DDA Chapter 3

Well, my eyes are tired from looking for Toy Story clipart. I think that I have enough to design the things I need. Plus, the ink arrived today so that I can finally print. Maybe we'll get there after all.

Good night, DDA....

:thumbsup2 Sounds like a great plan :thumbsup2

Isn't it funny how we all tend to run in the same cycles. We must be in the organization/homemaker cycle now. This is good news as I can use all the motivation that I can get.

It's funny how it seems to work that way, but I agree, it can be a big help in the motivation department.

It's been quiet here tonight....I am waiting for the fire to go down and then I am headed off too.

Hope everybody's day starts off on the right foot!!:goodvibes

Hi, DDA!

Just popping in really quickly - I'm actually in Anne Marie's neck of the woods (NYC) today/tonight, but leaving to come back home in the morning. It was a whirlwind trip for work, and I must say, I enjoy NYC much more as a tourist vs. a professional trying to get some work done!

(I can also testify to the fact that the Sheraton New York Towers is a cr*&ppy hotel. Don't ever stay here!!!)

From what I can remember:

:wizard: :wizard: for your dad, Tammi. My dad had this procedure done a couple of years ago, and while it was a bit worrisome at the time, all has been well (knock on wood). I hope your father has similar success!

Elin - yay for Kathrin's new job! I was speaking with a partner from the Boston office tonight for a long time about the city, and thought of her. Also reminds me that I miss Boston since I haven't been in a few years!

I'm so glad to hear that the DDA family made it through last night's storms okay. This weather is so wild - it was much colder in Dallas when I left this morning that it has been this entire time in NYC!

Elizabeth - congrats to DS! So sorry about the locker fiasco!

Bernadette - yay for a good stroller purchase!

Deb and Vicki - good luck with all of your projects! I've been thinking something similar lately - I need to limit my DIS time, as I just see hours getting eaten up by it! I could definitely stand to use those hours elsewhere, unfortunately!

Amy - that package sounds delicious! I see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

Anne Marie - Hairspray sounded like a lot of fun, and what a great way to spend time with Katie. I assume she's feeling better - glad to hear it! Wish I were in NY longer, so we maybe could have met up!

Tia - good luck with the b-day prep!

Paula and Denise - it was good to see you both posting!

Theresa - I'm very jealous that you guys got Scott, but not terribly surprised, as his mother wanted him to go to CU to be with his "uncle." And we all know when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! To answer your question, we probably won't be traveling to the CU/UT game, but I'll keep you posted if that should change. We'll have a ton of home games next season, and my parents unfortunately did not have a pleasant experience when they were up there for a game a few years back. CU fans don't have the best reputation!

Well, my eyes are blurring, and I need to be up early tomorrow to climb on a plane back to Dallas. My knee is also killing me, as when I was hauling my suitcase up the entrance stairs to the hotel, my heel got caught in my pant cuff, and my knee broke my fall on the concrete steps. I'm afraid after running around/standing on it for the last 8 hours that it is going to be a balloon tomorrow!

Good night, DDA!

And good morning to the early risers!!!!!

TGM.

Also there is a thread (waiting for P&PP) on the theme park board where people are already buying their tickets. I can't believe its not on Disney's site yet but they are selling tickets for those dates.
I can't say that I'm surprised it not the WDW site. Maybe there is still hope for you since the park hours would suggest a party during your dates.

This is where she said it came from a Disney rep.
Thanks! I'm surprised she hasn't taken them off photobucket A letter from Disney legal would get my attention!

Bernadette- Whoo hoo for a fabulous stroller!!!
Thanks! I'm glad Bethie's shots are going well.

I swear DS goes to a school where the inmates run the asylum.
I have to agree!

Is she the one that made the passports? I wondered about those. That is the only thing that I can think of that would have singled any one person out.
No-that was Pat.

Bernadette hope you are feeling better :wizard:

I am so tired of snow! The boys have been doing good at keeping our drive shoveled, but I had to have it plowed today. I still can't get up all the way because of the ice that was underneath the snow :headache: I don't want a repeat of last year, so I put some bricks behind my tires. Hopefully my truck will not go anywhere.
Thanks! Hope spring comes quick for you!

Is Everyone sitting down?

We got to go snowboarding tonight :rotfl:

The weather cleared up just in time and we had a wonderful night. The conditions were perfect as we had warmer temperatures and freshish snow. Colby is getting the hang of it and Nick and Hunter were able to use the lift again. I took one run on my new skis. They are a different and it took a while to get the hang of it, but I think they will be nice. Chris took a couple of runs and All in all we had a great time.
Yay! Glad everyone had fun!

Bernadette, feel better!
Thanks!

I haven't started my eating healthy plan yet but that starts this week-end (if not sooner). I have some major things at work that are stressing me so I'm not sure if I will start sooner. However, I have to start by this week-end. I'm not going to fit in my shorts for our trip otherwise.

My shirt still isn't finished. I put it away the other night because I was depressed that it washed me out. I will get that finished by this week-end and will start another.

I am slowly cleaning out the two boxes of paper that is left to organize. My office looks fantastic. I want to spend more time down there because it feels like an office/craft room now.

I was getting behind at work so have been putting a lot of time into getting caught back up. I'm making a huge dent in that. Once that gets caught up, my life should settle down.

Katrina is going to bring her scrapbooking stuff home after this week-end so I'm hoping we'll be able to start scrapbooking together.

Chuck wants to start exercising so I plan on starting that this week-end as well.
Sounds like you're making great progress. Hope work becomes less stressful for you!

i am headed to bed---tomorrow is a long day! i have a 2 hour meeting after work--ugh!
Good luck!

Bernadette - yay for a good stroller purchase!
Thanks! Maybe you could see it.;)

Safe travels home!

I couldn't sleep so I got up to fight with Photopass. I wonder if Robyn has any hair left. That sight is so frustrating! They now have all the character borders available for all your photos and I've discovered they look cute on some of the Castle photos so I've been adding a few of those. My photos expire soon so this torture will come to an end if I want it to or not.:lmao:

I still feel lousy. I don't see how I can go to work since I hardly slept at all and I really don't think anyone wants me around. I guess I should try to go back to bed.

Good morning :)

Lindsay I hope your knee is not to bad today!

EMH's for August are up now. Only a few are different from July's, but we will get one night of the MK being open till 3am :cool1: I have a breakfast ADR's for the next morning, I might have to switch that one :rotfl:

My order arrived from Disney Shopping yesterday. Among other things I ordered us all POC t-shirts in hopes of going to a party in August. Oh well we will still wear them.

Good morning, DDA! I have some things to finish up for preschool this morning, so I can't stick around.

I think that I may be trying to do what Deb and Vicki are doing as well, so I may be a little more limited on computer time. I don't have much willpower, though, so we'll see...

Does anyone have any thoughts on the first week in August in WDW? We enjoyed our end of August trip, but I'm worried about the crowds earlier in the month. I'm still not sure what we are doing this summer, but we need to make a decision soon!

Have a great day!

Good morning DDA!

Only 2 more days of getting up at 6 AM for ADRs!! :cool1: The only one I needed this morning was Le Cellier, but woe to the person who fools around making that one!:scared:

Lindsay - Safe travels! I hope your knee is not too sore! :wizard:

Bernadette - I am sorry you still don't feel well! :guilty: Maybe a day off would be good.

Janet - With all the back and forth they did with this current round of parties there is no telling what they might do in August! But pirate shirts are always good, party or no party. ;)

I am TRYING to get motivated on the healthy eating front but it is HARD. I'm doing OK drinking water, but I have such bad habits otherwise that the water isn't helping! :rotfl:

Princess has gymnastics today and that's all we have planned. Chat with you guys later!

I think you should join us!

In 2006 we went Aug. 2-12, and last year we went Aug. 14-23. I can't tell much difference between crowds no matter what, but I don't think there is THAT much difference. It does look like they expect the first week to be a little more crowded than the second week. Like Janet pointed out, PM EMH at MK runs until 3 AM!:scared1: But other than 8/1 crowds are estimated at 7s & 8s. The second week is 6's & 7's.

Bernadette - I as hoping you would feel better this morning.

Lindsay - travel safely today. I hope your knee doesn't give you too much trouble. As for missing Boston... maybe we WILL have to plan a DDA meet there! We have DDA family there and it also sounds like those of you not in the area would consider it a good location too. :)

Elizabeth - I am also short on willpower this winter for some reason. I have not gained any weight, but I can't seem to get motivated to lose any more either. I don't know what the difference is this time around, but I would really like to take off another 50 pounds. If you find that dose of willpower can you clone it and send some my way? ;)

Lindsay -- safe travels! I hope your knee isn't as bad as you feared.

Elizabeth -- I bet Dadboss learned a lesson with the keys -- don't put them anywhere where Princess can reach them. Momboss had better watch her jewelry as well. I remember my sister took a ring of my mother's when she was little. Mom found it in one of Jennifer's play purses a few months later...

Paula -- good to see you -- I don't have any experience with that company. I hope you find something to help with the trip!

I'm having a terrible time with a bladder/kidney infection. I thought I had one, but kept putting off going to the doctor, until I started running a fever and could barely walk. What was I thinking? Obviously I wasn't... time spent earlier would have made me feel better and much more productive then I was yesterday... I was watching the clock until the babysitter dropped the boys off at my office. Today is a little better -- no fever, but I do still feel lousy. And today is my late day -- 6:30 - 4:45 or so.... I guess I'd better get busy.

Have a good one, DDA! :)

I can give you 2 good reasons, Elizabeth & myself will be there! If you go the 2cd week there are 5 good reasons: Elizabeth, Jennifer, Tammi, Bernadette, & myself :thumbsup2

Good morning, DDA! One benefit of so many of us limiting computer time is that I get caught up a lot more quickly. ;)

Lindsay - Have a safe trip home! Can you PM me with the name of the firm yours merged with? Since you've mentioned NYC and Boston since the merger, I'm curious.

Elizabeth - that the ADR process is almost complete. Well, the early-rising version anyway. ;) I hope that you're getting exactly what you want. Good luck finding that willpower. I find it hard to get started, but then seem to do well for awhile. I'm just hoping to find the staying power this time.

Bernadette - Feel better! I agree, I think that you should just stay home today. Get some rest and take care of yourself today.

Oh, I so know your pain. I hope that you are feeling better soon! Take care of yourself. :wizard: :grouphug:
