DDA Chapter 3

I hope you all are doing well. I had an absolutely AWFUL night. The winds picked up again (our giant gas grill ended up 2 lots over, if that's saying anything), I slept about 45 minutes, and had a massive asthma attack when trying to sleep in the guest bedroom. What the heck?! New allergy to the comforter? I know we keep that room clean, and everything is washed fairly regularly, so again -- what the heck? My chest is still killing me.

Oh well. I'm leaving early today, and if Eric suggests otherwise I will probably just kill him, however inadvertently. :rolleyes1

Have a great day! :teeth:

I'm sorry to hear it, Jennifer!

I thought about all of you with sleep problems, as I didn't get to bed until really late (fighting with Sprint :headache: and then working on a friend's WDW trip itinerary), and then my dog woke me up every hour until my alarm went off. I am a zombie today!

not really. it must be the way I'm sleeping I slept on my right side with a pillow behind my back. Nut when I went to move to get Virginia the spasms started again they are all on the left side. I took a hot shower around 545 when Jeff got thru with his. he had to be at work at 6. I took some adbil around 615 right now i have a heating pad on it and if I try to stretch wich the drs told me to do it spasms. I need to get better I have to work tomorrow.

I hope they stop soon, Jennifer! :wizard:

I should video them & post it here!!!!!:rotfl:

You should!

To most - Stay warm! It's cold here today too. Plus, they've already issued a winter storm warning for tomorrow afternoon. Apparently, the storm hasn't even fully formed yet, but they're calling for 6+ inches of snow. Guess Terra will get to break out those snow pants after all.

Wow! I hope things aren't as bad as their predicting! :wizard:

I looked at my Paypal, and my payment for the Magic MouseMeet came out February 20th..

Thanks for that info, Stephanie. That's good to know, as I'd really like to go this year!

It's good to see you around!

well I made my packing list I think I have everything on their its 2 pages LOL

Wow - you're getting organized early!

O yes, its long over due. The problems are getting worse the older I get and I the problems are twice as likely to cause cancer if something is not done.

Well, then I'm very happy for you, Heidi! :woohoo:

Lindsay - You are welcome to stop by for cake. My house is a gigantic mess, but that's pretty much the permanent state of things.;)

Still no word from the insurance people, but I didn't really expect them to call. I will call them once they have had time to get back from lunch. I called Nissan again and they still don't have the payoff.

If anybody has the 2008 Birnbaum book I would LOVE to have the 20% off fishing excursion coupon from the back if you aren't going to use it. DH really wants to do the bass fishing charter and I don't know if there is any other way to get a discount.

Hopefully, I can resist - my waistline demands it! ;)

Sorry that the insurance problem still is unresolved. The customer service industries really do stink these days. :headache:

Ugh - I wish I had known there was a coupon in it! DH and his dad did the bass nitro excursion in Dec. as a Christmas gift to my FIL. There were no AP, AAA, Disney Visa, or DVC discounts. I never even thought to check the Birnbaum book, as I never get that one!

I had to run Lucy back to the Drs this morning as she has been wheezing the last few nights. Her cough also came back. So after having them squeeze us in and waiting for over an hour, she checks out fine. Dr said her lungs sound clear and that she just has a cold. I guess that good but she sounds a lot like she did before we left. Eric thinks it's something in the house as she was normal the whole time in WDW. I guess it could be the weather changes.

The nurse said that she lost a pound since her last visit which was 3 days before we left. I don't think I should worry about that as at first she when she weighed her she said Lucy weighed 22lbs. I really would find it hard to believe that she gained 6lbs in 2 weeks. The office staff drives me crazy.

I bet you anything it has to do with the weather!

:wizard: :wizard: I hope she's back to her smiley self soon!

Hi everyone!

11 days til WDW! I can't believe it.

Jackie is sick today...hopefully she recovers in time for her party on Friday.

Scrapbook projects look great!

Lucy is a cutie!

:wizard: :wizard: for Jackie! So, what are the final plans for the party?

You'll be in WDW soon - yay!!!!! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone, I am sorry I have not been posting, I was so upset having to see us start a new thread. I just do not understand why it had to be done. I am unhappy that the old one cannot be found. I forgot to write down things I wanted to look up and now cannot remember what they were. I guess I just had a pi$$y attitude and wanted to whine, whine, whine.

I really am doing good. I did stay home yesterday because the bathroom and I became intimate friends all day. I had soup today for lunch but it did not like me. I came home and had tea and crackers tonight and rested on the recliner for a few hours with a few cuddly kitties making sure to lay on my belly which actually helped. Purring is so soothing. :goodvibes

So now I have to catch up.

Terry! I'm so glad that you came back!!! I was starting to worry about you. Sorry that you were not feeling so hot, but I'm hopeful that today is a better day!

Glynis,

I really liked the Cheesecake Factory when we all met in Baltimore. The servings are huge. The cheesecake selections was vast and too many to choose from. I think I got something with bananas?

The banana cream cheesecake is the next flavor I want to try! I do have to say that I was in heaven with the lemon raspberry one!

Tammi and Lindsay, here is a blurb from that website with the class. I think I am going to sign up for it. I need help!

Q: Do I need to be online every day?
A: No. There is no set schedule, and you don't need to be online every day. The time frame we've set is mainly for the message board and gallery, and so you can plan when the new lessons become available (it's each Monday), but other than that, this class is for you to work at your own pace and when you have time to do it.

Thanks for the info, Robyn! This really might be doable, then!

yes the ticker is nice to see, I doubt she will be walking by then. Maybe we should not go in Aug.. Maybe we should wait till Dec.

My back is not getting better:mad: I don't know what to do. I am supposed to work tomorrow. but even the slightest movement can cause spaspms. I have set in the desk chair with a heating pad on all day.

Hmm. Well, it's still value season in early December, and the weather is cooler....

I would probably always choose the holiday times, but can see the pros/cons to each. Good luck with your decision!

I hope your back begins cooperating! :wizard: :wizard:

Clare - I just have to say that I love your 50 book challenge! Didn't you just love the Book Thief!!! I think it's one of the best books I've read in the last 10 years!

I hired a psychic who will be reading palms and that kind of stuff. Pizza, cake, loud music....teen girl stuff:scared1:

:wizard: :wizard: for Jackie! So, what are the final plans for the party?

You'll be in WDW soon - yay!!!!! :thumbsup2

She was 13 or 14 months on her first week long WDW trip. Oh yeah, and not walking so that made a big difference. We were at DL 1-4 times a week from the time she was 6 months old. Not the same, I know, but you get lots of experience with the little things then.

How old with Virginia be if you go this year? What about next? I can probably give you loads of advice for both ages! Just ask away.

I've taken kids to DL at as young as 3 months. It really was no problem.

Who wants to celebrate with me?

My obgyn, said today that its about time to have a hysterectomy.

I'll celebrate with you!!! That's a day I'm looking forward to. I told Alan that I'm getting a hysterectomy for my 45th birthday at the latest!!!

Marci - You should be proud of yourself for exercising! I just can't seem to figure that out. Especially when it is 30-something degrees outside! Of course I could go walk in the mall if I was really serious.

Lindsay - Good luck evading capture by the Valentine candy!

Jennifer - We've been twice in August and twice in December. The only thing about December is it can be REALLY cold. August is always hot, so it is easier to plan for!:rotfl2:

You're almost there! I have no idea where I am but I'm steadily making progress.

I think I just broke it! It won't even let me sign in now-says they are having technical problmes. I have been working at for about 3 hours and did about 10 photos-multiple borders per photo. I keep thinking what if I wish I had this picture with this borders.......I wish photopass would just give you software to add the borders at home when you buy the photos on CD.

Congrats on the milestone Miss Jennifer! :teeth: I agree with whomever posted that Virginia might be teething...either that or she found a new hobby! :rotfl:

Robyn - Lucy is just too cute!!!!

Feel better Vicki!

Here's my third attempt - my first two are on the other computer and Bob deleted them already. Go figure. It's not my favorite...there really are too many things to figure out at once with this thing! I need a manual. There has to be a "Dummies guide to Photoshop" right??
AnimalKingdom.jpg

Night everyone!

Love it. Very creative

It's about time you came back. Things haven't been the same without you. I hope your feeling better today

As for distinguishing the stroller, Stephanie made a printout of her DGS's picture and put it in a plastic sleeve with the words "If this is not your kid, this is not your stroller" or words to that affect

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow all this talk about Scarlet Fever made me remember when my Mom had it when I was about 14. The Dr came to visit and when he left, there was a quarantine sign on the back door.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I got no sleep last night. Throat still hurts & so does my stomach but I was called into work today so that should be fun....not.
Hopefully it will be a slow day.

After work, I have religion. Yes, my boys will be here tonight. I think what I am going to do is if they can't calm down & stop yelling & am going to just call their parents to come get them. I am not going to try to read over their yelling especially the way I feel today.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for everyone whose not feeling well!

Have a great day!

:wizard: A doctor's visit may be in order

Well, the temperature here is -15 before the wind chill. The wind is howling and the trees are swaying! All the schools in the area are closed. It's a pretty nasty day out there.

Stay in and keep warm

I'm working on organizing my paperwork so that I can be more efficient for work. My office really needs to get done. I'm so much closer than I have ever been. I can't believe that I'm still motivated to work on it even though I am down to the hard stuff to decide on. This is usually where I stop because I just don't know what to do with it. I've decided this time, it will either find a permanent home or it will be gone from my home!!!!

You can do it. Just keep swimming. Think of how good you'll feel :thumbsup2

Who wants to celebrate with me?

My obgyn, said today that its about time to have a hysterectomy.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

It's Wednesday...Snowboarding Day!!! and yep you guess it...CANCELLED

We had rain last night which caused icy roads so school was delayed 2 hours...and then cancelled. The Rec Dept decided to keep the ski program running, until around 1 PM when we were still getting heavy rains and they decided to cancel. We would be there now and I'm looking out at bright sunny skies. Of course the temp is going to drop and I'm sure everything will be glare ice. We simply cannot win this winter.

So I guess I have an extra night at home :cool1:

I'm thinking she likes the tropical weather better than the dry cold air of the mid-Atlantic area. ;)

Thanks, Robyn. I'll have to look into it further.

Our school delay phone called arrived at 5:50 AM. I thought of Elizabeth :rotfl2:

Our internet was down this morning too. The whole neighborhood, but Comcast insisted that each of us were unique events. They actually told SIL that she needed a new modem :confused3 We did figure out though that if we all call multiple times they will come fix it just to shut us up :rolleyes1

I have just about all of the misc. stuff taken care of. If I can figure out where to put it, I'll be done in 15 minutes. All that is left after that is 2 boxes of paperwork. Most of that is scrapbooking stuff. I have drawers to sort those into so that won't take long either. :woohoo: I'm almost finished.

My material is in the washing machine. I just did that on my break. After work, I'll put it in the dryer. I'm hoping to start cutting out fabric tonight.
