I'm glad you are home safely Deb. I've been wondering how your commute was.
yep...glad it wasn't a total disaster at work too!!!

I am aiming for that right now....got one more hour to catch up and then dress![]()
Amen, sister! I am so ready for Spring!!!!
Cheese-Broccoli Soup
4 T butter
1-1/2 c chopped broccoli (all fresh veggies please)
1-1/2 c chopped carrots
1-1/2 c chopped celery
1 small onion diced
1/4 lb. canadian ham, diced
1/4 c water
1/3 c flour
4 c milk
1/3-1/2 lb. velveeta cheese
1/2 can undiluted cheddar cheese soup
1/8 t garlic powder
1 T parsley flakes
1/2 t salt & pepper
Combine butter and veggies, ham and water. Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes. Stir in flour. Slowly add milk. Boil to thicken. Lower heat, add cheeses and seasonings. Do not boil again, just heat through. Use a very heavy pan to keep from scorching the milk. Can be doubled and frozen.
To reheat if frozen (we freeze in single serving sizes): Heat, covered, on high for 4 minutes. Stir. Heat for 1-2 more minutes.
Hopefully I'll go back to sleep in a bit, I'm pretty disappointed in myself. I had my BG levels looking really good, I had more sugar yesterday than I should and my levels show it this morning. Here's another "can't sleep" page,

I have to get back to my PP project that I started before the scrapbbok craze, although I am adding some of the elements into the slide show.
I can see it being more fun with adults and a lot of liquor involved!![]()
Robyn - We went to Cafe Brazil. It's a local chain. I had the French Toast with fruit. HUGE portion of melon, strawberries, bananas over French toast with raspberry cream sauce. It's my favorite. They also have an awesome self-serve coffee bar.![]()
We should go there when you guys come to Dallas.
I just realized Lucy is 7 months old today! Where has the time gone?![]()
Sad but true!
And we could visit the Academy, find you and Cassidy both a man in uniform![]()

I forgot to mention - I tried a recipe from the Crock Pot thread. All it was was pork, a packet of onion soup mix, and a can of jellied cranberry sauce (no berries). We threw it into the crock pot until the port was done. Best thing we've made in a long time! You don't taste the cranberry sauce at all, and it goes great with mashed potatoes.
Chanon,
The second golf ball is 1,000% better![]()
