Finally caught up!
What a great day i had! the massage was amazing and i hope to be able to get another one soon
Then, 5 of us went out to lunch and actually stayed in the diner for over 2 hours chatting and eating slowly--we had a blast!
after, 2 of us went to see "Definitely, Maybe"

Now im home and exhausted--but relaxed!

Sounds like a great time. It has been so long since I've had a massage. I think I might need to book one soon.

Thanks for all the congratulations for Jonathan! He's very fortunate to get this opportunity, but worked really hard, too!

I am so full. Our dinner was really good! I was a bit worried that Jonathan had hyped it way too much, but I should have known better. I had a buffalo filet which was probably the best, most flavorful, tender piece of meat I have had in a VERY long time. They also had these venison wrap things that were very yummy, too! I ended up bringing half the steak home with me, as well as about 1/2 of our order of gouda mac-and-cheese. Someone will enjoy that tomorrow!

All this talk of genetics and eye color is very interesting! As adults, my brother and I now look nothing alike, but we looked very much alike in coloring and features as children. My brother is almost the spitting image of my maternal grandfather, while I have my mom's coloring, but the rest of me is my dad.

Jonathan and his older brother have similar facial features, but his middle brother looks absolutely nothing like the rest of his family. My brother and I are both of above-average height (as are my parents), but Jonathan is the tallest of his family at 6'4" - I'm taller than his middle brother, and almost taller than his dad! His paternal grandfather was about 4'10"!

It will be interesting to see what happens with any kids we're fortunate enough to bring into the world. There are a lot of good things, and then not so good things, they could inherit! I have green eyes (for the most part), while Jonathan has hazel.

Glad you had a good day, Jen! I am getting my first massage at this new spa on Monday, and I'm very excited!

What did you think of the movie? I think it looks cute. Our local paper gave it a D.

You are going to love it, i am sure! The teachers i work with want to try to get a massage every few months--i could get used to that!

I thought hte movie was cute--typical chick flick which are always good! we both liked it--corny at parts, but thats what chick flicks are for!

Kathrin has a new apartment. It is in Brookline, MA and right on the "T" so transportation is not a problem at all. One of her roommates is a third year medical student and the other is the owner of a "hedge funds" company. She met the med student... the businesswoman is in Ireland on vacation this week. She is very pleased with the situation since it is a sublet that will be done in September. She can continue there or move onto something else if necessary.

Our dinner was amazing and I am not feeling too badly tonight. I must say I am looking forward to my shot of Nyquil in a few minutes. I ought to sleep like a baby since Kristin and I split a bottle of wine at dinner!

Our flight arriving is later in the afternoon & the one leaving is early in the morning But I have no layovers

Hi Ya'll,

I went to the Dr yesterday and got some meds. Yeah the flu bug got me. Spent all night coughing. Hope this goes away soon. I want to be able to watch two of my grandsons on Thursday.

Well, as Elizabeth eluded to, our weather in Big D today is certainly not ideal. Cold and VERY rainy. My body seems to automatically wake up now at 5:30, and I laid awake for almost an hour watching the lightning storm and listening to the rain. We do need the rain, so I guess there will be something good to come of it. The weatherman was predicting hail and strong winds for this afternoon last night, but right now, it's just kind of drizzly.

We also found out last night that Jonathan got a big work assignment he was going for. It's a pretty big deal as far as company-wide exposure and advancement goes, and they only select one person nation-wide to do it. I'm very proud of him, although it means I won't see a lot of him for the next month or two!

Congrats to Jonathan -- that is terrific news! I was out in that weather most of the day -- just really gross! One of my last errands was to return something at NorthPark, but I couldn't find a parking place over in the underground parking by Dillards/or their parking garage, or the valet I usually go to. At that point, I decided the mall was way too crowded even if I did find a valet not full, and drove home.

I'm glad to hear dinner was good.

Nicholas is now a black belt!!!!!

Jennifer & Kyle -- congratulations! You know, the shopping spree should have been a big of a hint, as girl clothes are so much cuter than boy ones. I'm always buying something for my nieces.

Randy and I both have bright blue eyes, yet Jake is the only one that has similar ones. Andrew's go between green and blue. Randy said that they are like the color his father's were. I think that makes him happy, as they don't have a lot of the Johnson tendencies, other than being pretty skinny. (and that ends after college..)

Denise -- it sounds like you were more than fair in the talk with the neighbor, and that you'll have to keep on your toes with the mom and kids. I'm glad you feel better about it. How is John feeling -- same symptoms? I've been sending prayers and will continue to do so!

I told them that my shoulders are where i really feel tension and made them aware of my neck surgeries--she spent alot of time on my neck--it felt good, but now theres one spot that kinda hurts--still worth it! haha
