I completely agree with you! That's exactly the way I felt. I was really angry with the negative stuff being said about the books/movie. I feel like parents should read the books and form their own opinions rather than letting someone else do it for them.

Have you read "The Book Thief?" Fabulous book!!!

I haven't read that one! I need to browse throught the library website to see what's new. I was just thinking how my January has been SO much busier than December, which is kind of ironic.
I have seen some really lame/bizarre/silly science projects. I think Katie's project sounds kind of neat. DS just told me his friend's project was "Which Shoe Kicks a Ball Farthest?" There is no way I would allow a project like that because there is no way to keep the data consistent. Of course you can't kick a ball at the same angle, speed, and velocity each time so you can't say how much influence is really the shoe! I told him the only way to measure that would be to have a machine calibrated to kick the ball EXACTLY the same way every time. I also told him not to tell his friend I said that. :rolleyes1

my grandma passed last night at about 7:30

Karen, I am sorry for your loss.

Elin...all I remember about BC/CL is that it was on the 5th floor.

I can't believe I am heading to WDW in 2 weeks!!!! Hopefully the 40th bday part won't put me over the edge :rotfl:

Glynis - Your dinner sounds lovely! :goodvibes I am so glad you enjoyed the food and the company!

I need to go to the mall. I can't decide if I want to go today or just wait and go tomorrow. Those Merrell sandals are still too tight without socks (which I suspected would be the case). There is a Macy's and a Talbots at the Galleria so I can do all of my returns at one mall. And if I am feeling brave I can pop into Old Navy. ;) I bought a package of underwear for DS at Gap in the next size. They look pretty big! I suppose he will grow into them, but I don't know if he will want to wear underwear with little robots in them when he is in high school! :rotfl2:

Thanks, Kristine. Forty isn't so bad. myBob and I will celebrate 35 years of marriage and 40 years of dating/marriage this year! Whoa... now I feel old. I am old enough to be your Mom!

Katie and Jacob loved Minute Men! I only got to see the last bit of it. When is it going to be on again?

Cassidy and Abi liked it too (shhh....don't tell them I liked it also;) )

Abi's looking at the schedule for you to see when it plays next

I loved The Book Thief. It took me a little bit to get into it, but then I thought it was fabulous.

I bought Laura Twilight for Christmas. She loved it and told me to read it. I very quickly bought (and read) New Moon and Eclipse. I almost never buy books in hard cover, and then I bought two within a week! That is a fantastic story. I can't wait for the fourth to come out.

no not yet...I can't decide, what & where

You can handle it, Kristine! Did you order yourself a fabulous cake?

:) Hey, I could pretty much be the mom to a couple of the "youngsters" on here.:scared1: Bill told me 40 didn't bother him at all. He had a crisis at 30! What a turkey! :rotfl:

Clare recommended that book to me...I am hoping I can get into it. I am not so much into war time books..so I hope I can stick with it.

I thought those three looked good....I am glad somebody else has read them and liked them:goodvibes
