute. Get a few minutes of peace after a hectic couple of days.

Tia - how was the party?????

ESPN club. Great food, huge portions and reasonable prices :thumbsup2

We also like Pecos Bills, ABC Commisary, Flame Tree BBQ, Electric Umbrella, Trails End, Earl of Sandwich.

And now for the party run-down!

Yuck! Not you guys too. I hope that you all are doing better now and that Kevin dodges the bullet. Enjoy your trip and safe travels home.

I did most of it by memory but had to go back to the menu Bob secreted in his jacket pocket to see what the sauces were on two of the selections. Remember, this is ME you are asking.... it has to do with FOOD! :rotfl:

Tia - how was the party?????

It was great! I feel very good about everything we put together for it, especially since it was her first "real" party outside of family parties. She had a great time and the kids seemed to also. Her friend Sarah asked if they could have a sleepover sometime and Danae asked if she could come play again next week. :cloud9: It makes me feel so good for her to have some friends her own age again!

time for meds and bed... see you all tomorrow! :)
