I'm on the phone now chatting with Bob and we are discussing the possibility of him coming in Aug. We are even talking about driving! ACK!
We are driving in August . Ack ack!!!!![]()

No driving!2 days in the car on each end of the trip would send me over the edge! If we lived within 12 hours or so I would consider it, but from here it is just too far.
It's 822 miles from here. So we could do like Robyn did....drive for 8-10 hours, sleep and be fresh for our first day at the park.
Robyn - do you have any idea about how much you paid for gas? What hotel did you stay at and in what city? Was the cost reasonable? I'm preparing my Color Coded Matrix of Costs.![]()
When we drove last (2003) it took us 17 hours to get there & 20 to come home...
I am glad I can be helpful!Nothing wrong with some personal coolent. Now Dana would not drop some ice cubes down his pants no matter how hot it got!

Of course!
At least once, I would like to bring what I want.
How do you like Plato's Closet? How are the prices? Rachel has been talking about going there, but we haven't made it yet.
So apparently I'm a bad mommy.Terra has had a cough for week or two. It started with the congestion a week or so ago and the cough is lingering. The last couple of days it has gotten a little worse - deeper and more hacking. So what do I do today....let her play outside for an hour. The temps weren't terrible - mid40s when we were out - and I did bundle her up a lot, but it was still chilly. I just felt so bad because she wanted to build a "Snow Phil" and do some sledding so much. So we build the Snow Phil, took a few runs down the hill, I pulled her a few circles around the yard and we had a great snowball fight. Lots of fun all around. However, she hasn't stopped coughing since we came inside.
Not much coughing while we were out, but constant now. Hopefully it will clear up by Monday, but if not, I think that it's time to call the doctor.
How totally cool! I bet it would be really good with barbecue potato chips!
Lindsay - It is an Evolt 410. Or something like that. The model that starts with a "5" is the one with image stabilization. I think it would be fun to introduce our DHs.I would like to meet Jonathan, too!
Sorta/kinda well not really.....I only have breakfast at CP and dinner at CG for May 6th. Haven't really thought about anything else. SO....we are wide open. We arrive on the 4th.
Do you have plans for Sunday night or Monday? I would LOVE to meet up with you.
Lindsay - The salon was hopping today! I am actually not sure which one is Mark. They have Landon in the corner right next to the break room since he is only there for a week out of each month. I did see a new guy there today but I didn't ask Landon about him. A lot of times when I go Landon is there by himself so the "new" guy may not be that new!![]()
Landon shaved his head to be an extra in a movie. He never did get around to telling me the details on that. He is still just adorable without hair.

Sounds like Alyssa needs to refine her technique. Chose ice cream, then ask to watch the movie when you get home.![]()
Lindsay- Did you get the package yet?
My little one is just a bit cranky. It is my DH who is the crank and a half! Don't know if he's not feeling well or if he's just had enough of winter but it is getting old!
He worked for Fannie May and just took a buyout in the spring or summer. Now he is a masseuse.
Can he come to VA and tutor me??If we ever get our guys together, Jonathan is a good tutor on cameras! He has taught his mom, SIL, and his coworker how to use them.![]()
Tammi - I'm guessing it's because the std. rooms at the BC have 2 queens, and a daybed, so they can sleep 5. The configurations for the studios and 1 BR don't have a sleeping spot for a 5th person.
I've read on the DVC board in the past that MS will allow you to book 5 people into a 1 BR, but their line is that they don't provide anything for that 5th person - no extra towels, no additional linens, etc. I'm guessing you could bring a blow-up bed for the 5th person, especially if you drive.
The only downside is that the 5th person wouldn't get a room key, so that could prove to be a problem for evening EMH's.
Good luck!
No, you're already taken. Are you going for the Kitchensink?![]()
A few weeks ago we were out to dinner at a buffet and my Alyssa decided that she had had enough ice cream and wanted more fruit!Tonight, we gave Alyssa the choice of going out for ice cream or watching Beauty and the Beast. She chose the movie. What is wrong with my child?!!Seriously, it's not like we never watch movies around here!!!

It took me quite some time to figure out the purpose of this picture. Then I finally got it!
She doesn't know about the employee discount...But she did mention that every single woman she saw had on extraordinary diamond jewelry. Since she and Kristin don't like diamonds very much (silly fools) I guess I will be forced to have to wear any that she receives. I wonder how high I can stack those rings on my fingers??

I have booked a savanna-view Club Level room but it is at rack rate as there were no AAA discounts available on those rooms. Bob and I started talking about what we really wanted to do on this trip. We will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary (a couple of months late, but we can't get away in July this year) so we talked about how to best splurge on this shorter trip.
We both decided there are some amazing signature restaurants we would love to experience so have decided this will be the "September to Remember" definitive food and beverage trip. We are having Chanon book a savanna-view room with the Deluxe Dining package. Even if free dining is an option, I think the AAA discount on the room will offset that cost and make it about the same. (Chanon: I am assuming that Club Level is not available for the discounted AAA package either, but if it is we probably need to talk again...)
We will have a total of 24 TS and 16 snack credits to use for the 5 days we are there. That way we can eat an early breakfast at Boma (or somewhere else, including room service if we wish), use our two snack credits at the F&W Festival booths and then have a late dinner at any restaurant we want (including in-room dining and excluding V&A and Bistro, I think). Everything except the gratuities and alcohol will be paid for already. We won't have to think about the budget if we want to eat lobster at $55 pp or a $20 appetizer that might appeal to one of us.
well im home from dinner--it was fun, but im exhausted
But i got to talk to Frankie--one of our new friends that works on cruise ships--he only can use his cell phone on saturdays so it was so nice to talk to him.
I had an interesting experience tonight though--i did a split in the ladies room haha
I went to get a paper towel and there was water on the floor and i basically did a split--grabbed onto the sink so i didnt fall---my brothers girlfriend was in the bathroom with me and was hysterical..thats my dumb move for the night!
Of course!
Well, I'm about 3/4 of the way done with my shirt. I have to finish the neckline (elastic) and hem. There are also a couple of finishing touches on the sleeves that I need to make. It won't take much more than an hour to finish tomorrow.
It was nice. I had the salmon with coconut rice and Bob had the ribeye. We enjoyed it, plus we each had a glass of wine. Had to pass on dessert though, we were stuffed. Good food and good service.
Deb - before I forget... QVC's Today's Special Value is a Garmin!
Elin,
Very cute card. I really like the Wine Cooler.
Congrats on your daughter getting both job offers. I know she will get the one she wants. Boston is not that far away. We could do a DDA meet. I have not been there in over 20 years. I would love to visit there again. We could ride the Ducks![]()

Well, I have the material cut out for one shirt. I'm amazed at myself. I didn't give up! The new cutting razors sure make it easier than using a pair of scissors. I have to get better at using them though.
I ordered pizza for Gary & the boys & myself a salad. But I think I am going to eat a little bit of the pizza, it smells so good. I have not been eating very good lately![]()
