DDA Chapter 3

I am thinking of booking a trip to WDW Dec. 30-Jan 8. I wonder how horrible the crowds would be?

no not yet...I can't decide, what & where

:) Hey, I could pretty much be the mom to a couple of the "youngsters" on here.:scared1: Bill told me 40 didn't bother him at all. He had a crisis at 30! What a turkey! :rotfl:

Biologically you might have been able to swing it, but it would have been quite scandalous!:rotfl2: Who is the youngest? Becky? And she's 24, isn't she?
I'll be 38 in August. Not really a milestone year, but I figured I'll stay concierge and do the Safari anyway!!;) Oh, and I'll have a fabulous cake. :thumbsup2

Beth - it's so nice to see you popping in. Here's hoping the ball and the meet both go well, and that Laura doesn't burn her candle too hard at both ends!

Thanks! She's young, I think I'm the one who has to worry about burning my candle at both ends. The flame is a little weak these days. :rotfl:

We had to leave early for synchro this morning to stop by the walk-in to have her finger looked at. It looks infected, but we don't know why. The are trying 5 days of Bactrim and hoping that knocks out whatever it is.

Nails are done. Flowers are picked up. We have to leave in 10 minutes for hair. I still have to get my appetizers together.

I guess I shouldn't be here. :upsidedow

I'll let you know how it all goes!

Beth

Good morning chatty DDA!!

We have to clean today....it's been put off to long:scared: and get Cassidy ready for her dance tonight....plans fell through for all of her friends to go as singles as one asked a boy (Sadie Hawkins dance) hopefully she'll still have fun.

People have been saying that the crowds don't drop off in January as early as they used to. I can tell you DS won't go back to school until at least January 6 next year, so I would imagine other schools would be out, too.

I am getting a 10" vanilla cake with whipped cream frosting and strawberries & custard filling. I'll have it delivered to dinner at Citrico's on my actual birthday. I never saw any cakes from Cali Grill that impressed me, so I figured I'll stick to the GF bakery.

Elin...all I remember about BC/CL is that it was on the 5th floor.

I can't believe I am heading to WDW in 2 weeks!!!! Hopefully the 40th bday part won't put me over the edge :rotfl:

Don't worry about 40. It's just a number! You will have an incredible time, and won't even think about the number!

Cassidy and Abi liked it too (shhh....don't tell them I liked it also;) )

Abi's looking at the schedule for you to see when it plays next

Tell Abi thanks for me! She is such a doll! We don't have a tv schedule. Actually, we don't get a newspaper at all. Alan is surrounded by the news all day, and refuses to have to deal with it when he gets home!

I loved The Book Thief. It took me a little bit to get into it, but then I thought it was fabulous.

I bought Laura Twilight for Christmas. She loved it and told me to read it. I very quickly bought (and read) New Moon and Eclipse. I almost never buy books in hard cover, and then I bought two within a week! That is a fantastic story. I can't wait for the fourth to come out.

I KNEW YOU WOULD LOVE THEM!!! I am anxiously awaiting the fourth book! So, are you an Edmund fan or a Jacob fan! I can't decide which I like better. I really hope that the fourth book deals more with Jacob and his search at this point!

As for Book Thief. It is a book that stays with you for a long time! I read it once, and then had to read it again and again. There's just so much that resonates with me in that book.

my kids go back on the 5th...but I would just pull them for a few days. The points for DVC are much less in January...I was thinking of doing another AKL concierge stay.

Glynis...if I could only bottle up your positive attitude and then open it as needed..I'd be in great shape!! :)

Jackie and I blasted through the first book...I am waiting for parts 2 & 3 to be delivered through Barnes & Noble

Clare recommended that book to me...I am hoping I can get into it. I am not so much into war time books..so I hope I can stick with it.

You will be able to. It's written so well, and beautifully. The characters are so real.

It couldn't be worse than Dec. 26 - Jan. 5 of this year, I wouldn't think. :confused3

I just checked airfare. Yay! (Not really.) It has dropped back down to $377! It was $427 all week.

DS wants to have his presents TODAY. I told him he has to wait until DH gets home.

I keep checking June airfare...the cheapest I can find is $291. I am wondering if that will be as good as I can get?

I can't think of a better place to be for your 40th, you should pamper yourself with a Spa day.
