DDA Chapter 3

Deb bummer about the snow boarding being cancelled again!

Chanon have fun with the class!

Jennifer I hope you go in Aug., so I can meet you, but I understand if you switch to Dec. Sorry your back is still bothering you.

Elizabeth sounds like you are getting the run around with the Ins. :sad2:

I know there was more I meant to comment on, but now I don't remember :confused3

:wizard: & to all I have missed.

Did I mention that I am freezing!

Wow! This is a good recap of the things I missed in my last post! :rotfl2:
Jennifer, I absolutely second this! We want to meet you guys, but since I haven't ever traveled with a little one I can't offer any insight as to which would be better!

Just a fly-by post to say hello :wave2:
How is everyone? I hope well.

Hi, Chris! Sorry your snowboarding efforts have been foiled!

DH just called to say that DS's cake looks awesome. I can't wait to see it! I guess if it looks that cool we can post some pics of it, even with his name showing. After everybody has a chance to see it I can always take the pic out of PhotoBucket.

Hi Chris! Good to see you here.

Elizabeth finally some good news concerning the Ins. :thumbsup2

Yeah, only they call me to say school is OPEN! :headache:
I hope your internet stays fixed!

Kristine - Yay for a psychic! If she gets stuck she can call me or Heidi and we will help her!:lmao:
Even bigger yay for a trip in 11 days!! I call for ADRs on Sunday!

So I got a call from the insurance office about 2:30. It was Youngster, calling to tell me they can't process our refinance until they have photocopies of BOTH DRIVER'S LICENSES! :headache:  :headache: I called DH and woke him up from his nap to tell him we had to go BACK to the office. They had all the other paperwork done LAST WEDNESDAY. It took them a WEEK to figure this out! So DH met me over there and they copied our DLs. Then she faxed them in and the finance people said they will overnight a check to Nissan. Maybe today, but maybe not until tomorrow. :rolleyes1

Then we went into the other agent's office to try to hash out the billing mess. It is wrong, we have been double billed for DH's life policies, I don't have to send in the amount on the statement. So I *think* it is all taken care of.

The only thing left is for DH to go to the dealership and fill out the paperwork to get the gap insurance refunded. But he agreed to work SEVEN days next week so he won't have any time off to go do that.:sad2:

glad you got the insurance hopefully taken care of. I need to make a decision soon. as my ADR window is in 2 weeks.

When I called Disney, the CM asked me if I was currently at Disney. It took me aback a minute until I realized I had forgotten to turn down my Disney music which I've been playing to motivate me. :lmao:
:rotfl2:

Hope you are all feeling better soon :wizard:
Thanks! Emma was feeling better and has kept everything down today but her fever is back now. Poor little thing! Lizzy was fine about an hour after she got home. Joe is freaking out that he may catch it. He doesn't want to be in the same room as Emma.

How frustrating! At least it sounds like they are starting to resolve things.

Hi everyone!

11 days til WDW! I can't believe it.

Jackie is sick today...hopefully she recovers in time for her party on Friday.
:wizard: Hope she recovers fast! Wow-only 11 days!

Cool! Would love to see a photo!

Hi Chris, gald that you stopped by. I like the new siggy, no more clowns. :yay:

yes the ticker is nice to see, I doubt she will be walking by then. Maybe we should not go in Aug.. Maybe we should wait till Dec.
My back is not getting better:mad: I don't know what to do. I am supposed to work tomorrow. but even the slightest movement can cause spaspms. I have set in the desk chair with a heating pad on all day.

Maybe she wouldn't be walking in Dec though and then you put it off for no reason. :confused3 Terra did great even not walking! She crawled all over the place - play areas, carpeted areas - but then I was the kind of mom who would let her. I would just walk straddling her and let her go. She slept just fine in the stroller and always transferred well so that wasn't a problem either. The rides were not harder/easier from the few months pre-walking to those post-walking. In fact, her not wanting down was probably easier in the lines than when she wanted to walk on her own. I used my hip carrier with her in lines, at night, in shows, etc and it was pretty easy.

Hi, Chris! Nice to see you again! Sorry about the snowboarding. That's got to be a bummer for the boys.

Are you looking forward to the game this weekend?

I would probably always choose the holiday times, but can see the pros/cons to each. Good luck with your decision!

Oh yeah, Jennifer, there is that too! If you can equally go in Aug or Dec, I would go for the holiday stuff and the (hopefully) cooler temperatures. If Aug is a lot easier for you, then stick with it.

I have just about all of the misc. stuff taken care of. If I can figure out where to put it, I'll be done in 15 minutes. All that is left after that is 2 boxes of paperwork. Most of that is scrapbooking stuff. I have drawers to sort those into so that won't take long either. :woohoo: I'm almost finished.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: You're almost there!!!!

Jennifer - The things to watch out for in December are:
The rate change from Value to Holiday (around Dec. 17), the parade taping, Pop Warner, and holiday upcharge on meals. Parade weekend makes MK REALLY crowded, but if you can stay out of MK those days it probably isn't a big deal. In '06 we were really cold at MVMCP, but in '07 it was barely cold enough for a sweatshirt. That makes packing tricky.
I agree with Tia that you never know what timeline kids will walk on. My first charge could cruise furniture when she was 7 mos. DS didn't even pull himself to stand until 9 mos. and he didn't PREFER walking until about 13 mos. My friend's charge is 15 mos. and still doesn't walk, so you just never know.

 Chris. Love the new signature. Question is...your doing or Deb's? ;)

Elizabeth - Hope that the insurance mess is finally cleared up. Good luck to DH surviving 7 days. Please do post a pic of the cake. I'd love to see it.

Well, I finally got a pin code email today. It came with the email saying that my new planning DVD was in the mail. Thing is, I'm not sure it's a good deal for me. Apparently, it's only 20% which, I think, is about $8-10/night more than the AAA discount. Plus, we'd have to add 2-3 nights at either rack or AAA rate. In that case, I'm better off paying for the AAA membership I think. So, I guess I'm back to hoping that there is some good "general public" code to come or maybe free dining in the fall (if we can pull things together quick enough to take advantage of it). Guess I need to get my taxes, etc together and see what I might have extra coming in.

I've been playing with designs in Photoimpact. I'm not sure that I like any of them. This is what I've got so far.

Any suggestions?

(I made Chris's siggy :rotfl: He does like it though)
